Welcome to the Abysmal Haven Where all your dreams and nightmares may come true!
Tavern: The tavern is housed in the ruins of an ancient castle. The black marble walls have been rebuilt, and the towers once more stand lost in the night sky. The gates of the castle have been thrown open, and all are welcome inside its warm halls.
The tavern has a large door that seems to be made of ancient red oak. If someone were to stand and study the door, they would find detailed carvings of dragons and epic battles long forgotten by the human race. If one were to step inside of the tavern, they would find themselves embraced by the soft flickering light of torches. The main room of the tavern is dominated by a large black marble table with nine different thrones around it. If they could tear their gaze from the table, they would see a large room with a black marble bar that wraps around half the room, starting at the south wall right next to the entrance and ending at the northwest corner of the room. Behind the bar sits a suit of black armor which the castle animates in order to tend the bar when the need arises. Black marble tables are strewn about the room, encircled in thrones, though none as large or as grand as the main table. They would also see a large fireplace that takes about half of the east wall; surrounding it are many different types of couches that one could lounge upon. If they looked up, they would be able to make out the shadows of rafters in the darkness behind the enchantment placed on the ceiling. If they stared long enough, they might be able to make out a few tables here and there on platforms in the rafters. If one turned their gaze to the north, they would find it lined with nine thrones set upon a dais, mirroring the thrones around the main table. Looking around the tavern, they would see many tapestries and suits of armor that bore the Forsworn family crest. In the northeast corner of the room, they would see a grand staircase leading to the upper levels and rooms for the guests of the tavern.
Castle: Outside the comfort of the tavern, the castle is dark, cold and unforgiving. If one wanders long enough, they will never find their way out of the maze. The castle seems to have a soul intent on keeping its many secrets. However, if one were to take the right path, they may find themselves fortunate enough to stand before one of a few favored places. The first is an enchanted forge that the master of the castle himself runs. The second is the hall of warriors, a place where the great heroes of times long past rest until the day the world has need of them once more. The third is the throne room, which has a door leading to the master bedroom, where the master and mistress of the castle often retire for the night. The fourth is a room sealed by many different and ancient magics, guarded by the armies of the castle as well as the dragons that make the upper towers their home. This room holds the portal that leads to the master's home realm. Be advised that, however tempting, wandering the castle is discouraged for the many dangers it presents.
Description of the surrounding area: Within the southeast corner of the castle's outer walls, one would find a small cherry blossom orchard beside a small pond and waterfall. The pond feeds into a small creek that runs its way to the northeast corner of the castle and, from there, into a channel that feeds into the lake. The castle is surrounded by a large forest to the west and south, to the east an inland sea known as the Moonless Lake. To the north lay the Shadow Mountains; in the dead of night, the wind will sometimes bring the voices of dragons.

Arrea entered the castle grounds, her horse jerked and complained from exhaustion. She had rushed him for the majority of the journey from the Elven Domain to the haven, even though it had been a short trip he had been unable to handle the pace that she set. She dismounted, holding his reins as she guided him to the tavern entrance. Arrea placed him out of the way, fastening him to a tree so that he wouldn't wander. He had a bad habit of doing that. It took her days to find him the last time he had went off on his own, what he was searching for she'd never know.
She made her way to the tavern door, admiring the carvings of dragons before she entered. Arrea had never seen this place before, it was simply breath taking. Vampires enjoyed luxury and it was in abundance here; she specifically took a liking to the marble counter tops. The fire place flickered with warmth and illuminated the space with a welcoming glow. She stood next to it now; feeling the heat but even this was unable to quell the icy temperature of her flesh. Arrea turned her head, it was unusually quite for a tavern. Her voice interrupted the silence, "Hello. I'm assuming someone's here. If not I'll just go find another tavern with pleasurable company." She smirked at her own joke.

