Cricket looks over her list of 'who is on her boat' and frowns. Clearly she was expecting better. Like maybe not having to babysit. None the less, she does a quick head count, but doesn't really seem all too inclined to care if everybody is there or not. You may just have to keep up with her if you want to get back home...The ListCalder (MK) - 32 HP Seiji (Bee) - 32 HP Lizzy (Dragain) - 32 HP Jove (Grey) - 32 HP Thackery (nyet) - 32 HP Alessa (ary) - 32 HP Draven (grngriff) - 32 HP Aymet (tig) - 32 HP Aldara (skye) - 32 HP Charlie (chobi) - 32 HP Elaphe (han) - 7 HP because he's a shrimp32 HP

Day 0; Got assignment of students who will be on my ship. I assume if I bring at least five of them back, the Headmistress won't get too mad. And Arel will get a lot of paperwork. Win-win.

It had been many years since Hobknocker had been on a boat and he was excited. He would get to play pirate! "Arrrrrrr mateys," he began, drawing each syllable out far longer than he should, "Any students that disobey's meself and me captain shall walk the plank." He was wearing a captain's hat himself though oblivious of the fact and sported a shiny hook on his right hand. His kitten strutted nearby, a bandanna tied carefully around her head. His spirit was light and jovial and if all went well, he would try to make this experience as fun as possible for the students. Of course, if they caused any trouble, he meant what he said about the plank. Surely the Headmistress and Professors would not notice a missing student or two..?

She had woken up a good 2 hours before the stipulated time, having slept earlier the previous night so that she wouldn't feel too lethargic, and it did the trick. After a quick shower (quick by her standards anyway) and checking that the little Minipet door was working right so her Minipets could go hunting for food, she had left silently after giving each of them a soft kiss. Her carry-on luggage was tightly packed with clothes as well as a bathing suit and an inflatable float... Just in case. She just can't bring herself to trust the staff or Calder, and there was Charlie to look after...
Thankfully, Rosenthal was out late the previous night (doing who knows what) and she managed to leave without the Minipet waking up and throwing a fit. She arrived at the docks earlier than expected, and wandered about - she was already starting to miss her friends... It didn't feel like a proper field trip without having someone beside her to hold hands with and hug! Having Charlie around was nice, but he could be rather unpredictable at times... What if he threw himself off the boat? She frowned, chewing on her lower lip nervously as she walked towards boat number 5...
It looks like it could sink any moment now.
She hesitated, staring at the boat made of rotting wood; it was definitely Nurse Cricket's... The state of the wood reminded her of her first aid class, after all. Pulling her luggage on board, she gave the Nurse a bow out of respect (and partially to hopefully make a decent impression) before turning to the Undead ToT and offering him a smile. Then, she wandered to the bow with her luggage in tow before staring at the other boats and wondering if Amrita and Tess were already on their boats, and if they were safe. Meanwhile, she would wait for more students to board this boat... Hopefully they wouldn't sink by then.

Jove looked around with big, curious eyes as he boarded the boat. It hadn't taken him long to pack, the ghost didn't need more than a change of clothes and something to sleep in, and was thus one of the first students to arrive on deck.
He dragged his bag on behind him despite it's lack of wheels, holding his breath past the Trick or Treater assistant, and up to the teacher where he quietly offered his name for attendance-taking purposes. He hadn't met the Nurse before now, but he knew he would remember the earthy wood smell of her. It was all around the large decaying ship. Would it even float long enough to get them to their destination?
The pup fretted slightly as he looked around, and spotted another student who had also arrived early. He hadn't met her before... Although he had seen her once in class. She looked about as nervous as he felt, and the pup didn't feel quite as afraid of her as he did of being all by himself until someone he knew came on board. With a shy, downwards tilt of his head, he padded over to stand near her.

