Noxious Firth.

The only thing the secretary remembered about the infamous and missing Trick or Treater prior to the Pride incident involved an ice cream dispenser, copious amounts of soap, and a wedgie. The secretary was having a hard time giving a damn about the situation: none the less Hellma does as Hellma wants.

Arel stood up against the lopsided table, trying to look busy as he shuffled the same pieces of paper over and over again. To his left, Professor Red was busy adjusting her chair, to his right another Professor seemed to be doing an amazing job of not not falling asleep. Double negatives in a negative situation.

Hellma sat in the very front of the table, a large, wooden table which had seen better years as a tree. A Rather Unhappy Acceptance Bin was propped in between the chair and her rump; though the faculty probably agreed in the most part that it was infinitely thousands times better not to stare at her glowering face.

"Attention-" This sentence was cut off by a teacher noisily coughing in the background. Arel wrinkled his brow. "Now we shall begin-" Another wheeze, and then someone asking another someone what the time was, and then silence. Finally.

"As I was saying the minutes, of the meeting, yes, lets see here," Considering all the papers wrote on them 'Cleaning Bill', the secretary seemed quite the improviser "First, we want to make sure all the Amityville staff are aware of our current situation. This problem was originally kept to Town Halls, but unfortunately, due to a series of incidents, have leaked all over the school. It is our priority to keep things under con-" His chair hiccuped. -"to take this to our opportunity." He glowered at Hellma.

"We will begin with a word from our Headmistress regarding actions to be taken, and then a briefing from Red. Following this is a question and answer session for all staff involved, as you are faculty here, we ask that you all take some form of responsibility in the weeks to come."

The secretary sat back down (as sitting on the chair, the table sadly covered up to his nose), and shuffled his papers nervously once more, giving a slow nod to the headmistress.

The headmistress glared back down at him from her lofty perch, "Waste of the air I breathe..." she muttered before returning her attention to the more "esteemed" members of faculty. "The students have shown much promise, during several mildly hazardous events, you agree?" She paused and squinted at a teacher lifting their hand. Did they disagree? Were they about to challenge her will?! But no, they were only picking their nose. Typical.

Rolling her eyes, Hellma went on, "So there will be another field trip for the precious snots, the place for it will be Over There. Most excellent survival training will be provided, including a light rescue scenario, as we have found where Mr. Firth got stranded. Nothing too dangerous of course. Students are our precious commodity and should be treasured, it is my motto!" The shadow behind her loomed over the gathering and she twitched her lips into what she felt was a reassuring smile. The teachers stared back in silent horror.

"The train is still in repair, so this time we go by boat. You will, of course, be volunteering your personal time to assist."

Silent horror.

"If you selfishly choose to stay at the school, do not feel bad! We are short on the gnomes recently and...well." She made a vague gesture, as going into the specifics of gnome creation is much too vulgar to simply say outright. "You will be of use, either way."

SILENT. HORROR.

"The mongrel will explain the rest."

"Thanks chief," Red replied, throwing the headmistress a lazy salute. She wasn't too thrilled about this. How come the students get to go on so many field trips? When she was attending school, she didn't get to go on nearly as much. It was one of the reasons she became a Bogeyman in the first place. She was quite fond of traveling, even if it was all for work and no play.

"Anyway. Each staff member is going to be in charge of a boat. Each of yas gets to be a captain, which means each of you get to drive one and no, Professor Savage, you may not sink one. We need these to get to the places all in one piece, which means no true forms. The boats'll be enchanted to prevent any student from trying this, though whether or not the enchantment works and keeps isn't my problem."

"Ship size and speed is all up to you. We'll be going to the dockyard to pick out ships soon, and yes, you do get to decorate it however you'd like. Yes, this means you do get to finally show us uncouth heathens the Right Way to to things, Ms. Winters." She rolled her eyes at the ettiquette teacher, ignoring her indignant look.

"And no, Blue, we are not sharing a boat. Each of us who volunteers to be a captain will, however, take on a Trick or Treater. It's their boy Nox out there, and I'd rather the Tee-oh-Tee-er be stuck entertaining the snots than us."

"The journey may or may not have some rough spots and events, but hey. That's how the trip's going to be entertaining, right? Each ship comes with a ship log. Record what happens to you here. Whoever gets the most interesting and dangerous of events'll get free drinks on me. Any questions?"

Malcolm just kept smiling throughout the whole meeting, sitting quietly in his chair, contented with just listening to what everyone had to say. It was his first staff meeting, after all, and the idea of a field trip only caused his smile to widen; just a few months into acquiring his teaching licence and he was allowed to bring the students out? Sounds like a plan to him! His boat would be grand as well - no fires, for obvious reasons, but Vlad would be going with him.

