The Risk Factor is a comfortably sized ship, enough space to spread ones wings in, but not so much that you'll ever feel lost. At first glance it's almost pleasant, but upon closer inspection you being to notice some frayed edges and are those blood stains?

The "captain" greets you with a roll of the eyes before he checks something on his clipboard. Likely making sure you signed the proper release form*, and then mutters, "You don't have any minipets with you right? Where we're going they'll just die.** In the most horrible and painful way imaginable." He pauses for a moment, "You'll be fine though!"***

The more cautious students might try looking for the life preserves and rescue boat. They might even find a few strategically placed cabinets marked "For Emergency Use!" Sadly these cabinets only contain expired bottles of vitamin C tablets (in case of scurvy) and a couple self-help books (in case of low self esteem.)

Below deck, sits an almost suspiciously well-maintained galley****, several locked doors, a small hold, and two berthing areas full of hammocks. One for the males the other for the females, in the good doctor's attempt to thwart the paperwork that inevitably followed the student STI's that crop up after a fieldtrip. At least there aren't any proper pumpkin patches at sea.

* The proper documentation was actually signed during the enrollment process, and include a no-refund policy, a rather iffy health insurance program, and you are now an organ donor. Thank you for your contribution to furthering the cause of science!

** The lack of FEAR, JOY, or any other emotion-based life sustaining power causes a minipet's FEAR to begin feeding on itself. Proper training on sustaining a minipet's FEAR in addition to your own is necessary to carry a minipet for extended periods of time in certain worlds.

*** If you have or are planning to have a fertilized pumpkin, you should not board ship. Those with chronic heart conditions are recommended to leave them at home. Younger students that require air to breathe are recommended to consult their medical advisor before boarding. If you do not know how to swim, it is advised that you stay below at all times. In case of drowning, please seek medical attention immediately. Consumables kept on board may cause drowsiness, upset stomachs, diarrhea, inflammation of the knee, death, loss of voice, restless leg syndrome, sleeplessness, armlessness, lack of reason, and hallucinations. Should you feel your FEAR feeding on itself, stay hydrated and contact your nearest Word Travel Advisory Station. Creatures sensitive to forces such as "sunlight" are advised to bring a parasol and/or large floppy hat. In matters of health worries, if no other medical professional is at hand, please use the classical healing method of "walking it off."

Day 0

Finished stocking ship. This brings back memories of a better time, full of parties and maniacal laughter. Now the only thing I have to look forward to is trying out a few new things and bettering these students lives and relationships. Sigh. At least they gave me a decent minion for this.

Our "precious" cargo will include:
① Hadiyya
② Christof
③ Unstabul
④ Tybalt
⑤ Johan
⑥ Valentino
⑦ Obsidian
⑧ Sammy
⑨ Icky
⑩ Tess

Day 1

Students prove able and willing to undergo chemical experimentation, I thank them for their selfless behavior.

Notes:
- Cruel-aid tastes awful. Next time add more sugar cubes and less eyeball.
- Also pay more attention and never drink it again.
- Dagger seems inspired by my work and seems to have set up shop on the deck with a cauldron and some of the more expired goods from the galley. I wish him well.
- Christof seems a bit clingy, I wonder if he has creator-issues. So many patchworks come through this school in such terrible condition. I will leave a book in his hammock so that he may counsel himself into a more independent emotional state. I Fall to Pieces: Building Yourself Up Again by Dr. Phil N. Stein, should do just the trick!
- Purple naiad sighting: I wonder if she'll come aboard with me...
- Let's follow and see if that line actually works this time!

( biggrin Two days saved due to shortcut! sad One day lost due to drugs abuse.

Day 1 Stats

Days: (1 day default) - (2 from shortcut) + (1 day from purple haze of fail) = 0
Food: 150 - 25 = 125
Event escapes left: 2

Student HP:

① Hadiyya - 28hp
② Christof - 28 hp
③ Unstabul - 28 hp
④ Tybalt - 28 hp
⑤ Johan - 28 hp
⑥ Valentino - 28 hp
⑦ Obsidian - 28 hp
⑧ Sammy - 28 hp
⑨ Icky - 28 hp
⑩ Tess - 28 hp

Day 2

The naiad left me. I am alone in this purple world of hallucinations, hormonal students, and crushing disappointments.

