No more new clothes... only what's listed available now.

Lily Robinson reached Mossflower with a huff, and let her bag hit the floor. It was a LONG walk to the other side of the road where the humans lived, but it was usually worth it in the end. This time around Lily had scrounged up many things that she could sell to the foresters, but for today she was focusing on the items she'd stolen from a dumpster behind the thrift store. That meant clothes.

User Image

Today she had 8 pieces for sale. (the six you see and two that you don't see because I want you to tell me what they are.) And the thing about Lily was that she never accepted the things that most beasts accepted in trade. She had no time or patience for riches... usually she just sold to whoever amused her the most.

(( So Lily is currently set up on a small stump in Mossflower with these 8 pieces of clothing you see here - or don't see as the case may be- ... what you have to do is rp the process of purchasing these clothes if you want them... or rp the prospect of purchasing these clothes if you don't actually want the clothes, but would rather win a random item (from the item shops). IF you win a peice of clothing, I will EDIT IT ONTO YOUR CHARACTER for you. ^_^ and you'll be the smurfiest looking creature in the forest. ))

I will be creating a guild thread for this. You may approach Lily in groups, but I expect most of the rp to be done one on one.

Two golden eyes roved over the various odds and ends that were for sale in the multitude of little stands and shops. Zander absolutely loved coming to Mossflower. The place still sort of felt like his home, since it was pretty much where he'd spent all his life...until he'd decided to run off, and Lirian had adopted him. Now he lived with the hedgehog in Fleuve, learning how to do carpentry with his new guardian, as well as trying to further his true craft, which was to sing and play his instrument. The little old mandolin was strapped to his back now, he pretty much dragged it everywhere. It had gotten pretty busted up during his flight to the river too, but Lir had helped him to mend it. It was vendor day, which meant he'd been helping Lir sell stuff, but now they were on break, and he was free to wander a little.

He stopped dead in his tracks when his eyes caught sight of none other than Lily Robinson. Lily effin' Robinson! The little ferret stood slack-jawed for a moment as he gazed at the raccoon lady, who was known across the land for her daring deeds. But then, he got even more excited to see that she was selling things. He hurried right over, grinning a big, sharp-toothed ferret smile. Clothes! His eyes roamed over the outfits, but glued onto one of them - the vibrant blue shirt with the yellow tunic. It was so colorful, and it stood out from the rest. The fact that it was a dress didn't once cross the youngster's mind...how was a little kid like him to know?

"Hiii there!" he cried in an excited voice, continuing to smile. "Aren't you Lily Robinson!? I've heard about you before, Zephra told us about you! Is this stuff for sale??" he asked, his voice quick as he looked over the clothes again.

((...<_> I hope i'm doing this right))

Another beautiful day, the perfect day for a trip into Mossflower. Abeya had packed a bag of snacks for herself and Newt, then headed off. She loved the hustle and bustle of market day, almost preferring to sit back and watch rather than buy anything herself. It made her feel as though she was a part of something big and amazing. Newt was busying himself trying to spin an acorn as Abeya surveyed the scene. And there she was! No, It can’t be! Abeya jumped to her feet, her amber eyes growing wide. It was, it was! Lily Robinson, -the- Lily Robinson. Abeya had admired her since as long as she could remember, wishing she had the nerve to go exploring like her. “Newt, you stay right here, okay? I’ll be right back” She didn’t even notice that Lily was selling anything, and didn’t much care, she was just overjoyed to share the same air as The Great Adventurer.

Excuse me…are you Lily Robinson? I mean, I know you are, but…Is it really you!?” Abeya spoke quickly and excitedly, “You’re my hero!…Is that some of the stuff you found on your latest adventure? It’s amazing…Oh I’d love something like that.” She pointed to a blue and white striped floral dress laying amongst the other bright and wild patterned clothing. It wasn’t as beautiful or fancy as the others, but it just seemed to call her name. Oh, the tales that dress could tell. “Is it for sale?” Abeya frowned slightly after saying that, realizing that she had absolutely nothing worth trading…nothing that Lily would want. What can you possibly give to the girl that has finds everything?

[went looking through a site with vintage Barbie Doll clothes and fell in love with this dress, i can see it being in the same pile as the Zebra print Bathing suit. LOL]

Lily looked up at the ferret with a slight smile, but it was mostly put on for the sake of business. "Yeah, I'm Lily, but I don't imagine that Zeph has many nice things to say about me anymore." She chuckled.

"Everything you see before you is for sale, but you gotta have a good trade for it if you really want it."