Already quite used to being up and about in the wee hours of the morning, the ghost had no trouble getting up with his alarm a good hour and a half before he was required to be anywhere. Of course the presence of another body in his bed made him extremely reluctant to actually get up. He'd hit the snooze a couple times, enjoying the warmth and closeness of the monster ghoul beside him, then finally had to drag himself out from under the covers to get ready. After seeing Junko to the door he'd gone about his usual morning routine and stopped only to investigate the contents of the suitcase the ghoul had packed for him.
Clothing, toiletries, and there, right on top, was a little box tied with a ribbon. He frowned at it as he picked it up and gave it a small shake, rattling the insides. More chocolates? He wasn't sure, but he'd find out later when he opened it. Oddly enough, he'd actually done something similar to her own luggage before leaving her dorm the evening before. White day was coming up after all, and he wasn't entirely certain he'd see her on the actual day, so he'd slipped a present in her suitcase.
Closing up his carry on, he stuffed his phone in his pocket before slipping out of his room, closing the door quietly behind him so he wouldn't wake the sleeping minis still sleeping on the bed and in his chair.
When he got the boats, or specifically boat, the ghost came to a sudden stop to stare up at the thing. "There is no way in hell that is sea worthy.." Last he checked rotting boards weren't the most dependable, and while he wasn't feeling too bad about the trip in the beginning, he was starting to understand why the other students who had been there longer were so edgy about field trips.
He watched as a short pink haired demon boarded with her luggage, waiting to see if the whole thing buckled beneath her, then hesitantly stepped forward himself. He was heavier then her, there was no doubt about that, but he was also a ghost. With a little effort he was able to put a bit of float in his step, not trusting the rotted wood under foot just yet. When more people joined them on board maybe he'd actually let his feet rest on the deck itself.
On second thought.. Maybe not. "Shoddy a** piece of... " He trailed off looking quite skeptical of the situation. Then spotted small blue frame that had to be Jove. Not that he knew him, but Junko had explained in detail those she knew, and there had been much use of labels such as 'Cute', and 'Adorable'. This had to be him. "Hey, You're Jove, right?" He'd been asked to keep an eye on the pup from both his ghoul and her best friend, but he wasn't about to say as much. "I'm Seiji, friend of Junko and Yaya's." Letting his feet actually touch the deck he walked over to the whisp.

If Amrita was the most adorable student she had ever known, this student probably came close to that same level of adorableness just by standing there. She was sure she had seen him in one of her classes before - Minipet class maybe? - but they had never spoken to each other before. She paused, staring at him for a while longer before smiling at him. He looked rather shy, so it would be good for her to initiate, right?
Instincts kicked in as she let go of her luggage before bending down to his eye level (she was so used to it!), giving him a smile in greeting, "Hi! I'm Lizzy... Its nice to meet you!" Now that she was looking directly at his face, her expression softened even further; he looks like a little lost pup!
The arrival of yet another student caused her to look up, however, and she smiled at him too, giving him a nod of greeting - it was only polite! Besides, he seems to know the name of the younger student?

Jove's head tilted slightly as the ghoul, Lizzy, bent down to his level and introduced herself. She looked so very friendly, and it was a welcome relief to know that this whole trip wasn't going to be a mess of frightening older students, sinking boats, and Jack knows what else. Surely there would be plenty of other hazards though, if it was anything like the last field trip Yaya had described to him on their first meeting. Briefly he wondered if Yaya was going to be okay, and Ren, and all the other friends he had met since starting at the school.
He gave Lizzy a shy tail wag in greeting, but he didn't need to speak up before he heard his name from an unfamiliar voice behind him.
The ghost's ears swiveled around rapidly as he turned to face the boil, and his initial reaction was to shrink away until Seiji finished his own introduction. He did look very intimidating to the pup. Sniffing the air he was able to detect a very faint, familiar scent around the boil, and the tail wag that followed was as clear an answer as a nod would have been. It was very thin, almost undetectable over the smell of rotting wood, but there was something of his friends clinging to the older student's scent.
Maybe this trip wouldn't be too bad...

Oh! He responded! If her face softened anymore, it would probably look rather JOYful, so she stopped there. She tilted her head, "Jove, is it? Well, lets make the best of this trip, shall we!" Now that introductions with the younger student was done, she turned to look at the other boil that had arrived, still smiling away as she found her mood lightening from the new company - it was rather nice to know that she wasn't exactly alone on this! Hopefully, Amrita felt the same way...
"Don't believe we've met!" She nodded at him, straightening up before tilting her head slightly, a thoughtful expression on her face; was he new to the school? It would explain why she had never seen him around before! Placing a hand on her chest to gesture to herself, she then continued, "I'm Lizzy, its a pleasure to meet you!"

Oh jeez. He'd hoped Junko had been exaggerating, as she was prone to do, but those ears, that wagging tail. He was, without a doubt, absolutely adorable. On par even with Tomoko, and that was certainly saying something. Idly he wondered why he'd never seen the pup around the ghost dorms, but he himself was new, so he hadn't seen much of anyone yet.
He didn't bother offering a hand out for a shake, knowing from conversations with the ghouls that that wasn't the best of ideas. Instead he stuffed his hands in his pockets (Clawed hand going in very carefully), and leaned back into a casual slouch. "I'll take that as a yes." He could see now why he'd been asked to keep an eye on the younger boil, he was a runt of a thing. "You can stick with me, alright?"
The polite nod from the demon beside him did not go unnoticed, and he turned a smile down to her as well, returning the gesture with a little bob of his chin. Then she turned and actually introduced herself formally. "Nice to meet you." He added, taking his human hand from his pocket and holding out to her for a shake. Junko had mentioned a Lizzy, and that she seemed nice. So far that description seemed accurate. "I'm Seiji."