Notes:
- Dagger's experiment seems to be gaining in strange. I just hope it doesn't turn purple.
- The sun was devastating today, so I was kind enough to set up a kiddie pool of refreshing beverages for the students.
- Sadly, some didn't use them to stay hydrated and lost a whole 4hp! I hope that next time they don't look down on my charity and concern for their well-being .
- In better news, those that took the beverages (enhanced by yours truly) only lost 4hp instead of dying from dehydration. They're most welcome!
- Had a bad reaction to the cruel aid after the naiad left.
- Took an extra day to find the right mixture (Dagger's messing about didn't help in this!)
- Felt lonely and decided to raid the pantry and eat my pain. While I know that the eyescream cake in the freezer isn't love, it was still delicious and gave me a spiteful moment of happiness just thinking about the fact that the others would never get to eat it now.

sad One day and 25 food have been lost!

Day 2 Stats

Days: (1 day default) + (1 from no one steering the ship) = 2
Food: 125 - 25 - 25 = 75
Event escapes left: 2

Student HP:
(-4)

① Hadiyya - 24hp
② Christof - 24 hp
③ Unstabul - 24 hp
④ Tybalt - 24 hp
⑤ Johan - 24 hp
⑥ Valentino - 24 hp
⑦ Obsidian - 24 hp
⑧ Sammy - 24 hp
⑨ Icky - 24 hp
⑩ Tess - 24 hp

Day 3

As I work in a darkness not unlike that of my heart, I hear them playing and chattering above me. They seem to be rather happy and lively now that I'm gone.

Notes:
- I'll show them.
- I'll show them all.

Day 3 Stats

Days: 2+ (1 day default) 3
Food: 75 - 25 = 50
Event escapes left: 2

Student HP:
(MAXED)

① Hadiyya - 28hp
② Christof - 28 hp
③ Unstabul - 28 hp
④ Tybalt - 28 hp
⑤ Johan - 28 hp
⑥ Valentino - 28 hp
⑦ Obsidian - 28 hp
⑧ Sammy - 28 hp
⑨ Icky - 28 hp
⑩ Tess - 28 hp

Day 4

It seems the patchwork took the steering into his own hands, and he even found a shortcut! Too bad the students weren't paying enough attention to the course, we could have saved 2 days, but now we only saved one. And then the smelly boy got ejected into the see, which will hopefully prove to be a rather hygienic event for the boil. We're out of food, so I set the children to fishing.

Notes:
- not sure if the boggart knows how to swim
- if not, this would be a good time to learn

Day 4 Stats

Days: 3 + (1 day default) - (1 day short cut) + (2 day delay) = 5
Food: 50 - (25 default) - (25 delay) = 0 If no food is caught, hp will be lost!
Event escapes left: 2

Student HP:

① Hadiyya - 28hp
② Christof - 28 hp
③ Unstabul - 28 hp
④ Tybalt - 28 hp
⑤ Johan - 28 hp
⑥ Valentino - 28 hp
⑦ Obsidian - 28 hp
⑧ Sammy - 28 hp
⑨ Icky - 28 hp
⑩ Tess - 28 hp

Day 5

Results of fishing are questionable at best. Several students chose to save their peer instead. This moment of crew synergy was obviously both inspired and aided by the counseling and treatment found on board The Risk Factor. I like to think of this trip as sailing toward the horizon of better mental health.

Notes:
- little Dr. Wannabe is a damn lucky punk
- but not for long...

Day 5 Stats

Days: 5 + (1 day default) + (2 days fishing) = 7
Food: 0 + 49 (fishing) - (25 default) = 24
Event escapes left: 1

Student HP:

① Hadiyya - 28hp
② Christof - 28 hp
③ Unstabul - 28 hp
④ Tybalt - 28 hp
⑤ Johan - 28 hp
⑥ Valentino - 24 hp <--- THE WORLD IS EMPTY. LIKE YOUR HEART.
⑦ Obsidian - 28 hp
⑧ Sammy - 28 hp
⑨ Icky - 28 hp
⑩ Tess - 28 hp

Day 6

More fishing, but I think we have enough. The vampire girl has proven extra useful, I like to think the cruel-aid helped her technique in this. If not...I did bring a portable minipet closet. The ship itself seems to be rebelling, but I doubt it has the energy to keep it up.

^_______V
O;______O;_~>O__
( )===D _L---^ (___/

...anyways, I think I improved the recipe for lime Hell-O!

