[Basic Information]
Full Name Berit Isolde Beilschmidt
Nicknames None - she'd kill you for anything stupid, though.
Gender Females
Age 18
Heritage Her father is German and her mother is Irish.
[Personality]
Berit is first and foremost an extremely adventurous person who delights in causing trouble and being the center of attention. She will goad, bully and harass people into doing what she likes but the majority of the time she causes problems so that everyone involved can have a good time. An example would be when she goaded and bullied her friends into going out with her to raid the dormitories of a few of their male friends. A lot of adrenaline and a close call with the night watchman later, Berit and her friends came home with their trophies of underwear.
Another personality trait worthy of being mentioned is Berit's caring nature. A lot of times, this trait is targeted straight at herself but she can be surprisingly good to those she cares for. When someone she cares for gets sick, Berit will drop whatever she is doing to take care of them. She adores primping and taking care of herself, but there are times that she is selfless.
Berit is also very short tempered which has led her to have her fair share of problems. When she gets upset, Berit will try to goad the person who set her off into a fight. She has a few scars to prove that she is dedicated to her honor. The scar she wears on her cheek was from the beating she got from her ex-boyfriend because she felt he was too weak. Because of her short temper, she knows how to take care of herself in a fight.
Berit's most apparent trait is her charisma. While her physical charms and winning matter can lead to problems with men, she is one person who you would want on your side should you need someone to move a crowd with her speech. Berit's rich voice is captivating and can draw the attention of those who would otherwise refuse to listen.
[History]
Berit was born into the world to a mother who didn't want her and a father that didn't know she existed until after she was born. The two had had a tryst several weeks before Leslie found out she was pregnant. The heat of the battlefield became even hotter in the bedroom. Life was hard by the time that she came into the world due in large part to her mother's lover. Ashram was disgusted by Berit and that made her early years hard.
The only one to really make Berit feel loved was her father which led to an almost grotesque love of him. Her father was her whole world when she was younger and she left her mother’s house at the age of seven to live with him. With her gone, Leslie and Ashram eventually had children of their own and Berit turned her back on the family that clearly didn’t want or need her.
Berit’s life with her father was pleasant, though she would become jealous of any woman that came into her life, distrusting her implicitly. It wasn’t until Natalie came along that Berit had any sort of permanent maternal figure in her life – and Natalie wasn’t exactly the ideal mother. She was the type of woman who liked wearing tight clothing and a bit morally loose. Natalie’s love and devotion to her father eventually got through Berit’s haughty exterior. This maternal figure treated Berit as a daughter and taught her to take care of herself. Not only did she teach her to defend herself with the craft of the swordsmanship but also the art of seduction and getting what she wanted.
When she was sixteen, Berit met the boy that would both make and break her life – a Russian by the name of Ivan. Ivan was only a few months younger than she was, but that didn’t change the fact that he was ten times more immature. Like every idiotic teenage girl, Berit fell instantly in love with him. They had a whirlwind romance where she dominated him in every way – using the tools that Natalie had taught her to, she was able to get him to do her bidding easily and she thought he was weak for it.
One day, tired of his overly willing nature, she pushed and taunted him cruelly. After a point, he snapped and attacked her leaving her quite broken mentally and physically. Berit was able to get within a quarter mile of her home where she was eventually found by her father. That night, Gilbert sat by her bedside and made promises to avenge her. Eventually regaining consciousness, Berit made her father promise to never go after Ivan for what she saw as her own fault.
Berit eventually healed and when she did she threw herself into the partying lifestyle, not caring if she was an outcast or welcomed. She went out every night and dragged herself home every morning. She eventually was sent to Applereach by her father in concern of her outrageous lifestyle.