Lily scowled over the stump at Abeya. "I think you're referring to my father, or any of the other Robinson Raccoons." She huffed. "I'm going to have to have a talk with Zephra. It seems that she's been spreading filthy lies about me being some kind of do gooder. None the less." She put on a big smile for the little mouse. "Everything on the stump is for sale, and everything on the stump must go! I take almost anything in trade as long as it's original... I don't really have any use for most things because my recona-ais-stance missions get me all the stuff I could ever want..." She leaned in all secret like. "That's why this stuff is for sale. "

She winked at the mouse.

The little ferret blushed a little beneath his fur, and laughed nervously. "Oh, she didn't say much. N-nothing bad, of course!" he said, backpedaling just a little. It'd been ages since Zephra'd ever told them a story about the Robinson family, before he'd left the orphanage. He didn't want to make her cross and send him away, not before he had a chance to buy that awesome blue shirt.

"I really like the blue one with the red on the sleeves." he said enthusiastically, still unaware that it might've been a girly piece of clothing. "Hmm." he looked into the little satchel Lir had made him. He didn't have much on him really...a leaf pouch of grubs, for snacking on later, his whittling knife (another gift from his adoptive father), a couple of tiny wood pieces he'd brought to work on during downtime. Nothing to trade really, since the little carvings he was working on weren't anywhere close to being finished...or really any good.

Then, he perked up, a little light bulb illuminating within his little mustelid brain. "I don't have much in the way of goods, but...well, how about a song? Just for you, I promise it'll be good!" he said, shifting his beat-up mandolin from his back to his front, so that it was in playing position.

She eyed him fiercely... "I'll take a song... You buying that dress for your sister or something?"

Abeya jumped back slightly at Lily’s scowl. I could have sworn…oh how embarrassing…Way to make a good impression.I’m sorry…I just…I want to be an explorer…only I’m not so brave as I’d like.” She rubbed the back of her head and shrugged, soon relaxing once Lily’s expression changed. She was definitely intimidating, that’s for sure. “That dress there…with the blue and the flowers and all…what…what would you take for that?…I don’t have much…” Abeya grumbled and smacked her own arm, Stupid! That’s no way to haggle! Snap out of it.I’m pretty handy at cooking…could knock you up some hot tea, bread and fried fish…if I had the ingredients.” She frowned and started to back away, disappointed that she was thrown off her game, “Naw…you probably wouldn’t care for that…just…just forget it.

"You don't have to be brave to be an adventurer..." She scowled again. "You just have to lack a desire for common sense, and you have to go out and do it. Adventure doesn't always find you, usually you have to seek it."

"I do enjoy fish..." She shook her head side to side quickly in thought. "Tea and fish and maybe even some spices... Though I won't let you have the dress until you cook it, to be fair." She looked the mouse up and down. "You Mossflower?"

((XD *lolin*))

The blood drained from the little ferret's face as his heart gave a thud of embarrassment, getting even more anxious at the look she was giving him. "D...Dress!? That's a dress?" he looked flustered for a moment. Being an orphaned child, Zander didn't know an awful lot about clothes. He thought dresses were supposed to be long, horrible, frilly-lacey things, usually white or light colored, that went to your feet...but he realized after a moment that that's exactly how long the blue piece might be, for a mouse or something. He was a long animal though. He gulped. "No way!" he said, daring to challenge her. "That's obviously a top with a tunic...it's not even long enough to be a dress. With all due respect." he added quickly, his voice quite meek, squeezing the neck of his mandolin.

Well…yes…I suppose you’re right about that.” Abeya tilted and nodded her head, “Sometimes I’m not sure it’s the right thing for me…all the stories make it seem so romantic and exciting…but everything has a bad side, doesn’t it?” Abeya’s mood lifted, “Oh yes, to be fair…of course…” She gestured to Newt, who soon scrambled to his feet and joined her, “No, I’m Woodhaven. Not far though. Where Mossflower and Woodhaven touch, not far from the River.

Laird was pretty positive he was going to be the strongest raptor in all of Stonecrest at this rate. He made frequents flights from his home to Mossflower and back lately, now with him carrying the added weight of a baby bat at least half way. It was a trying task but the dark feathered male persevered, refusing to let his schedule and planned activities be interrupted by the challenge. Still, Laird gave an audible sigh of relief as he touched down on the outskirts of Mossflower. He might get stronger with each flight but they were still exhausting.