Notes:
- will have calamari tomorrow!
- stairs became a slide, can't get them back to normal
- lets think of this as training
- get toilet repaired, damn thing wont stop running

Day 6 Stats

Days: 7 + (1 day default) + (2 days fishing) = 9
Food: 24 + 40 (fishing) - (25 default) = 39
Event escapes left: 0

② Christof - 28 hp
③ Unstabul - 28 hp
④ Tybalt - 28 hp
⑤ Johan - 28 hp
⑥ Valentino - 24 hp <--- THE WORLD IS EMPTY. LIKE YOUR HEART.
⑦ Obsidian - 28 hp
⑧ Sammy - 28 hp
⑨ Icky - 28 hp
⑩ Tess - 28 hp

Day 7

Lime Hell-O was a success! Also it appears that lightning has animated the ghetto homebrew minipets the students made at the beginning. A battle is taking place on the deck at this very moment. I've decided to cheer the students on by carefully observing the fight and thinking positive thoughts!

Notes:
- It seems all my own potions and ingredients have either been pilfered, used, or destroyed.
- Student drink making talents are greater than previously suspected.
- That Dagger must have a keen eye for this sort of thing.
- The "minipets" have changed the ship's course, perhaps they too saw a naiad?
- Oh, water demon girl, look out behind you!

Day 7 Stats

Days: 9 + (1 day default) - (1 day due to lack of a Hyde-induced drugged stupor) - (1 day due to naiad shortcut) = 8

Daily Event!

Quote:
DAY ?? - The Final Countdown

It was a dark and stormy night.

After the little potionmaking fiasco a few days ago (had it really been DAYS?) the students had seen no sign of their trick or treater. It could be assumed he was probably dead of some kind of poisoning by way of the nasty brews the students had come up with. Everything that was left of what they made had been poured into bottles and stored in a crate up on deck to bake in the sun instead of fumigate the cabin. Nobody really wanted to find out what was inside them now. Well, except Hyde probably.

The clouds hadn't quite rolled in over the ship but they were fast approaching. Arcs of lightning were cutting across the sky now, more and more frequently. One even zapped the crow's nest, setting off a plume of smoke from where it scorched the wood.

Then they all heard it. Rustling. Scraping. Laughing. Someone or something was up there.

*

Remember those minipets you students made out of spare parts? The Mytrax, Teru Bozu, Lightning Scareon, and Invisible Dog?

Yeeeeeeah. About them.

Well, Dagger someone stashed the minipets and a plate of uneaten Hell-O up in the crow's nest, the whole place got struck by lightning, and the result is four very big, very vicious monster 'minipets' who want to make the Risk Factor their new pirate ship. It's too bad nobody could bring weapons or this would be a lot --

Wait, didn't you make some? It's not like you were really planning on DRINKING those potions, right?. Maybe you can get rid of these stupid art projects once and for all! You are feeling pretty aggressive on account of the Hell-O.

Dagger will be cheering you on. From a safe and undisclosed location on the other side of the ship. Go team!

(( THIS IS A MINI-FIGHT. It is expected to go for as long as the boat thread stays open (or longer, if you all want XD). I'm going to try to post a boss attack as often as I can, every few hours. Two potion uses (one of each you have) are allowed every round between boss actions, though non-potion actions and posts are absolutely allowed all the time, any time, as many as you want! Just bear in mind that only potions can cause actual HP damage to these bosses.

- BOLD the potion you use in each attack post!
- BOLD the intended target of your potion in each attack post! This means you have to pick a specific boss or ally to lob your potions at.
- Keep your HP tallied at the bottom of every post!
- You CANNOT grab 2 offensive or 2 defensive potions - you must have one of each.
- You CANNOT grab 2 of the same potion.
- Defensive moves count toward the next boss attack. They do not defend from damage already done, just future damage the next round.
- Paralysis is just an inability to attack for the rest of a round - poison or distraction can be the cause. If you get it from your first move, you cannot roll another attack for that round, though your character can still do other things that don't involve using potions yourself. You can prevent or cure it using a specific potion!
- Each student starts off with 25 HP! This is separate from the boat HP.
- The bosses share an HP pool of 100 HP! Every 25 HP lost will take out one of the bosses.
- Don't worry too much about who's doing the most damage or if these battle rules are a little wonky or even if you're actually going to manage to get the bosses down in time - have fun and the prizes will be there. THE IMPORTANT THING IS THAT YOU'RE RPing! SO JUST PARTICIPATE.