He raised an eye brow when Hellma mentioned that the students were 'treasured', but otherwise did and said nothing. He was actually glad that the students would be getting more training... From his own class, he realized that most of the students were rather weak and there's no better way to learn than some hands on training!

Of course, the fact that it would probably be a dangerous trip for his precious students was the last thing on his mind due to his excitement. That thought would probably hit much later... Probably when he's already on a boat in the middle of the ocean.

"Thank you very much for the briefing, headmistress and Ms Red," He nodded briefly at the werewolf, "However, what do you mean by taking a Trick or Treater on board? Sounds to me like just one more child to take care of... Not that I am against the idea, I suppose. Just wished to clarify..."

The horror was just too much to mention. Too much to think about.

Blue really, really disliked the sound of Headmistress Hellma's voice but after a single word from her he soon found himself tuning her voice out, trying to replace it with something a little more desirable. In fact, he disliked it so much, he'd rather listen to a gnome try and sing. He knew he should listen though, that eventually she might say something important so he tried, and he tried to listen to her talk but the more he tried, the more he heard and the more he wished a quick death from this horrible torment. The only consolation the demon got from listening to her was realizing he could be left, almost alone, on a boat of children. He had to wonder just what he had done to be rewarded so kindly. He could only wish Red would be joining him as well.

Hopes and dreams never seemed to last long though, and when his torment listening to Hellma was over, he was more than delighted to listen to Red. She had such a wonderful voice, and a wonderful face and a wonderful body and a wonderful growl. He could not imagine anything wrong, although she might not enjoy his so-called imagination. She was such a cruel, monster though. She shot him down before he had even had a chance to bring the idea up! It was all business though, right? They would have their own, private boat ride when the trip was over. He couldn't help but pout, just a little. Oh, he really wanted a boat ride with Red.

All the while though the voice of Hellma wouldn't leave his head, the thought of their precious students echoing in his mind. It wouldn't have been all that bad to think about children, but the sound of Hellma's voice nearly ruined it. Regardless, he couldn't help but wonder what a few particular protocols would be, and what exactly the students would be doing on this trip.

"What happens if say a student falls off the boat: would I be required to rescue them, or could we just see if they can swim? It sounds like a wonderful learning experience," that and Blue thought children looked absolutely precious when they were splashing around in the water, just having a good time. Precious, that's what Hellma had said - right? He imagined there would be no time for fun on this trip though.

"With taking a Trick or Treater on board: how responsible are we for the well-being of the Trick of Treaters?"

The professor couldn't help but wonder why exactly they were playing rescue mission but given the chance to drive a boat full of children was enough to keep that thought down for now. He found himself looking to Malcolm and his question, which happened to go nicely with his own. He didn't linger very long on him though, his eyes quickly falling back on Red. He wondered if he played a song, would she be able to hear him serenade her from his boat?

After knowing where you were going and how long it would take to capsize it with all the students aboard, the next important thing was to know what you were looking at encountering. Blue had spent a long time Over There in the past and depending where Over There they were going, it could be anything. "Do we have any idea what we will be looking at when we get over there?"

Cricket did not make faces. That was a bit too much effort on the nurse's 'give a damn-o-meter', but she certainly didn't seem to be too thrilled by the prospect of having to babysit. Her tastes weren't towards taking care of the students to a certain degree as-was, so the fact she was likely going to be stuck with a boat-full of them didn't really strike her as something she was too excited about.

Then again, the alternative probably would have had the school coming back to some slight carnage as well.

Goodie. Not to say Cricket really knew anything about boats other than the fact that Savage was going to try and take one down and swim around it's 'corpse', to say, with a sort of glee while her students went "8|" and were drenched. She could see how that was going to work out already and her brows furrowed together ever so slightly.

"The wellbeing of the students aside, will we just have students on our boats at random or ..." she trailed off, seeming to actually hesitate on finishing her statement to the fact that there was actually a student that had her interest. Not that who it was would have been surprising, however there was a certain interest she had in seeing the potential for FEAR healing in a particular Plague Doctor....

"Will they be sorted by interests. I would find this trip to be an interesting possibility on sorting talents out."

However, either which way, Cricket didn't really push herself on trying to get it set up that way. Whatever happened, happened and she'd be no worse for wear if she was just watching after a handful of brats... and a boat.

The boat's care would be questionable.

Success! Petrousek breathed easier that for once he wasn't tardy. He grinned to himself just before entering the room, when in the silence of the hallway he heard Arel's voice start.

