Aim log between nessia and gallow

The sun hung low in the sky as the sounds of birds ending their songs and insects starts to play their soft humming music. Despite the nearing end of the day Delila didn't feel the urge to sleep or even want to sleep, she was still enthralled with being awake and wanting to see the sun set into the sky knowing that in a few hours she would be up again to see it rise. Fin had mentioned that tonight the sky would bear a full moon and the fire flies would linger even longer their soft lights aglow.
Looking around she remembered that Fin had left earlier to go on hunt and wouldn't be back until later leaving her to be the only one to enjoy the night. Shrugging her shoulders she started to make her way through the pride heading towards the outskirts.

Batu moved his way through the pride lands, he was trying to walk carefully as he carried a small bundle of flowers in his mouth. He was looking for Delila he had spent a great deal of time in the field trying to pick only the best flowers for her, he wasnted to make the best impression ever when he found her.

The male was nervous he could feel his heart moving in his cheast he wasn't sure how this particular interaction was going to go but he knew now that he had to Delila about his feels for her. He hadn't stopped thinking about her since they had first met .

Reaching the outer edge of the land Delila noticed a rather familiar figure, Batu! She felt her heart in a way leap in excitement, but at the same time she could feel it ache when she saw he was carrying a bunch of sweet smelling flowers. He had mentioned he didn't really know anyone else in the pride but maybe he did have a mate elsewhere? True the flowers could be for anyone, the kids that he was responsible for, maybe he had a lioness he had an interest in that he knew who was coming to see him, or maybe he felt the need to thank someone and give them as a gift.
Pausing she gave him a smile with a warm greeting, "hello Batu!" She shoved her concerns to the back of her mind.

Batu didn't see her tillshe called out to him, his head was too busy swimming in his own thoughts. He looked up and immediatly his eyes brightened. It hadn't been hard to find her after all she had come right to him. He layed the flowers down gently so that none of them would get harmed. "Delila" he said sweetly. "I am so happy to see you." he told her.

The black and white male looked down at the flowers he had just placed and then back at the lioness. "These are for you" he said his voice bright. He hoped dearly that she would like them. He worried slightly that perhaps his feelings would not be returned or worse that she would already be spoken for. Perhaps she would turn Batu down after all it wasn't a secret how her mother felt about his father.

She felt the small leap in her heart again when he mentioned that he was happy to see her, no one ever said that not even her own mother or Fin not that she really felt that they needed to her. It was a surprise and in a way rather pleasing to her, she was rather very happy to see him as well considering she didn't think she would see him again so soon. "It's a complete pleasure to see you again as well Batu," she replied her voice rather cheerful with a wide smile on her face.
When he mentioned the flowers were for her she was in complete shock, a numbness from the overwhelming happiness of the gift filled her body and for a moment she wasn't even sure what to do. She looked at him and back at the flowers, "they... they are so beautiful Batu! Are they really all for me? I don't know what to say... I mean... Thank you!"

Batu was very pleased with her reaction. He had actually been very worried that she wouldn't like them. Not that Fin would have led him astraty or lied to him about Delila's liking flowers more he was concerened that he wouldn't pick the right ones he really had no knowledge abotu what flowers where nice compared to others. "You are welcome. I am very happy you like them" he told her a smile on his face.

Batu was a little uneasy now, he was releived that she liked the flowers but he wasn't sure how to tell her about his feelings, its not like he had any expereince talking about his emotions. Eztil wasn't one to talk about his feelings and Batu didn't know his mom. "I am very happy that I found you or should I say you found me." he said a little chuckle in his voice. "I was hoping that I would see you today for there is something that I wanted to tell you." he pawed at the ground uneasily unsure of what to say next.

"I love them!" Delila replied before picking one up and trying to figure out how to tuck it behind her own ear, she never had the same talents like Fin did. Somehow she had always managed to put the flower behind her own ear but no matter how many times Fin showed her how to she couldn't do it on her own. Looking down at the flower and back at Batu she had idea, swiftly before he could contest or stop from pawing at the ground she tucked the flower in his mane near the edge of bangs.
"There," she replied with a pleasant smile before giving a bit of a frown realizing she had interrupt him from what he was trying to say to her. "I'm sorry I shouldn't have interrupted you what is it that you want to tell me?"

Batu appreciated the tension break thaat Delila provided by tucking the flower in his mane. He in turn picked up a flower and tucked it in behind her. "Well I wanted to tell you, that I hadn't stopped thinking about you since we last met." It wasn't everything that he had wanted to tell her but it was as much as he could get out in one go. He looked at her trying to gague her reaction.

"I'm not really sure how to say it all. I have never felt this way before. But there is something about Delila...." he could feel his heart pounding harder now. He was hoping that she would take this news well and even more so that she would return his feelings.

A blush escaped across her cheeks as he tucked the flower behind her ear, despite her half black coat it was still visible under the part of her cheeks that bore her mother's white fur. Even more so she could feel it got even worse when he said that he hadn't stopped thinking about her. Truthfully she was no better, she had wanted to see him again as well though she pushed the emotions aside being worried that he would see her as too needy if all she did was follow him around the pride.
Her cheeks were red almost as red as the sun that was setting in the sky, a smile as wide as she could control was her on lips as she tried to tune out the sound of her own beating heart that was echoing in her chest. "I...I haven't stopped thinking about you either, I mean I did try... I mean... I didn't want to bother you if you were busy so I just hoped I would run into you again and..." she was horrible with words at this moment she looked down back at the flowers feeling stupid for her own tongue unable to say what she needed.

Batu couldn't help but smile, his heart was still beating fast but it was a good fast beat now. He had realized that she too felt the same way she did. Everything was going perfectly. Moving towards her he nuzzled the top of her head gently "You never have to worry about bothering me, your company is always welcome." he told her his voice soft. "In fact if it is not to forward of me to say so I would actually like it if we were in each others company perminently." He wasn't sure if he had worded it properly but this was his way of asking her to be his mate. Batu like Delila wasn't very good with words either. He looked into her eyes hopig that she understood what he had just asked her.

She hoped he couldn't feel her embarrassment as he nuzzled the top of her head or hear her heart still beating far too quickly than she was use to. A soft smile still remained on her lips as she could feel his warmth leave the top of her head and his eyes on her. Her ears started to repeat what he had just asked her over and over again as if still unsure they heard everything exactly as he said it. It was almost like a one of her own stories, the ones were she and Fin would play when she was a cub however this time she wasn't just the heroine who defeated the bad guy, but the princess.
"I... I would like that Batu," she replied looking up at him she couldn't help but allow an overjoyed emotion spread across her face before she nuzzled him underneath his chin.

Batu's smiled ear to ear. The whole interaction had gone much easier then he had thought it would. Though to those who were looking in from the outside he was sure it had been entirely confusing, that wasn't important though. The two of them knew evactly what the othe rmet. Moving away from Delila just slightly Batu looked up at the sky. "Watch the sun set with me Delila?" he asked her. He took a laying position and turned his head towards the sky, it was a beautiful night and the start of his life. Batu couldn't be happier

"I would love to," Delila replied with a light giggle and a smile on her face, today was something she had never expected. There was still the fact she had to tell Fin about it however from the look of all of the flowers he had brought her she had somewhere deep in her mind the feeling that Fin already knew what was going on. She wouldn't put it past Fin to be the one to tell him about her love of flowers but more so she hoped she didn't say anything embarrassing about her. The giddiness of everything that had just occurred pushed her worry to the side she could worry about that all later after her first sunset with Batu.