Handshakes weren't her preferred way of greeting, especially even more after the Mac-Demon-phobia incident(s), but if he was offering, it must mean that he trusts her, right? That or he's oblivious - which was actually kind of a good thing for her... Handshakes don't cause contracts. There must be a contract between two parties - the handshake is just a way of making it official and binding both parties to it. At least, she was sure it was that way... Stupid Silly Mac Puppy and his silly phobias.
Taking Seiji's hand and giving it a firm but friendly shake before letting go, she looked at him, than at Jove, and then back to him again. He seemed protective of the younger boil - for her, it was probably just her... Uh, instincts kicking in, like it did with Amrita back during the Christmas Raid, but what about him? At least he looked reliable! Feeling rather curious, she couldn't help but ask casually, a small smile on her lips, "You and Jove know each other? I didn't see either of you around before... Could you be new to the school by any chance?"
Of course, she looked at Jove as well as Seiji when she asked the question; it was meant for both of them!

If the pup had any idea what Seiji had been thinking at that moment, the older boil would have been treated to a world-class scowl. Instead he nodded. Surely Seiji would be able to scare away whatever harm would come their way. Not that Jove would admit he was relieved to have someone tall and intimidating give him an open invitation to hide behind, he wouldn't even think of it in such terms.
With a final "okay, now we all know each other" sort of tail wag, he began looking around the ship questioningly. Even the sails looked tattered... But Lizzy's enthusiasm had buoyed the pup's spirits somewhat, and he could only trust that nobody would suffer any lasting harm on their trip. As he looked around, Jove began to wonder if there was a place they should put their luggage, or if they were to wait on deck for all the other students to arrive.
At Lizzy's question the pup's ears turned, followed by his full attention as he shook his head, and then blushed slightly, his cheeks actually casting a slight glow on his bangs. Someone familiar with his expressions might have interpreted that as "No, I've never met Seiji, but yes, I am sort of new to the school," although his lack of speech would surely be a stumbling block to his new friends during this trip.

The shake was firm, but not too firm. Seiji approved, and even offered the demon ghoul a brighter grin before turning her attention down to Jove at her question. "No, we've never met before, but my ghoulfriend and her friend are both pretty fond of him." He rolled his shoulders in a small shrug. "They told me about him so I'd be able to recognize him." He did not go on to add the details of the ghoul's descriptions. Somehow he doubted the pup would appreciate their choices in terms.
He went on, rocking on hi heels a bit. "And yep, I'm new. Only been here a couple weeks now. Haven't even had a chance to sign up for classes yet." Again he glanced to the side at the younger boil then back to Lizzy. "He's been her longer then me, but not by much." Given that that was an odd bit of information to know, he felt the need to expand on it a bit. "Yaya mentioned running into him on his first day." Then having expanded, he felt that perhaps he hadn't needed to. Oh well.
Like Jove, he too was wondering where exactly they'd be storing their things, and also where they'd be sleeping. With the state of the boat, he had to admit he was a little weary to find out.

She understood the shake of his head as a 'no' to her first question, but she stared long and hard as Jove did something else - probably to answer her second question - and wondered if that was a 'yes' or a 'no'. In end, she decided using logical thinking that it was probably a 'no'; Seiji's words and explanation confirmed her assumptions, however, as her face lit up at the knowledge that she was in fact, right!
"Oh, I see! Well, a belated welcome to the school then, to the both of you! And ghoulfriend? She must be lucky, having you take her words to heart!" She giggled softly, beaming at the two boils; she knew who Yaya was by name, at least! While the state of the boat was definitely unnerving, she wondered if any of them had heard of the many 'horror stories' regarding the previous school-based field trip they had. Of course, the school at least gave them a heads up this time round, but it was still rather... Well, iffy.
"I wonder where we're headed to," She mused out loud with a sheepish smile, grabbing the handle of her luggage as she pulled it closer towards herself, looking around and wondering if there would be further instructions later, "Its my first time on a ship... I'm actually sort of excited." And scared and nervous, but she wasn't about to say that out loud!