He silently cursed as he slipped in knowing Helma would likely not be pleased by his tardiness, however so long as he managed to enter before her talking he'd not be as reprimanded. He dipped his head and tried to slip his tall scythe and self in quietly unnoticed. A word from our headmistress. He quietly settled himself down into a chair just before she began. Of the words that followed field trip dominated his mind. All thoughts of the troubled he'd get in fro being late were silenced. An outing away from the school. New plants would likely be everywhere. 'Would they be exotic? Mini-pet like plants? Or would they be similar to those found locally, or even similar to the crossworlds.' At Mongrel Cadmus fell back into the meeting in thought.

He'd missed the rest of what the headmistress had said. He frowned and glanced at Red as she began. Red made him think of fire. It's deadly red glow that hungered for food devouring plants. He shuddered at the sad thought. Poor plants' He then returned to the meeting in thought. Size ans speed is up to all you was where he stumbled back in thought wise. He frowned when she mentions Ms. Winters, he was unfamiliar with the woman, though he was not surprised. He lost track of who was faculty now days and who wasn't. He knew Malcolm, Cricket, Red, Helma, Audley, and he was sure their were a few other.... "Arel duh...' Deep in though he mumbled a soft set or fu fu fu's digging to find who else he knew but the knowledge was eluding him. He frowned having gone of thought again and came back to to hear free drinks and any questions.

As other began to ask questions he frowned knowing he'd missed a couple things but they'd come around, he'd heard them just couldn't recall them at current. They would resurface come time, just not on demand. He rolled an unlit cigarette between his index finger and thumb gently. He would focus he was sure of it, he'd make himself focus. A Trick or Treater on board, at least the students wouldn't be bored. He shrugged at it seemed fine to him. Ten it was brought up a student falling overboard. Cadmus arched an eyebrow at that, why in jack's name would the student go overboard Obviously an absurd student to do such a thing. It would make sense then to let them swim, it being obvious that they wanted to swim in the first place. His interested particularly perked when the question was asked what they would be looking at once over there. His right hand drifted up in a casual motion."I second Blue's question, and raise it in curiosity as to if we'll be allowed to bring back souvenirs."

Red scratched her temple, her hood sliding up slightly as she stared at Professor Malcolm. "Well, there is that," she conceded, "But like can entertain like, yes? The Trick or Treaters can fend for themselves, however I'm looking forward to having one on board as much as you are." Not that she currently didn't mind some of the other 'Treaters popping up and around, she suspected Nox was still irked with her that she chose to pursue a career as a Bogeyman rather than as a Tricker.

And then Blue spoke up. Did she really have to answer him? Arel was feigning interest in his cleaning bills, and Red didn't want to bother looking at Hellma. She sighed. "Yes Blue," that was probably the only time he would ever hear those words, "You are expected to rescue them. You could even just through a life safer at them and see if they can swim by hanging onto that, I don't care. Just... Just get them back on the boat somehow, preferably in one piece."

"Otherwise, a Trick or Treater can handle themselves. Give assistance as you see fit, or not." She certainly wasn't going to.

Glad to no longer be answering Blue (and by extension, talking to him) Red turned her attention to Cricket. "I'm afraid the method students will be assigned to boats is still being determined," she said regretfully, "What with someone stealing the dartboard and all that was used to determined the seating assignments for the trip to Christmastown. This time, we will only be taking Amityville Academy students."

She was about to settle back in her chair when Professor Cadmus spoke up. "Yes, yes you can if you can carry them," she answered. "Anyone else?"

Professor Caelum, sitting on Arel's other other left side, twitched in a rather obsessive-compulsive fashion as some of the secretary's papers came tumbling down at around the career counselor's feet. He gave Arel a hasty look, but the secretary seemed to not notice, or perhaps just not give a damn.

"Wait didn't we just discuss yesterday how the boats are going to-" Hellma gave him a dismissive look. He shut up immediately, meekly looking left and right to see if anyone else would fill in his sentence. Noone really cared, much. "Yes, um, well, last time on the Christmas train cars, we ran into several incidents." The last word was said with much exaggeration. "Will we be given protection or anything against this problem again, or any potentials ones really, especially considering ahh.. our 'luggage' on board?"

After awhile, Hellma's expression grew grimmer and grimmer, as if she had just realized something to her own great displeasure.

"Questions...do I pay you to sit around the table asking them stupidly?"

To her growing frustration, a number of staff members actually paused to really give that some thought. In their defense, it was because several weren't actually sure they ever got paid at all.
