The first level of Impel Down in which prisoners are kept in. While the level relatively is used for less wanted criminals, it contains a large forest of red trees. The leaves of the trees, known as Kenju, are as sharp as blades while the grass on the floor, the Haribarisou, is as spiky as needles. Here prisoners are forced to run through the forest while being chased by poisonous spiders and guards to experience all the pain from being cut from all directions. As consequence of prisoners being forced through this forest, it is soaked in blood. Deep within the forest is a hole that leads to level 2.

Marik walked into the area, stepping on the grass he shifted the areas that were poked by the grass into smoke. Marik didn't turn to look at lucas, "this forest isn't normal, watch yourself." Marik said and the leaves of the nearby tress fell and touched him only to cut his jacket, Marik now shifted into smoke not only to avoid pain by stepping on the grass but also to avoid the leaves as well. Marik avoided all the forces of nature around him including the poisonous animals in the forest, Marik made sure he was safe but he wasn't sure if Lucas had a way to avoid the natural weapons in the area, but Marik was sure Lucas would find a way to stay unharmed.

"The Gentle Demon""I've seen it all and done it all,As Marik shifted into smoke, Lucas looked on as the red shards just passed through him, "Hehe, you don't need to worry about me" Lucas said as revealed the true power of his devil fruit, and transformed into a magnificent, fiery blue phoenix and flew up towards the sky, "As long as I'm in this form, nothing can hurt me" Lucas said as he looked down at Marik, "This is a rare ability I have here, so I don't like sowing it off too much, besides, I really like the thrill feeling every wound I get" Lucas said as he continued to fly.

Marik smiled, "I knew there was more to you than meets the eyes, I was expecting something different but that is some form you got there. Let's continue through this forest." Marik said as he kept shifting upon the natural blades attempted to cut him and the animals attempted to poison him. Marik didn't pay more attention than he had to to his surroundings, for he already took in everything he needed in order to be ready for a conflict. Marik was beginning to get a feeling as if they were about to get away without to much conflict. Marik got through the forest and stepped in front of the gates to Impel Down, "looks like we just have to open the gates and we are free to go." Marik said with a smile and a cocky tone.

 Zito dodged a thorn as he entered the Crimson Hell. He'd heard once about this place by his father but he didn't imagine that the first floor really had nothing but thorns. There were thorns everywhere, on the ground, on the trees; even thorns on the branches of those trees, some missing him while others cut him. " So this is what hell looks like" he said as he stopped to take a good glance at it all. " I don't like it." However, had he been paying attention, he'd have noticed the two standing in front of him, their appearances giving most people a run for their money. " Oh my" he said plainly as he stood right in front of them with the most unmoving look. " Looks like I might have interrupted something." he said, noticing the smokey legs and the flying phoenix.

"The Gentle Demon""I've seen it all and done it all,Before leaving the final level, Lucas would look down to see a young man looking at the two of them, "Well, what do we have here. Marik, hold on a sec, I'll be right back" Lucas said out loud as he flew down towards the boy, soon he was hovering right in his face, "That look in your eye, there's something about that, that makes me wanna kill you." Lucas said as he then chuckled a bit, "But I like those type of eyes, fearless and cold. You remind me of myself, kid" Lucas would say as he would then land on the ground, with the shard stabbing him right in his feet, which were burning a blue flame, "Say do you wanna join our crew?" Lucas asked as he could tell that this kid was special, "I can tell that with the right crew and right type of training you could become a fierce pirate, and who knows, maybe one day you could even give me a challenge" Lucas said as he held out his hand, "Well, how about it, kid? Stay here or sail the seas, with us?" Lucas asked as he saw yet another interesting figure coming up from behind him.

Zito's aloof personality had gotten the better of him as he saw the bird get in his face. " Oh look, a pretty bird" he said before pulling out one of his twin guns and aimed, nearly pulling the trigger before stopping to hear the bird talk. When the bird became human, he could only grimace as he no longer had any target practice. When Zito heard that the man wanted to kill him, he let it float over him as though he didn't care. Zito hadn't lowered the pistol in the slightest but hearing the man ask for him to join his crew made his arm shake for a moment. Zito had left his dingy outside but he had no emotional attachment to it what so ever. His grandfather had switched boats frequently, so it didn't matter whether he left it or not. As much as Zito didn't want to be near Lucas, he knew that he could benefit greatly from using him. Zito put the gun down in a false retreat and placed it back in its holster. " Fine, I'll join and give myself something to do" Zito said, still feeling as though he hadn't lowered the gun and was aiming it right at Lucas's foreheard.