OKAY LET'S GET TO THE FUN PART -- WEAPONS.

OFFENSIVE POTIONS:

Brain Hemorrhage – A green poison that can paralyze an opponent for one round. (Roll one d6)
1 - Oh crap, you breathe in the poison and paralyze yourself!
2-3 : Nothing happens D:
4-5 : Opponent is paralyzed for one round!
6 : YOU PARALYZE YOURSELF AND THE OPPONENT BECAUSE YOU ARE THAT AWESOME.

Liquidator’s Joy – A maroon acid that does a little damage to your opponent. (Roll two d4)
If the first die is odd, then second die is the damage done. If the first die is even, the attack misses.

Bloaty Harry – A bright orange combustible liquid that explodes, which can hurt you as easily as it hurts your opponent. (Roll two d6)
The first roll is the opponent's damage, the second is damage you do to yourself and CANNOT be absorbed or negated.

Purple Cruel-Aid – It's thin and watery and it smells gross, but you never know what it might do! (roll one d10!)
1 - The potion makes you sneeze so hard, a herpicorn appears and stabs you in the butt (roll one d4 for damage next post)
2-3 - You paralyze your opponent for one round!
4-5 - The potion smells so pretty, you find yourself distracted! (you're paralyzed 1 round)
6-7 - The liquid falls to the ground and causes a slippery patch, making your opponent fall. (roll one d4 for opponent damage next post!)
8-9 - The potion explodes into fireworks, dazzling your opponent (roll one d6 for opponent damage next post!)
10 - The liquid splashes... roll one d4 to avoid (1 - you fall in, lose 1 turn of attack... 2-4 ; safe)

DEFENSIVE POTIONS:

Ethereal Mist – A fizzy liquid that can cushion you from oncoming attacks. (Roll one d6)
Whatever you roll is how much damage is negated from the next attack.
Blind Man’s Bluff – A golden flashbomb that blinds opponents, giving you a chance to dodge. (Roll one d4)
1 - You dodge! ... into their attack, taking DOUBLE damage next round!
2-3 - You ACTUALLY dodge! No damage!
4 - The flashbomb distracts you and you fail to dodge.

Finally Freedom – A greyish goop that prevents and cures paralysis. (roll one d100)
This potion always works - used the round before to prevent first paralysis next round, or use to cure another person the same round and lose the prevention next round. And ignore the roll #, we just need you to roll a die.
A Job Well Done – This deep black ink will sometimes allow you to absorb an ally's damage, if you splash it on them. (Roll two d4)
1st roll : If EVEN, you hit them with the ink, if ODD, you miss/move fails.
2nd roll : Amount of damage absorbed.

GOOD LUCK. First boss attacks will be coming soon!

Also the prizes for the potion game are coming soon! BEAR WITH ME ;; ))

the ooc

At least once a day, an individual or the entire ship will receive an exciting event! Full of adventure and surprise! These should be treated as RP prompts! They may be a bit disruptive to any super deep RP interactions on ship, but you are very welcome to move and continue that RP in a regular RP thread (completing it and meeting the word reqs will gain you a growth point for regular RP!) You are also welcome to make small journal-like posts for your character if you're worried about meeting the event's min post requirements!

If you find yourself short on time, and having trouble interacting with the rest of the ship, feel free to contact either myself or The Professional Prophet with any such problems!

It was less because of nerves and anxiety that had Tess waking up early on the day of the trip, and more because she knew if she wanted to get to the boat without any stowaways (Trixie all but embossed itself onto Tess' torso when it learned it couldn't go with her) she had to leave her room before the purple tentacle got over its initial sluggishness. Adjusting the travel bag slung over her shoulder, Tess steeled herself before flying onto the ship.

It looked better than she had anticipated it would be and for a brief moment (a very, very brief moment) the manananggal felt excited for the trip. Up until she got a better look at the ship and heard the captain's greeting. Thank Jack she left Trixie behind! As much of a headache as the headstrong minipet was, Tess couldn't bear the thought of it dying. Swallowing thickly, Tess headed below deck to find her room. Only to find they weren't going to be given any form of privacy (D8!) as evidence of the berthing area full of hammocks assigned for the ghouls.