The massive black fox wandered towards the castle, the piercing silver eyes flashing back and forth as it made its way through the forest. The silver streaks in the black coat of the fox looked liked quicksilver flowing over obsidian. The fox stopped at the draw bridge and looked around, sniffing the air for a moment it tilted its head to the side for a moment. It recognized the scents from within the castle walls.
As the great black fox made its way into the courtyard of the castle it turned to sniff the air once more, it could smell the cherry blossoms. That made the fox happy, it had not had the pleasure of smelling such a thing for a long time. The fox's nine tails, tipped with silver fur and bound in silver rings so that they seemed like one large tail, swished back and forth happily as it started for the door to the castle.
Pawing at the door the fox pushed it open, it then slipped inside and made its way to the fireplace and lounge area with out a second thought. The fox made no sound as it moved through the maze of tables and chairs. The tails bound as one continued to swish back and forth as it laid down in front of the fire place, it seems like it belonged there and had always been there.
The fox had one silver eye open and was watching the women, she smelled like a vampire. But then again that was not very strange, all manner of races were attracted to the power of this place. He wondered if she would even notice him, he allowed his size to shrink so that he was about the size of a wolf.

Arrea caught the scent of the fox, her sense of smell wasn't quite what it used to be. She must be getting along in her old age, which wasn't exactly that old but she felt every seconds of it. The test of time still held consequences for the immortals--perhaps it was only the accursed that felt this. She turned her gaze toward the fireplace, sitting at the hearth was a fox that she remembered all to well. Her heart of stone had a soft spot for him.
"Well, hi there. Do you remember me?" She bent down onto one knee, hovering over him she began to pet him. Arrea ran her fingers through his thick, mane of fur. The beautiful colors still vibrant as the day she had first seen him. The midnight black fur had a bright sheen to it and the silver that streaked across his body was radiant against the dim lighting of the flames. He had obviously been well cared for. "You like to run off on your own, it's not like you belong to me but that doesn't mean you couldn't have stopped by for a visit." She smiled, still stroking his fur. "You're almost as bad as my horse. You just crave adventure." His silver eyes struck a core deep within her.

The fox seemed to smile and nod to her in response to her question, when she started to pet him he nuzzled her hand softly then licked it. Rolling over onto his back so she could scratch his tummy, Oni always enjoyed a belly rub when in his fox form. His ears twitched and moved a little as if he heard something a little ways a way then they seemed to focus back on her. It seemed like he was waiting for her to fill him in on what happened.

Arrea quietly laughed as he rolled over onto his back. She moved her hand and began to rub his belly, occasionally applying her nails--gently of course, she didn't want to draw blood. "It's been so long since I've seen you last. A lot has happened since then. I'm surprised to see you in a place like this. I was able to sense your presence but I wasn't sure if it was the same fox." She shifted her knee out from under her, using her hand to balance herself until she sat comfortably on the floor. "Once you lead me to earth I eventually forced to join a covenant, you know like a group of vampires. I'm sure you're already aware of the deal I made prior to you guiding me. I made a few friends in the coven and I was actually rather happy with them. I felt normal and welcome for once; however," she continued,"Lucifer appeared before me and wanted the payment for the deal. He said that he needed three souls and he wanted the souls of my friends." The memories were still fresh in her mind, "I had to offer them the abilities he gave me and of course they accepted them, what fools they had been. They had been so easily swayed by power and after the first taste they wanted more. They planned to over throw the leader of the coven and of course he found out. Some of us managed to escape.'' She remembered the hiding and the feasting of the random humans. It was like a sick game of the lottery, you smelled pleasing and you died. Most of the people had been innocent, some had been children. "We managed to find this place and now we're forced to live underground, like we're vermin or something." She sighed, "It's rather depressing."

The fox seemed to purr softly as she rubbed his belly, his eyes watching her as he listened to her story. When she was done he rolled over and stood pushing his head against her forehead he nuzzled her a little. Then he pushed forward forcing her to lay down and he laid down on the lower half of her body. He was acting like a large fuzzy blanket, Oni nuzzled her trying to give her some form a comfort. After all he had helped her before why not help her again. And besides she was a very attractive women and he was a rather lusty Astral Fox.
As he laid on top of her Oni placed his head on her torso so his muzzle was between her breasts. He nuzzled her affectionately to both comfort her and enjoy himself as much as he could.

