So fellow doodlers, why do you draw? Hobby? Want to be a great artist one day? Or just for laughs?

Sketch, I drawing sometimes to make ideas, I most of the time draw anime characters or My avi character.

Actually, drawing out my ideas in story boards helps inspire me to write. And if I can see the actions I want the characters to take, it helps me make my writing more detailed or it helps me decide if I want a scene that I'm writing to go a different way because the images my writing puts in peoples heads has to be precise if I want the right message to come across when someone reads my work.

Im probably going to fail high school because of all my drawing in class, i dont think i have even a single D-(or higher) in any of my classes. Drawing is the only way from keeping me from killing myself. Family and friends, i could care less about the way they would feel if i did it, but I do care extremely deeply for them. The mind is just a messed up blob of what we call nerves. What we perceive life to be is what ride our imagination takes us to. Do not go telling me O DONT DO IT because stuff like that makes me want to do it even more. The disgusting things reflect on the wrongs I have done in my life and i do not wish anyone to suffer what goes on in my drawings. The one thing I want to do is create, life does not matter but art does. That is why I draw.

That is why I draw. nice smile i draw because i need to...seriously...i need and i want. i mostly like magas and animes but i also draw realism... i draw since i remember and i should be better than i am, but is never to late to learn smile i love seeing other ppl art cause i enjoy to 'read' and understand what theyre trying to show. its amazing how ppl try to materialize what goes on in their minds.lets us know a little bit more about them, i guess...

In general, I really just LOVE art. Any kind.
I draw because it's usually the most imediate thing I can do and I would go crazy, probably, if I didn't. It helps me clear out my head, releave loads of stress and negative emotions, and get to know my characters a little better.

I draw because i like to put my imagination out there although sometimes it is hard but a challenge will make you better.
I dont plan on becoming an artist and i dont feel that i have good enough skills to anyway, so i draw for myself but would draw for others if they would like me to.
My friends say i shouldve take up art and i do too but i have other options i wanted , i am actually going to try to get the art teacher to make an art club at my school but i dont know if he would.
I think whatever you draw no matter how gory, sweet or frightening it is, it is art is passion and it is unique for everyone as everyone thinks differently.

sweatdrop im not very good at explaining myelf, um..when i draw it helps me create more imagination, and any mood im in i can put it into my art;anime and manga are my favorite things to draw..i like all kinds of art ^_^ i hope to do it for a living one day.. sweatdrop

I have to say drawing is my passion! I'm a freshman in college and I think it's the only thing I have going for me right now. It kind of depresses me sometime's to think I'm not nearly as excited with my art as I was in high school. I mean I can see improvement but I've lost a lot of drive since then, like in general. I plan to go as far as my art can take me and hope I'm happy in the end. biggrin very good question, Fuzzy Brown Shark.

at first it was because i wanted to draw salior moon(about age 3 or 4). later it became more of because i enjoy it(about age 11 or 13).

Why I draw? I love it of course! : ) I've been drawing since I could hold a jumbo-sized crayon without choking on it~
Art is such a good escape from the world as well. If I'm beyond stress levels, sometimes my mom will even ask "Have you drawn today?". "...No, I didn't." "Go upstairs and draw."
Whether my mom really is concerned, or just wants me to leave her alone, the world may never know xD
I've also made great friends through art (Other than my pencils)

i just draw when I'm bored usually because it's gives my mind to think about soemthing and as I make it as perfect as i can it's another thing that ky mind has something to think over .
