Thank you, so far so good. Although my mom kicked my boyfriend out last night because she stole $600 from me and he called her out on it. So now I have to do all of the packing myself but we're only taking 2 checked bags and 2 carry on bags each, so it's mostly just deciding what to take and what to leave behind. The worst part is going to be rounding the cat up and getting her in her carrier, I can handle everything else.

>_> that still sounds pretty hard to do all by yourself though. Then again at least its only a few bags. As for your kitty cat, that sounds like it's gonna be a bit stressful for everyone. hopefully she'll take flying all right.

@zombies: After talking to the vet due to her age we have decided that benadryl is the way to go rather than a tranquilizer, so hopefully that keeps her calm enough on the plane. I am also shipping all of my fish and my tortoise but that should be pretty easy.
@Queen: I'm moving to Florida because we have an apartment there and the bf has a good job. I also have a prospective job working with large reptiles and that would be amazing. My boyfriend didn't steal the money, my mom did. She was supposed to use it to pay off a bill and she supposedly did but I am still getting calls from them saying they haven't received payment when she "paid" it almost a month ago.

I couldn't even dream of leaving my pets behind in this hellhole. I have a russian tortoise who is almost 3 years old and 2 bristlenose plecos, 1 keyhole cichlid, 1 german blue ram, 1 marbled hatched, 3 rummynose tetras, 4 red eye tetras and 1 apple snail. When we get there I will also have a pond and I am hoping to be able to put axolotls in there, but we'll see. Annd we might get a dog.

:3 Thanks! We're probably gonna adopt, so I think that it'll be much easier to find a dog that fits in perfectly with us.
And in case you were curious, this is my Lazy:

No problem, I love showing off my baby. She's my pride and joy. I am SO worried about shipping her on Monday. Not worried that she'll die or anything, because RTs are pretty hardy, but I'm scared to death that something will go wrong and they'll lose her or send her back here. They have a very long life span and I purchased with the intention of having her around for most of the rest of my life, so I don't know what I'll do if anything happens to her...
We believe in adopting or buying from a reputable breeder. This will be my first dog and I really want to adopt. My favorite dogs are papillons and there is a pap rescue 40mins away from where we'll be, however, they are very expensive and I don't really have any solid vet references, so we will probably just go with our town's rescue and get something like a German Shepherd mix. We have a big fenced in yard and I'll have a lot of free time. The dog has to get along with cats, other dogs (and be able to keep up with Blue, the resident dog.) and small children, so that's a tall order.