Arrea had become sullen in her dark mood, the past usually did that to her. Her hair fell around her face, covering her eyes as he pressed his head against hers. She was suddenly pushed back onto the floor, she let out a yelp of surprise, vampires weren't supposed to yelp..it was very unbecoming of the Empress. Her surprised changed to anger which quickly subsided. The floor was warm to the touch from the heat of the fire combined with the fur of Oni made it a rather comfy place to relax. She let her hands relax on her stomach.
He had another surprise in store for her. Almost like a dog or a cat craving attention, he weaseled his way under her arms, and sure enough she was looking into his silver eyes. His noise pressed against her cleavage; she couldn't tell if he was being playful or if something else was going on... "You're more playful than I thought you were," she laughed at this. He had help shake off the feeling of dread that had threatened to overcome her. She began to scratch behind his ears. "You're such a good boy. Yes, you are."

The fox seemed to smile at her as a playfully dark look flashed into his silver eyes, a moment later it was gone, but it was more the look a man gives a woman than a fox being playful. When she started to scratch him behind the ears he nuzzled her hand as well as nuzzle deeper into her cleavage. Oni was truly enjoying himself. When she called him a good boy, he slipped his act of just being a fox. His mind touched her's just briefly enough for her to hear, 'I'm more than a boy...Much more,' then his mind was closed again as he nuzzled against her then licked her cheek but managed to get more of her ear.

Arrea was enjoying herself, it was rare to find something so innocent and adorable in a place such as this. A strange look flashed across Oni's face and just as quickly as it had appeared it was gone. She wasn't sure if she was imaging things. Shape shifters existed in this realm but if he had been one he would have had a different scent. His aroma was that of a fox and a hint of cherry blossoms. Arrea hesitated, stopping her display of affection. She thought she heard a voice, it sounded like it belonged to a man.
She leaned her head back against the floor so that she could view the bar, even from a reversed view she should see someone's legs...but there was no one. She then felt a hot and moist sensation as Oni's tongue brushed against her face and ear. She gasped as she felt his breath against her skin. "Hey, hold on a second." Arrea shifted so that Oni was in her lap and she was sitting upright. She glared at him, "Just what are you? You just said something," she was sure of it.

The fox seemed to smile at her again, this smile held no innocence at all. He then tilted his head to the side to regard her as if he did not understand, she had ruined his comfortable and slightly naughty nuzzling.
The fox then got up and sat on his hunches still watching her, Oni shook his head at her and let out a sigh. He knew he had made the mistake of touching her mind. But he figured he could have a little more fun with her than just coming out right with what he was.
Oni stood on all fours and nipped at her leg softly, he wanted her to follow him outside. Tugging on her pants he pulled her towards the door for a moment before letting go and dashing off. He was like a black shadow as he darted between the tables and then outside towards the cherry blossom grove. If she was quick enough she would see him disappear into the grove, the shadows of the grove hiding him from view, as well as seeming to cling to his dark shape as he darted deeper into the grove.

Watching all of this take place from his Victorian style leather chair Adamaeis smiled, silently enjoying the company of having others within these vast halls once again. After a moment he sat up from his lounging position to find that his silverwood cane that had been leaning on the chair (or so he thought) moments before was not there. He had been sitting there for hours mostly conscious, though there were a few instances where moments had passed while he was unaware somewhere between dreaming.
Immediately he rose with slight alarm, knowing that in the wrong hands it could prove fatal to one that did not know how to wield it. Scanning the surrounding area Adamaeis failed to find the cane, even kneeling down to get a different prospective refuse to turn anything up. In a flash he scurried around the room looking almost everywhere for his possession, if one were to walk in they might of thought he were a mad man for his demeanor was frantic.