"Did you really think You'd make it out of here after i went through the trouble of dragging your sorry a** all the way here" Aomi said from atop on of the many razor trees her armor Haki preventing her from being cut. She released a poison tipped arrow right at Zito aiming to hit him in the stomach with her poison all she needed was a scratch she then pulled he bow staff with another arm before firing a cross bow bolt with the other aiming for Marik. I don't know what the others are able to do but i need to find out fast she thought gripping her seastone staff waiting to see the pirates next move.

Marik shifted his arm into smoke and forced his fist to hit the arrow away from the kid and avoiding the point, since the kid was now apart of his crew his safety was Marik's responsibility. Marik then shifted the area that was shot at to avoid any damage, looking towards the new arrival he smiled. Marik looked at the others, "It seems we won't be escaping as easily as we had originally thought, oh well looks like we get to have a little fun while we are here though." Marik then sighed keeping his eyes on their new opponent, Marik was sure between the three of them they would have the advantage. Marik then cracked his knuckles and neck readying himself for the battle ahead of them. Marik held his Jutte out, though it was more useful against pirates it would still be useful against others as well.

Zito pulled out both of his guns and aimed one at the stranger and another at his new crew mate. " Do that again and you won't make to breath another puff of smoke" Zito said with his face stil plain but his anger showing through his eyes. " Let's play, Ms" Zito said as he moved around some thorns carefully and jumped on a small patch of thornless ground to reach the girl. Zito's training had prepared him for physical training like high jumping, making it easy for Zito to fly up ward toward the girl above, kicking off one of the thorns of the tree on their blunt side and fired rapid bullets up at the girl, Zito's irritation showing in the way he fired so many bullets at the girl at once.

"The Gentle Demon""I've seen it all and done it all,Lucas could only watch, as his two crew mates were fighting up against an Admiral, but not just any Admiral, it was the love of his life, or so he said. "Well, well. If it isn't my beautiful tiger lily. What brings you here, my love?" Lucas said as he drew his sword and smiled, "Ah, yes these are my new comrades, please do be gentle with them" Lucas said as he watched as Zito went on the offensive and started shooting.

"looks like your not the only sorry sack of s**t on your crew" Aomi said as she used mantra to dodge most of the shots blocking a couple with her staff. As she dodged she balled up her fist and sent one of her Karakusagawara Seiken fishman karate punches at the airborne man. As attack approached the man Aomi leaps from the tree using her armor Haki to send a hard kick at the smoke mans face. A crew of three low ranking pirates wouldn't be much trouble for her alone but they'd be even less trouble once her crew got here.

Raggrinzito used his eye sight to his advantage and blocked the attacks in mid-air as best he could before he saw one that was most useful. He threw his legs in front of him and let the punch propel him, making him rotate downward off the force. As Zito landed on the ground his landed on his hands and feet like a cat with his face still looking plain as usual, feeling bruises on his elbows. " That's a little much, even for an admiral..." he said as he stood up and into a fighting position most suitable for the fight. He aimed both of the guns at the rapidly moving admiral and fired without mercy. He wanted to get this done without exerting his powers and yet he wanted to end this before the admiral got any comrades to help her. Easy, he thought uncertainly.

Marik ducked the kick, his reflexes where good but not great he did have enough time to react do to how far they were apart. Marik didn't particularly like using his abilities unless he was in a situation that he needed to use them, and this was not one as of yet. Marik watched the boy attempt to fire at the admiral again, though he had just joined Marik's crew he spoke to him like he was the superior over Marik. Marik laughed not at the admiral but rather at the situation, "I believe it will take more than a simple kick to touch me in anyway, I think you will have to try a bit harder than that." Hearing Lucas he smiled only able to think, 'he is in love with the enemy, how interesting.' Marik then looked towards the boy who was shooting rather hastily, 'I guess he is worried that if more come we will not make it out alive, why worry I live for the moment.' Marik sighed as he decided to wait and see how the others will asses the situation, while he studied the movements of not only the enemy but his comrades as well. he kept his Jutte ready and he stood straight, not in any fighting pose, looking at him you would think he was merely an observer, but he was more than ready to react if need be.
