Faction/Race Monster / Chimera

Personality: Sweet and childlike, he’s a bit of a kid at times but he is always quick to fight for his friends. He loves to give people nicknames as soon as he learns their name. He’s a creative and caring soul. A mockery to all monster kind. He knows basic martial arts that he learned from his mother. Avalon loves to sing and daydream, which causes him to space out but he isn’t a total airhead and is much smarter than anyone would ever expect. If he’s yelled at he will look up at them with a sad puppy-dog [removed](though usually all that is seen is a quivering lip).

He loves to meet new people and to follow them around. He’s sort of a clinger and will protect them with his life. He gets laughed at for his weak arcane skill of breathing fire that all chimera learn how to do (see FEAR Natural Ability.)

Looks Can Kill...Eventually: Due to Avalon's FEAR he can't make direct eye contact with people. He doesn't mean to out of disrespect, he doesn't want the person he's talking to to freeze up.

Whut? I don't get it: Being naive and child-like, a lot of things go way over his head. If the talk is on more 'adult' things he'll probably ask for an explanation.

But but...___-chan...: Avalon loves to make friends. Because of his innocent nature he has a tendency to melt even the coldest of hearts. After meeting someone for the first time, he'll try to make them a friend and usually gives them a nickname. This can also be a downfall because he is so trusting, it can in the end cause him pain or reveal weakness.

Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Avalon would like to improve his abilities, especially his Fire-Breathing ability. He has a very keen interest in martial arts and classes with lots of people. He’s not very good at drawing but he enjoys to draw and doodle on his assignments as well as the desks.

FEAR: Ocular Poison: Avalon has the curious ability to momentarily freeze his foe with his eyes. It’s more of an ability where the foe is immobile as long as his gaze is is in contact with the others. If the foe could look away or Avalon attention is diverted the effect wears off. Think of it as when a snake has it's prey in it's sight and the animal is frozen in fear unable to move. During his first year he can only do it once per battle that lasts from 1-2 rounds (as long as he still has the foes attention), but as he grows older and more steady with his ability he can do it more often as well as make it more deadly. This ability is similar to that of Catoblepas.

Natural Ability: Fire-Breathing: All chimera have the ability to breath a jet of flame from their maws. Avalon can not and as a result all he can do is rarily, a tiny little flame but usually smoke.

Physical Description: 4’9” (very short and tiny) though slender in build with a soft curve to his head like that of a child.
Eye Colour: Deep Amber (though it’s usually hidden from sight due to his shaggy hair)
Hair Colour/Style: Dirty blonde; shaggy that covers his eyes, about bottom of his ear length.
Skin Colour: Slightly tanned
Clothing Style/Colours: He usually wears black t-shirts with skulls on them, as well as a orange, white and black half jacket that is always open to reveal his shirt. Tan pants with rips in the knees. Black and white tennis shoes, as well as a black wristband on his right wrist. A silver key hangs on a necklace around his neck he got from his mother.
Extra: Light brown lion ears that barely poke up from his hair as well as short light gray horns that are barely visable atop his head. His tail is that of a black serpent, with little intelligence and is more of a instinctual creature though he seems to hold some power over it (ie: keep it from biting, but if he’s startled the snake will strike). Small gray wings that he will shed as he grows older. Always carries his pet, Morpheus, around with him everywhere he goes.

True Form: That of a small lion cub with short goat horns, small flightless gray wings and black serpent tail. (Think of the serpent as a black mamba that will develop it’s poison as Avalon matures).

He's more over social and loves to meet new people and makes friendships like that. Can be obnoxious to some people but he enjoys to speak his mind and be himself. He hates to be put down but he'll listen to criticism.

Ideas for Club or Sports: Probably any clubs that have to do with art like an Arts and Crafts Club. Sports anything with kendo or karate or judo. Martial Arts things.

And Names. Either Cute or Badass names. I was thinking like Cookie or Honey or Titus or something of the likes.

His mother says she is proud of him but deep down she's disappointed that he cannot breathe fire like all chimeras can. His father has never been much in the scene and Avalon has never even met him. (More of a one night stand) XD..His mother (Aliana is her name), wants him to go to the school to learn how to improve this ability. As for why his fire is weak I think it is more over he hasn't matured enough or perhaps he never will. Aliana taught him martial arts to defend himself to make up for his abilities. Though I must say she was equally surprised to find she couldn't gaze into her son's eyes or else she would freeze up.

The residents of Halloween Town will eventually grow into their full forms and scarier as they grow older. Whether it be a snarling werewolf to a monster made of ectoplasmic goo.

Avalon is young (even for Chimera standards). He is tiny, and not very skilled in the ways of a monster so he has a lot to learn. Eventually he will grow into his huge fire-breathing lion/goat/snake.

His main goal is to impress his mother and to make as many friends as he can. His personality sort of draws people in due to his factor of looking small and childish. Makes it hard for anyone to stay mad at him. xD

His motivation? That's a tough one. I suppose he just wants to make friends and one day be able to master his FEAR.
