It was Elliot's lunch break, but the Ravenclaw was far from the cafeteria. Not only was it a common habit of his to simply skip meals, but today was his fasting day. It wasn't a religious or even household custom. Though his mother didn't always have enough for three full meals a day, they always had something to eat. No, Elliot had come up with the idea all on his own. Once a week, he would forgo all meals in the hopes of someday weaning himself off of food completely.
However, that seemed unlikely, and mostly just served to worry his mother.
Since he now had some free time before his next class, Elliot took some time to explore the castle. He was looking for something to read; he was sure that the Hogwarts castle would be rich with interesting books to read. He had checked out the library already and was awfully intrigued by the restricted section; however, as an unimportant first year with no business there, he wasn't allowed in.
"Why have the books if we cannot read them..." he had thought to himself.
Flustered with the library, Elliot had wandered off in search of other opportunities. A perfect one came to him in the form of a vacant room on the second floor. It seemed to be a classroom, but there weren't many desks. Mostly, it was just a couple of bookshelves and storage cabinets. But Elliot was curious and entered the empty room. He couldn't even be sure if the bookshelves would contain anything interesting; for all he knew, it was just a bunch of dusty old textbooks!
Unfortunately, while trying to remove one of the heavier books to inspect its title, he dropped it and it hit the floor with a loud "thud!", eliciting a yelp from the startled Ravenclaw.

Pandora made her way down the stairs sluggishly. It seemed that her teacher didn't care for the hot pink pants she decide to put on this morning, personally she thought it matched heart clips she wore in her hair but the teacher seemed to disagree. So, instead of eating lunch she had to got all the way up to her dorm and change into a black skirt with neon pink leggings. 'Now they have nothing to really complain about. Or at least I think so... Whatever, next step is missing class to change, so Ha!' she thought to her self as she walked.
It seems the stairs decide she was taking to long to and started moving. "No!" She exclaimed and rushed down the steps but it was to late, she was to far away to make the jump. "Fine! I'll take the other way 'round, you stupid stairs!" She said in a huff then walked off the stairs and onto the second floor platform. She glared at the empty spot where the down stairs should have been. The girl sighed then adjusted the strap of her bag before heading down the hallway.
Pandora took no more then a few steps down the hallway when she heard a 'thud' and a voice. The girl rushed over to investigate and peer around the half open door only to giggle slightly. "You okay!?" She called into the room before pulling the door open a bit more and stepping into the doorway. "What are you doing up here?"

Elliot was just recovering from the terrible trauma of dropping a poor book on the floor, and kneeling down to pick it up, when the sound of a girl's voice startled him further. His first thought was that he might be in trouble. Perhaps it was a teacher who had found him and he really was not supposed to be in here and he would have detention! Or points would be deducted from Ravenclaw and it would be entirely his fault!
"Zut dés'lé! I- I did not mean to!" he stammered out in confusion, scooping up the book before quickly jumping up and turning to her. "O-oh, ahm..."
She was only a student. Elliot was a little embarrassed by his overreaction and soon realized that he should have recognized her nonthreatening tone earlier. Honestly, he had hardly heard what she had said at all, and was now having difficulty recalling it. Whatever it had been, he thought it prudent to explain why he was here, even if that was not what she had asked or said.
"I- I was only here looking for a book..." he said, clutching the dusty old tome close to his chest.

Pandora sighed and smiled gently. The boy was a bit on the weird side but mostly because he was jumpy, a bit defensive and needed a brush. "Whoa, whoa. No teachers or prefects..." She started in a friendly tone, then paused to lean back and look both way down the halls. "Absolutely, no prefects or teachers and I don't see you doing anything wrong." She said happily. She was glad he seemed a bit more calm since he turned around she just wanted to be reassuring to him and herself. She didn't really want to bump into a prefect or teacher until class started. Pandora was not making another quick change this afternoon.
"Wouldn't the library be a better place to find a book?" Pan ask, curiosity showing clearly on her face. The young girl had so many questions she wanted to ask but she threaded lightly but let another obvious one follow the other question. "What are you doing up here? It's lunch time."
Her mother taught her it was rude to ask so many questions, especially if she didn't know the person. Pandora felt bad and a frown crossed her face. "Oh, sorry, I am asking a lot of questions. You don't need to answer those. I am Pandora Nightingale by the way..." She grin sheepishly and held out her right hand in a friendly gesture.

Elliot pursed his lips, brows raising at Pandora's curiosity. He had mostly calmed down by now, but he was still a bit flustered by his sudden encounter. He could hardly keep track of the girl's questions as she asked them and he had to pause until she was through, gathering his bearings.
"Ah, oh, I am Elliot..."
The Ravenclaw stared blankly at the girl's hand for a moment, temporarily perplexed by it. Eventually, though, he remembered his manners. He quickly brushed his right hand against his robes before joining it with Pandora's, shaking it up and down briskly. He grinned at her, seemingly proud of this accomplishment.
"I was in the library earlier, but ah..." He paused, trying to put to words his obscurely personal reasons for searching elsewhere. "I wanted to see... if there was anything better... Alors, why are you here? Were you looking for a book also?"
