Itzapalotl slowly walked back toward the 'nesting' tree of her mother's. Her head held high as she focused on the area immediately in front of her. Should anyone see her they would know what marvelous lineage she had carried just by the mere way she carried herself. That was, as she was taught by her mother, how things should be. She was of a higher being than most others, most of all men, and would be a damned fool not to portray it to others.
Luckily for Itzapa her image was so perfectly portrayed that it masked any disgruntled feelings toward being summoned at such an early hour. She loved her mother dearly and was quick to listen to her words, yet there was something about being pulled away from her 'other' engagements she found rather frustrating.
Once in view of the 'nest' she paused in her step and looked around for any evidence her mother was present. She could just barely make out the shape of Seeker gliding over the trees, looking to be leaving toward the river.
She let out a sigh. Perhaps that was a sign...

She indeed was one that was early to rise, however, she fully believed in naps. Even more-so now that her 'domain' was expanding with her own family to help with her duties.
After the children had come, she had certainly relaxed a little more. She was a little dismayed that her eldest had taken to actually leaving the jungle, that she seemed to not want much to do with the family, however, that dismay was equally outweighed by Itza's acceptance of her role and of her teachings.
She was looking out over the valley in which Itza came from, not so much looking for her daughter as much as she was surveying the land itself. Things were quiet for now, but the jungle would be waking up soon enough. An ear flicked as she saw Itza approach, she made eye contact with her daughter before nodding down to her.

Itzpaplotl gave her mother a returning nod and suppressed a sigh. It was un leader like, as she had heard before, to sigh in the presence of others. No matter how hard it was. She had gotten good over the course of her life.
"Good morning mother." She started without the question. Another lesson, there are in fact such things as stupid questions.

Xochi looked back over the valley a bit, she was still, listening, waiting. She started off with the same question she always had, at least for a long while now.
"Have you seen your sister?" Her tone was calm, almost disinterested as if she thought she should ask, more than asking because she wanted to.

Itzapalotl gave a quiet sigh at the obvious question. One that had the same answer for the past several times it was asked.
"I have not, Mother." She shook her head. "Not for a while now."
Her answer the same nearly every time as well. Though the time span in the second statement always grew longer and longer each time. Only the great one knows where Quauhxochitl gets to now and than.
"Should I go out and fetch her for you?" A sincere yet unlikely question.

Shaking her head her eyes finally drifted over to her daughter, a smile curl on her lips, pleased that her daughter, without skipping a beat, would still go even if she asked.
"No..." she answered simply. She finally gave out a light yawn and looked back out, still smiling. In a way she was proud her other left, to her, it only meant that she had raised Quau to be strong and independent. That was all she could have ever wanted.
After a couple of moments, she turned again to Itza and came away from the edge of the massive 'nest'. "And how are you this day?"

No doubt her sister was out enjoying whatever she had gotten herself into. It wasn't a terrible thing and Itzapalotl always admired her sister's spirit. Since they were foals Quau was always the 'ring leader' in the shenanigans. At least, that was how she remembered it.
Itzapalotl followed her mother without a second look over the landscape. She walked keeping her head only slightly behind Xochi's by a nose's length.
"I am well. And you mother?" Was her simple reply.
