A larger-than-normal child by the name of Ciúin sat on the edge of the dock while his mother watched from afar. It was a short dock, meant for paddle boats and not much else. It was also rather chilly outside, so there were few paddle boats out. Ciúin was bundled up rather tightly, his mother didn't want him getting sick. Only his big, clawed feet, his red-haired head, and his bulky tail were protruding from the otherwise impervious fluff of coverings. His wings were feeling a bit cramped. But it was his idea to go to the pond, and the only way Moira would let him go was if he would bundle up. So he did. And now he looked like a marshmallow spawn.
He sighed as he dipped his feet in the water, the coldness sending a shiver up his spine. He loved it though, it was water, even if it was rather cool out. As he sat there, thinking of diving into the pond, his tail swayed back and forth lazily on the wooden dock. He was bored, there was no getting around it. He was enjoying the water, but he wanted to share his enjoyment with someone. His mother was there, but that was his mom, he was always hanging out with her. He wanted someone new...

Kaleb needed the time out of the house, though he would have denied it. His brothers had noticed, his parents had noticed, even some of his friends had. The lust liberality spawn had closed up. His shoulders slumped, his head was focused on the ground. He needed time away from the house.
So there he was, by the dock. Kicking lose stones into the water without paying the tiny splashes they created much heed. He noticed a boy who looked about his age--he couldn't really tell. Ciúin was definitely large enough to be Kaleb's age. He supposed it'd be a good time to meet someone knew.
"Hey," he said. "I'm Kaleb. Aren't you freezing?"

Ciúin spun around when he heard Kaleb say something. It'd been relatively quiet, so when he'd heard a noise, his focus turned to it, even if he couldn't understand what was being said. His eyes went straight to Kaleb's mouth, reading his lips. He managed to catch "...you freezing?" but that was it. "Freezing?" came his normal, flat tone. "No, I like the water. I am bundled up too, so I am not cold."
A very small smile pulled on the corners of Ciúin's mouth as he looked Kaleb over. He definitely looked old than himself but he also looked like something was troubling him. "I am Ciúin. What is your name?" His eyes went back to watching Kaleb's lips, waiting for an answer.
