What is Rumspringa?
---Rumspringa is the period in the spring where Amish teens (16-19) decide to venture out of their traditional homes and into the 'Americanized' world.
The activities these teens usually participate in are: Wearing non-traditional clothing and hair styles, driving vehicles other than horse-drawn vehicles, not attending home prayer, drinking and/or using recreational drug, and above all engaging in pre-marital sex. This is when the teens decide if the Non-Amish life is for them and many return back to their traditional way of life but some either get hooked on drugs, love, or enjoy technology to much to return or even be accepted back into the Amish community.---

Name: Spike Evernight
Age: 18
Biography: Spike lives in the "rich" neighborhood. Although his parents do have quite a bit of money, he doesn't act like a spoiled brat. He does try to stay away from drugs, but does drink on occasion. The teen also has committed some acts of vandalism, but has never been caught.
Extras : His tongue has been split right down the middle, making it look like he has two, with each half having a black, bar piercing towards each of their middles. Usually hidden under his clothes, on his back, are two large, black bat wing tattoos, going from each of his shoulders right down to his waist.

Spike took a deep breath, diving under the water. He was currently swimming at the small lake by the park. The lake was clean, it's water so clear you could see right down to the bottom. However, there weren't any fish or any other animals living in the water. Several seconds later, the teen resurfaced, about eight or nine feet away from where he originally was. Laughing softly, Spike continued to swim, enjoying the nice, surprisingly warm weather of spring.

Spike was standing near the center of the lake, his back turned towards Oliver. The teen ran a hand though his soaked hair with a content sigh. "It's a really nice day. It almost feels like summer..." The tattoos on his back really stood out from his pale skin. The large, bat wings started right at his shoulders, covering most of his back. The two longest parts curved slightly along his hips, disappearing under the waistband of his boxers. He was unaware of Oliver's presence, too focused on his current activity.

Spike immediately turned around, looking in Oliver's direction. "Huh?!" The confused teen swam back towards the edge of the lake, walking out and onto the grass. He hesitated for a moment before continuing, soon spotting a frightened, wide-eyed Oliver laying helplessly in the grass. 'Are you okay," Spike asked, although he kept his distance from the Amish boy.
