Their failed war attempt

The Surpreme Court Judgement

I know personally, that this is disgusting, this church is a HATE church, all they want to do is get attention, and spread their hate, crashing funerals? Never mind their signs, their thought process.....
What do you think?

If they are under any sort of church council then that council should have shut them down a loooong time ago. But for some reason they are still allowed to gather and spread their slanderous lies... If I ever see one of them, personally, I will have a knuckle sandwich waiting for them.

On a bright note Matthew Snyder's dad won the case! Yes!!! *Fist pump* I was so happy about that. You can go to matthewsnyder.org if you have not heard about this case. But they won! They won! Yippee! This was also a local case for me. He went to the same school my sister and oldest brother did. And I'm pretty sure my sister knew him.

I really do not understand how the 1st Ammendment applies to these people. They are lying and showing treason against their own country! God hates the U.S? I'm sorry, they should stand in front of a firing squad for that. Making gay remarks about the U.S.'s military? They should have been dead a looong time ago for that one. How can people insult their country like that and still have any freedom to speak of?

Edit: Yes! Finally, someone of some stature making WBB look like the fools they are in public interviews! I think I may actually like Annon now. How frickin' sweet is that?! While she's ranting and raving, all caught on tape, he's just calmy going about his business to destroy their site. That's what is needed against these people. A swift kick in the face.

*nods* To me, the crashing for the funerals is UNFORGIVABLE! my ex husband is a Soldier, he deploys again soon, he and i are on good terms... So this really sets me off. *grumbles* there is no way what they do is even a PROTEST, it's abuse! pure ABUSE!

Yup. I have many friends that are Marines and I know all of them would get in to a fist fight with them all. I gurantee the cops would find a way to justify the Marines. They always do XD But especially since I am married to a Marine and I see all the sacrifice firsthand *shakes head* I want them dead for their lies. I strongly believe in the death sentence when the criminal is absolutely guilty. If there is not even a smidgeon of evidence that they may be innocent, then they're dead. And WBB has no evidence of innocence.

That... was funny.
They're simultaneously disgusting and so ludicrous with their antics that they're impossible to take seriously. There is quite a lot of abuse as far as freedom of religion goes (any talk of the US as a "christian nation" and preaching against secularism I'd include there), but this church is kind of a laughing stock and probably will never be anything else.

They're a cult of hate. They lie, slander, and libel at everyone and everything. I'm fairly certain that that's not OK by 1st Amendment standards. These bastards shouldn't be protected by the 1st Amendment, considering that. Why the Supreme Court ruled in favor of them I'll never know.

Exactly! How do they consider these "protest" okay? They are treasonous against the U.S. AND are insulting everyone who lives in it. Everything they say are lies... Since when did lies become protected under the U.S. Constitution?

Sorry, I'm kind of stalking this thread redface , but this is a very emotional topic for me. I am glad that I am not the only person who thinks this way of their "group".

Point of observation, our gov't lies to us every day. However, These people have NO justification for what they do. There is no reason for this, i wonder, do these people sleep well at home? I would hate to be raised by such a family.....

I like how everyone else seems to have convered how disgusting and un-American the decision is. I think it goes to show that certain members of our government don't care about the people. There were ways to rule against that church, based on the hate and slander alone. Hate speech is not freedom of speech and I think that fact has been drilled into most of us over the years. I said it before and I will say it again, if the church keeps this up one day one of their protest is going to turn violent, and then who knows what will happen.

That is true. But usually, usually, the people are not allowed to spread lies about their country. I mean look at how quick they shut down others who start to spread slander about the government. Oh, but wait. This isn't about the government directly. Just about the men and women who make this country what it is...

I just read about McCarthyism today and the principle is pretty much the same. McCarthy claimed he had found several Communist supporters in the U.S. house. He was very quickly shut down, they said it was a hoax. A publicity stunt.

Sorry for the simplistic views here but here you go

I think they aren't Christians. By definition a Christian is supposed to be Christ-like. Instead they are intolerant and quite disgustingly spiteful and hateful. Brings to mind the movie Easy A.

Anyways... being a Christian myself I always thought baptists were borderline cult. Westboro crossed that line a long time ago. I personally am repulsed by their self proclaimed holiness which is really only coming off as hatred. It honestly gives Christians everywhere a bad name. I admit that I don't tell people I'm a Christian anymore because of the automatic association with them. I rather think of myself nowadays as a follower of theology and Christ and not a follower of doctrine. It's obvious that the dogmatic views of Westboro baptist (aka being religious) has gotten in the way of their theology (specifically the belief that God loves everyone.).

Having said that, I have personally disassociated them from Christianity and therefore associated them with people like Scientologists, JW's and Mormons. Now all they need to do is start showing up at your doorstep.

PLEASE NOTE: I do not mean to offend anyone no matter what their religious views may be. I do not hate any of the above stated religious groups or their members I only wish to make a point of saying that I respectfully disagree with said beliefs/dogma.

I've met plenty of nice, honest Baptists, who truly believed their faith and had not a bone of hate in their body.
These people are in this for publicity, lawsuits, and who knows what.

It's a shame that people cannot realize the correct way to treat them is like cultists. They are not Christian of any sort and calling them any type of Christian is wrong. How are their actions Christ-like?

And like I said, if they were part of any church section they would have been shut down. I was talking to a ministor about that. He said that all churchs are part of a "branch" that watches over them and has some say. So they are part of a national group, of a sort. And if they were actually part of one of those groups they would have been shut down. So they are obviously operating on their own behalf so they do not get shut down.