She chose one of the hammocks and carefully placed her things on it, studying the beams and hooks supporting the sleeping apparatus before gingerly testing their strength. Looks like she was going to be sleeping on her stomach for the duration of the trip. (It's not like she'd be comfortable sleeping upside down in front of the other ghouls anyway.)

After fixing her hammock, Tess decided to fly back on deck to wait for the other students. It was better than waiting all alone.

Considering this trip was going to be taking place on boats surrounded by water one would think the marid would be more excited. Until, that is, one then went on to account for the nightmarish experiences that befell the students on their last school field trip. Those cringe inducing memories were not painting a very confident picture of the journey to come, and Hadiyya could only hope that botched excursion was the exception, and most Amityville trips were far less traumatic. Hope being the operative word. She wasn't holding her breath, not with that niggling sense of foreboding resting like a lead weight in her stomach.

With carry on in hand the tan skinned ghoul made her way towards her assigned boat. Within the small case there was a blanket, a couple energy drinks, a bottle of henna(in case they got bored), two pair of shoes, and a few varying lengths of clothing. That last bit had been of utmost importance to the djinn after she'd damn near frozen to death in Christmas Town. In fact, she'd actually exchanged her usual sultry attire for something far less vulnerable to the elements. A white cotton button down shirt, sleeves rolled up to her elbows, was left open over a thin blue tank top and short black shorts(there were pants in her carry on).

It was perfectly obvious the dress shirt didn't belong to her, and anyone with half a brain and some knowledge of the demon lass could figure just who the original owner had been. Hints of his cologne still clung to the collar, and that right there could have been the leading factor in her desire to have it. She'd said her goodbyes to her nergal boil, promised to text him insane amounts, and they'd parted as they neared the boats. Yaya didn't like it, but there wasn't a whole lot she could do about it.

Now that she was on the ship her since of dread was slightly lessened, it seemed a sturdy enough vessel, but it was certainly not gone. She listened as their captain gave his little speech, then quietly wandered off towards the area they'd be sleeping in. Frankly the demon wasn't surprised to find a mass of hammocks, it was a boat after all, and there just wasn't that much room, but that didn't mean Yaya didn't pine for a full sized bed and mountain of pillows. She would, however, have little to no trouble sleeping. Hammocks were definitely preferred over nothing.

She deposited her belongs on one of the hammocks(it didn't matter which, considering she wasn't at all close with any of the ghouls on board), and returned to deck to await the rest of their shipmates. There already seemed to be one there, an undead by the name of Tess that Hadiyya had shared classes with, but didn't really know yet.

Christof had spent a good part of that night making sure Barth was properly packed, and his dormitory had been properly tended to so nothing could go awry or try to eat each other while they were gone. Calder's taking over laundry had really helped ease up the hunchback's schedule. He had somehow found a few minutes to sew himself a new hat... Boats meant lots of sunshine, and sunshine was murder one seams. It was a nice sun hat, in his opinion, hodgepodged together with every scrap of fabric he could find last minute, hastily hand stitched into a fishing cap. Perfect. The only clothes he owned were the ones on his back, an extra set of work clothes, and the outfit Calder had bought him for the dance. None of these seemed good for a field trip, so he had filled his shoulder bag with extra socks, underpants, a few extra parts just in case, lots of thread and a few needles, just in case, and a small collapsible emergency shovel, also just in case. He had been thrilled when he found all of it's pieces in various parts of Barth's room during his last minute tidy.

Also in his pocket was that odd card he had gotten on the train on the way to that horrific Christmas Town. With a sigh, he sat on the deck, his small pack on his lap as he stared it over. Seafear Island. Was that where they were going? It was going to be a long trip, he figured, without Mistress Riley or Master Malodore nor even Barth and Calder for company. He quietly slipped the card back into his coat pocket, before double checking that his notebook and pens were still in his bag amongst the spare parts and undergarments. He was pretty good at packing light.

He eyed the water over the deck rail warily. Hopefully, he would not be going in. He'd probably just sink.

Digging a pair of sunglasses from her back pocket, the djinn slipped them over her nose before sweeping artful lengths of dark hair behind an ear. Sunny or not, the shades would help with any glare bouncing off the water, and she wasn't about to put up with any strain to her eyes. Not when she could properly prepare for things. That, at least, was a step up from their last little adventure. One she was very thankful for.