Switchfoot on the other hand slid off her guardian's feathered chest and began to crawl away the moment he'd landed. The little dark furred bat had spotted a whole bunch of interesting looking stuff being sort of guarded by a raccoon. Unable to deny herself the chance to sate her curiosity Switchfoot crawled closer, blue eyes focused more on the strange looking clothes than the beast who was with them, or the fact that her long ears were dragging along the ground beside her.

The eye-catching display of clothes on the stump was interesting to both Marceline and Finn- a rare thing indeed, as the cat had often thought she'd seen all there was to see of Mossflower. The stump wasn't too terribly crowded yet- some mice, a ferret, a bird, a tiny bat. Most of them were smaller than she was. Sidling in, she quickly glanced at the material laid before her. She chuckled at the little male ferret with the pretty blue dress. "I would have killed for a dress like that when I was a little girl..." she murmured, before digging through the pile to try and find something useful. While Hallowmarl was a great place to live, the sand was hot and often bothered her footpaws. However, she didn't really see any sandals or shoes... until a piece of brown pleather caught her eye. A pair of boots? Excellent!

They were pretty amazing boots. They'd once been part of a Captain John Starling Adventure Playset, and what they lacked in legitimacy they made up for in ornateness. She tossed the black-and-white... acrobat's costume to the side to get a better look at them, irritating Finn in the process.

"Hey!" the squirrel shouted. "What's 'at all about?" He'd been looking very carefully at that acrobat's costume, and didn't appreciate its sudden disappearance

"I'm lookin' at boots," she said, not really paying attention to her young charge. "Iffen you want to run off an' play or somethin', that's fine by me."

The squirrel was off in a flash. Tucking the boots under her arm, she forced her way up to the front where the raccoon was standing. "'Ey, Miz Raccoon! What kind of trades you after for this lot?" she said to the raccoon once the creature had a free moment.

Epra wasn't in the best of moods. Then again, the shrew was hardly even in a good mood. She was in Mossflower again to get away from the heat of the desert and look for interesting things. The downside to it all had been having to drag Tuck along for the whole trip. The little squirrel had complained about the pace she'd set, the heat, the long trip, that he was thirst, hungry, tired, blah, blah, blah. Epra groaned at the thought of having to return to Hallowmarl with him. Perhaps she should just knock him over the head and drag him by his fluffy tail back home. The idea was certainly tempting...

As she was plotting this, something caught her attention. Oh, look. That raccoon had some interesting items. She walked on past, not wanting to look too eager. She browsed at a few stalls for a bit before returning to the stump where Lily was set up. Without much interest, the shrew picked up the red shirt and turned it over in her paws. She didn't want this; she wanted that fluffy white hat. But bartering was a skill. If you didn't learn it, you had to pay more for stuff!

Ignoring Lily, Epra continued to look over the shirt in her paws.

Leandar strolled around Mossflower's renowned market, searching for something of unexpected value. Such a find wasn't uncommon, and there wasn't a single time that Leandar had come away without something. Suddenly searching eyes found what they searched for in the form of Lily's shop. A smile was painted on his face, "hello," he said kindly to the shops proprietor. Although he was currently conversing with the pirate-looking animal, Leandar's focus shifted to a cowboy hat with a surgical face mask, which wraps around the ears, and a pair of goggles attached to the brim of the hat. It was perhaps the most peculiar item that the wildcat had seen, but Leandar was intrigued all the same.

[since it's still open, I thought I'd throw my hedgehog into the fray. hope that's all right]

User ImageGormen grumbled as he made his way through the market stalls in Mossflower. He hated being out of the comfort zone of Breezemoor, but a ‘hogs gotta eat! Attached to the weeping willow branch hanging over his shoulder were a few small fish that he had caught earlier that morning. He had set aside some for himself and was bringing the rest to market, hoping to trade for some other foodstuff or whatever happened to catch his eye. After stopping off to trade for some cheese and bread, he glanced over at bustling occurring at a nearby stump. Making his way over there, out of curiosity, he spotted an interesting red shirt with lots of criss-crossed white and gray lines. Perhaps I could trade one of these fishes for that…would come in handy on those cooler mornings.

Over-hearing a small gray mouse trying to bargain for a dress, he quickly came up with a plan. “Ah, excuse me…I couldn’t help but hear you speak of fish…” He looked at the mouse and attempted a smile that looked more like a painful grimace, “I can provide you with the fish you need…In exchange for that shirt there.” He pointed to the plaid shirt and then looked at Lily, waiting for an answer.
