Gabriel Avenue... Where had she heard that name before? Ary frowned, puzzling over the odd fact that she actually recognized a name before. Only after glancing around the room once to check that everything was in place did she realize where the name had come from. The skills teacher, Fifth Avenue, had twin boys. That's where she had heard their name from, despite her best efforts to avoid him. Anyone who could control fire was dangerous in her books until an alliance of sorts could be agreed on.
Or at least a peace treaty that only extended to no flaming or icing of physical objects such as the other person, their door, and various personal effects. Great.

Gabriel half-skipped leisurely on his way to his first melee class, the first class that he was going to be able to have without his father's involvement. Which was good, of course! He was finally old enough and big enough to be able to do something without his dad being there. He was growing up now, that was for sure. The older he was, the closer he was to being the right and proper man for his lovely Ilyrosa, could finally grow up to marry her and be with her forever and ever!!
The boy paused for a moment in those thoughts, wondering how on Earth he, of patience blood, only a preteen, was already prepared to settle down with this woman, the love of his life, despite the fact that he was easily young enough for find another. Shrugging to himself, he smiled a bit and continued to his classroom. He supposed it was pride. Pride in the hopes of proving that he could be the most perfect, wonderful man that she had ever met. Patience in the fact that he could wait a lifetime and then some to become that man for her.
Gently, he nudged the door -coincidentally, pretty close to his father's classroom- open, peeking in and smiling a bit. "You're Ary, right? I'm Gabriel Avenue, here for a melee class aaand, I think it's supposed have to do with either guns or, uh, arrows 'n' bows or whatever. Something like targets. So, should we get started then?"

Ary glanced up from the folder she had, dropping it unceremoniously onto the small and very beat up desk that just happened to be in her room. "Yup, that's my name. First we're working with aiming, then with actual weapons. Like hell I'd let you people actually use something dangerous in here on the first day," she commented, straightening up before getting a better look at the kid. Yeah, not the wrath child like she had vaguely hoped for. Damn. Oh well, better than nothing she supposed.
"We can try a bow and arrow approach, or an actual gun approach to this. Or hell, I'm sure I've got some spears if that's what you want," Ary added, glancing at her weapons cabinets for the briefest of moments. There had to be something resembling a gun in there, and there were definitely spears and bows, since she had made sure to gather those first upon arriving so many months ago.

The fact that he wasn't going to actually be able to use a weapon at this point in time definitely put a bit of a damper on Gabriel's spirits, his headwings drooping gently. Though, he supposed it didn't mean that he wasn't going to use weapons at all, just that they weren't going to use anything particularly dangerous, and just not for today. Keeping that in mind was going to be the way that he would actually manage to keep from any kind of impatience.
"If you don't mind, learning how to use a gun was the most appealing to me. I wouldn't mind learning how to use a bow and arrow, either, but I don't think that that would actually be useful outside of these classes, if you know what I mean," the pride spawn replied, stepping further into the classroom and looking around himself. The room itself wasn't much different than his father's classroom, though the supplies within it were definitely for a different type of class.