Leaning casually against the railing on one side of the boat, she all but missed the arrival of the igor until he actually moved into her peripheral to give the water a wary glance. She followed his line of vision down, then smiled and straightened to move a bit closer. "Don't worry," she soothed, clasping hands behind her back. "If you fell over I'd come get you." It didn't matter that he was heavier. When you could control the water around you, it made moving larger objects a lot easier.

Of course that was assuming that worried look had been interpreted right. She could have been wrong. Looking the patchwork over, the djinn chewed thoughtfully on the inside of her lower lip. "I like the hat, did you make it?" It looked like his handy work at least. Scraps of fabric sewn together with heavy stitching. Obviously it wasn't high fashion, but it was impressive all the same that he'd managed to turn so much spare clothe into a hat.

Unlike the other students, who were likely up all night packing for the trip, Tybalt had spent his night dragging his dogs to the closet so that he wouldn't have to worry about their care while he was away, or them getting into mischief. Which he was sure, the latter was likely to happen. Thankfully it only took a few hours to accomplish the task, and he had enough time to throw a few things together, before getting a bit of sleep. Not as much as he'd normally like, but enough and at least he was prepared--a little.

Today he wore a hoodie, with sleeves ending just past the elbows and jeans that happened to ripped on the one knee, much like his other pairs of jeans. Around his waist were a few belts and a chain off to the one side that held both his skull pin and his pumpkin charm. Two things he couldn't, or wouldn't leave behind. His boots, however, were very similar to his others ones. Only, a different colour and laced, rather than belted. But of course, like the others, still untied. It wasn't like someone could trip him by stepping on the laces anyways. Like usual, he also, kept a pair of gloves and carried his backpack, which contained nothing really other than a phone, a jacket, a hat ( three things he wasn't likely to use ), and a card that he got on the train on their way to their raid in Christmas town. Why did he bring the card? Because he had forgotten to take it out since he had first put it in.

Finally arriving at the docks, he could see all the different boats. All of different shapes and sizes. Some small and... weird... others massive. The one he was assigned to was more in between. Though weird was definitely the right word for it. It looked almost... happy? Was that a good sign, or a bad one? He wasn't sure, but at least it didn't look too crowded. Not that he could say the same about the sleeping quarters. As soon as he caught sight of the boils sleeping area, he was a little more than disappointed. This... was going to suck. He wasn't sure if he was going to enjoy hearing other boils snore for the next few days. Not with his sensitive ears.

With a sigh, the black dog tossed his bag onto the first hammock that came within reach and that didn't look as though it had already been claimed, before making his way back up onto the deck where he could explore a little more. He was sure he had even seen a couple of students hanging around, before he went below deck. Though this recollection was only confirmed when he heard a couple voices and soon, three figures standing not too far away.

"Eh? You guys are early." He said, climbing the last few steps; ears perking a little at the sight of the Djinn. To be honest, he was kind of surprised that she was one of the first to arrive. He would have thought that demons would be some of the last. Then again, Yaya seemed like the kind of character who was always organized and on time. As for the other two... He looked over Tess, who seemed to be missing the lower half of her body, and then the Christof. Both he had seen around... He was sure he even had a class with the bat winged ghoul. Gym maybe? But neither he knew by name. Or at least, he didn't remember them anyways.

(( FIRST DAILY GAME IS UP ))

Quote:
DAY 0 - FRANKENMINI

Sigh.

Sigh.

SIGH.

Even the fanciful pirate costume Dagger had found and worn just for the occasion wasn't doing anything to cheer him up. He blew the oversized red hat-feather out of his face while he watched Hyde's students board the ship. He was a Trick or Treater, not a babysitter! It was his job to trick Halloweentown out of its valuable minipets! And here they didn't allow a single one on the boats. It was a bunch of blah blah blah FEAR implosion, or something like that. BORIIIING. He hadn't really listened too carefully on account of how boring all those rules were. How was he going to keep his minipet-stealing skills sharp? How was he going to keep these snots on their toes?

Wait a second....

Ohhhhh, this wouldn't be half bad at all!

*

It looked like the first activity on the Risk Factor would be some nice, completely inconspicuous arts and crafts. The Trick or Treater stood next to a table on the deck, strewn with supplies that were very clearly found from a ten minute run around the boat: rope, half-empty bottles of vitamin C, bandanas, eyepatches, mops and buckets, papers, kitchen tools, and sandbags were merely some of the 'art supplies' that the Acetrainer was graciously providing.

