There was always a class where he had to adapt his methods of teaching to meet the needs of his students. Thus far he had taught one other child who's method of fighting was in water. But that particular child had tentacles and he used the class to learn to strike with them. The child he would be teaching today he knew well. It was Saedah's best friend the seahorse boy named Reese.
He knew the boy was in a wheelchair, thus having him in the water would make him more comfortable. He had debated bringing Saedah into the class as a sparring partner for Reese, but the poor girl was quite inept at fighting...and would probably end up a distraction more than anything. So through her disappointment she was to stay home.
Wearing swimming trunks the teacher looked quite out of place. Stern looking as always he awaited Reese's arrival.

The door would open...slowly. Tentatively. Somewhere a gray, almost furry looking flipper stuck out at an odd angle, and a round head with wide, dark eyes peered around close to the floor.
Wheeeh? the head whistled, nervous.
"Merlin, just go forward. It'th ok, really!" Reese said, his voice sounding exasperated.
Merlin, as the head was called, disappeared for a moment before the door was pushed openly more fully by the waddling dragon. Though he still looked nervous, the Merlin took the forward cue and did as he was asked. He was getting very adept at opening doors for his rider, but despite himself the unknown could be very...frightening.
Reese rolled himself forward, taking care not to run over Merlin's flippers, offering something like a smile to the father of his best friend. He wasn't sure how to feel these days about Sae's father. Really, he wasn't sure how he felt about any adult anymore. So many of them seemed to be liars, and hurtful.
"Hey Mithter Kuyoja," he offered politely as he moved out of the door's way so that Merlin could let it shut behind them, before the dragon took a sheltered spot at the side of Reese's wheelchair.
"Thith ith Merlin, my Pashor. Go ahead, Merlin, it'th ok," Reese encouraged the dragon to say hello, petting his head tenderly.
Merlin nuzzled his head into Reese's hand, making some strange rumbling nose that was akin to a kitten's purr. He'd bring his head to settle on the hand-rest of the wheelchair, looking at Kuyoja cautiously before making a churring noise.

Kuyoja watched as Reese entered the room with his new dragonling. There was much different species coming about these days and Reese's Pashor was one of them, though it was fairly seal like in appearance and not quite as alien as Saedah's dragon but it was still young.
"It is a pleasure to meet your new dragon Reese, will he be joining us today?" He inquired as there was no harm having the little dragon swim around whilst the lesson was being taught. As long as he stayed out of the way of course.
"We will be in the pool today, so I am figuring your dragon would feel quite at home in the water."

Reese nodded, looking down at Merlin, "Yeah, he geth into trouble if I leave him alone for too long," the boy said in a teasing fashion. Merlin gave a sheepish dragon grin, his tail swaying back and forth. He really didn't mean any harm by it...but the house was just so boring when Reese wasn't home. What else was a baby dragon supposed to do but get into a wee bit of trouble?
"If you have any diving ringth, he'll keep himthelf amushed for hourth. You won't be too mucth trouble, will you Merlin?"
Merlin, who had perked at the idea of playing with diving rings, shook his head and quickly wheeped twice. No, of course not! Never!
"What'th today'th lesshon, anyway?" Reese asked with a grin at his dragon. To be honest, he hadn't known that Kuyoja was a teacher here at DCorp until he'd gotten his letter about it.

There was something rather humerous with this particular melee teacher wearing a bathing suit and looking rather uncomfertable in it. Still he had a stern look about him even when he gestured towards the pool.
"I will need you both in the pool, do you need assistance?" He inquired as he wasn't going to assume that the boy needed help.
"What I would like us to do is test your speed. I will be dropping rings into the water and I want you to try and get to them before they hit the ground. " The red headed man explained as he went to a pile of different weighted rings.

"Shankth, but I've got thish," Reese answered as he rolled over close to a ladder at the pool's edge and put the breaks on the wheels of his chair. With ease only obtained through lots and lots or practice, he slid himself out of the chair's seat and onto the ground. Once there, he used the ladder's rail to drop down into the pool.
Merlin, meanwhile, waddled over and dove in head first. He came up shooting a stream of water and trilling happily, flapping his flippers around before diving under again. He was gone from sight for a while, but reappeared close to Reese, nuzzling against the boy's side.
"Ok. Ready when you are."