It was all there for use by the students. And as the Trick or Treater was happy to announce, anyone who made a replica of a minipet of their choice had a chance to be rewarded. What could possibly go wrong?

(( Using any materials your character can find on the boat, including anything they brought with themselves, your student must make a replica of a minipet. It can be any minipet! Including a visual or drawing is encouraged but not required - this is a RP game, not an art contest XD

Participation is not required for daily games! Don't feel pressured.

This game is over at 1pm PST on Wednesday March 9th. ))

Tess remembered cringing over how her mother insisted she bring some unscented Sun-Shield 5000 to the Academy. Now she was glad she'd been a proper ghoul and listened to her mother and dutifully brought said item. Of course, it was still in her bag below deck, but she was sure as the day went on, she'd be taking it out to slather a good layer onto her exposed skin. Short sleeves and a v-neck sundress covered just enough to be modest but she still had her bare arms and neck and face to protect.

Yaya and Christof had paired off, in a manner of speaking, and Tess was struggling to come up with a good opening line to join in when Tybalt arrived. The ghost co-captain of the Track Team remarked on their promptness, "I-I'm kinda surprised I got here first myself," she admitted to the three as she gave the deck another glance, then spotting the Trick or Treater and his display of materials. "What do you think that's about?" she asked, gesturing towards Dagger.

"Well I'm just glad I didn't sleep in again." That would have been bad. Unlike track practice or classes, this was a ship. If he woke up late, it wouldn't be like he could just catch the next boat or something.

Leaning against the mast, Tybalt followed Tess' line of sight; spotting the Trick or Treat recruiter as he approached the small group. Though like the two students, he didn't have a name to put to that face.

"That's a nice pile of junk you got there." He commented with a crooked grin; arms crosses over his chest as he continued to eye all the different items. Just what was the recruiter going to with all that crap?

At Yaya's sudden addressing of his water-issue, the hunchback flushed, glancing away to try to hide it while slumping further down behind the rail, clutching his bag to his side. He hadn't yet picked out a hammock, there was plenty of time for that and not everyone was on board yet. He was just glad he was on time, although he was exhausted after spending all night and all morning making sure Barth arrived on time to his own boat. He hadn't been sleeping well for days, anyway. Not since... well.

The compliment to his hat made him glance back, brows raised as he reached up to touch the floppy brim, a fresh blush hitting his patched face although this time it was simply bashfulness. He nodded, gingerly pointing to it and then to her- if she wanted one he was sure he could figure out how to put something together...

They were suddenly interrupted by a horned and hoofed older creature Christof was not familiar with, who seemed to be one of their chaperons. What was all the junk for? His interest was immediately piqued- random hodgepodge parts were his favorite, after all.

A scowling reaper boil moved down the pier, eying The Risk Factor with open dislike. Anything that looked like it could have come out of Christmas Land could not be trusted. Johan hadn't been enthused about the prospect of a traveling on a ship to begin with. Crystal was not known for its buoyancy. If he fell overboard, there was a real risk of him drowning. But this... suspiciously cheerful pile of planks was almost too much. About the only thing that kept his feet moving towards the ship was the knowledge that his only other option was Hellma. And Hellma was never an option.

And here was Christof. As much as Johan had mixed feelings about the patchwork boil, Christof was the only fellow student he actually knew. He figured he at least owed the Igor a greeting.

"Christof. I hope you haf been vell?" he asked as he paused beside him. Following the boil's gaze, however, Johan noticed that Christof seemed to regard the water with the same trepidation as Johan. "If you like, I vill see if I can enchant your clothing to float. However, I cannot guarantee the magic vill stay for the whole trip. Vith this school, who know vhere ve are going."

It seemed the least he could do, considering. He'd already cast as many preventative charms on his own clothing as he could fit. Runes for water-proofing, for floating, for temperature regulation, etc. After Christmas Land, Johan was taking every precaution that he could. He'd even attempted to make a FEAR battery, an amulet from which he could draw on stored FEAR power. While he wasn't certain it would work, he'd still brought it with him. Along with a first-aid kit, a pair of shoes, rations of food, and a sturdy book that could be easily replaced should Johan have to use it as a weapon.
