As a result of accidental exposure to an experimental mutagen in an event known as the Big Bang, many kids gained a wide variety of mutations and abilities, termed "Bang Babies", many of whom use their abilities in selfish, harmful, and even criminal ways.

Or, you know, they could be Heroes. Whatever floats their boat.

The Big Bang

There was a meet up of a bunch of gangs, plenty of shady kids and whatnot. Then there were people nearby, or people that were dragged into it for whatever reason. Experimental mutagen escapes, Bada-Boom Bada-Bang, Super Powers!

So then you have your good guys and your bad guys. And there's some fighting, and all that basic stuff.

Crash Course for Baddies:

1. Power in numbers. Make gangs. Go it alone, and other baddies'll get you.
2. Goody-Two shoes heroes are your enemy, and should be treated accordingly.
3. Do whatever you want. Who's going to stop you? [ See #2 for details]
4. But don't betray your gang.

Being a Hero, and All it Entails:

1. Power in numbers. You've got to have a partner if you can!
2. That being said, you gotta make yourself known as the best superhero in town!
3. But not your real self. Hide your identity, or you and your family and friends could be in danger.
4. Fight crime! It's your duty! With great power comes great responsibility.

You Do Realize There's More Rules Than That, Right?

1. Follow all that stuff in the guild rules and Gaia TOS and 'Basic Gaian RP Rules'!
2. Whew, rule one really covers most of everything...
3. Well, you can have any sort of power imaginable, so go nuts!

5. I don't want any characters significantly more powerful than the others, so everyone'll be pretty evenly matched -basically battles can go either way-
6. I want this RP to be crazy and really fun! So, if you're a bad guy, feel free to come up with tons of plans. Rob banks out the wazoo! Kidnap important people! I don't care, just make it interesting! As long as no one ends up complaining about you being a little too crazy, it's all good.

Gender: Female
Age: 19
Power: Enhanced strength.
Affiliation: Good, and she has yet to get herself a partner in...virtue?
Bio: Renka was watching her younger sibling in a park, and said park was said to have numerous gangs around it, many of which were known throughout the city that she lived in. Before she could even blink, her sister was gone and she felt a sting of a dart hit her back. This dart, which was experimental at the time, was shot by one of the gang members that lived near her home. And they thought that since they got their hands on these "drugs", that they should "try" it on someone else to see what happens. Well, Renka fell unconscious, her sister finding her and bringing her back home. When she woke up the next morning, she felt a bit light headed and had trouble walking around. She didn't notice that when ever she grabbed something, like say, metal, it bent and nearly broke. Her younger sister had to tell her about it before she realized what she had done. Renka and her sister decided to keep Renka's new found "ability" a secret from everyone, including their parents.
Well, that is until her sister was found dead due to a gang shooting. Renka's innocent, little sister had been caught in the cross fire of a territory war, and that shook Ren to the bone. So she got her family's sword, which had been passed down their family since their ancestors in Japan, and left the house. And just because Renka, a scrawny looking girl, picked up the sword, which must have weighed over a ton, surprised her parents. Renka then went on to get revenge on her sister's death by taking down the gangs by her home one by one. Eventually, her once pure black hair was stained red, though she never cut anyone down, as her ancestors would say.
Because of what the gangs did to her sister, Renka vowed on her sister's spirit that she would use her powers for good. Especially since now her parents wouldn't want her back at home after they saw her nearly rip out the door and took off with the family sword. From that day, Renka was known simply as "Broadsword" because of the sword that she carried with her. Most would think that because of Renka's hero name, she would be a man, but she often loves to see the faces of those she meets when she tells them that she is actually Broadsword.
Personality: Normally, Renka is very sarcastic and is very blunt when she speaks, after all, she doesn't care if someone ends up hating her for the truths that she says. And Renka might not look it, but she is very intelligent and pretty patient as well, also, Renka can be very short tempered if you push her buttons right. And because of her strength, it's normally a good thing to not piss her off to much, or else you'll end up with a hole right through your stomach, or something. But, once you get to know Renka, she can turn out to be a good friend, and a great ally to have.

Bio: Amaya was hanging out with her friends nearby when someone took her friend's bag. Enraged, Amaya chased after the thief, who was using the area where the Big Bang happened as a short cut to get away from her. By the time she had almost caught the thief, the Big Bang occurred just a few hundred feet away from her and knocked the girl into a dark building, where she believes the darkness manifested into her powers.
Personality: Amaya is very sweet and brave. She will protect anyone she can and does not take lightly to being a hero, she knows what's at stake. Amaya is not out there for the glory or fame, merely to save lives and keep order in her city.

Gender: Female
Age: 15
Power: She has the ability to morph through walls which somehow contobuted to her amazing agility skills.
Affiliation: Good, though she works alone for now since she know noone who also holds this 'curse'. Shes good hearted person, she didn't really think of the option of being bad.
Bio: Kezziah has no father and she lives with her twin brother and mother, who she rarely sees. To help out her mother she posauded as local coffee shop to hire her to work and get paid.
It was just a normal day, she'd been working all day since it was a weekend and was making her way home, slowly as ushall. She knew the parks where dangerous but nothing had ever happend to her. On that day it was gloomy, how ironic, and then a flash happend.
Kezziah doesn't really remember much else appart from awaking in hospital, and freaking out since she didn't know where she was.
Finding out her powers in the strangest of ways, such as waking up and falling throw the celing and landing on the kitchen table, luckily noone knows. Though apparently she wasn't the only one caut in the 'big bang'
Personality: Kezziah ushally is happy, easily to annoy and witty at times. She likes to think of herself as different, even though she knows shes just like everybody else... Okay, well not now.

Name: Alfred Chen
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Power: Sound generation and manipulation
Affiliation: Good
Bio: Alfred was on his way home from working on his science experiment which involved a prototype sonic emitter. He had been working with his professor late into the day on building a miniature and less powerful version of the ones used by more industrial companies. He had brought the power source with him when he passed the area where the big bang occurred due to deciding to take a shortcut home. Exposed to the gas, he left the area as quickly as he could and ran home.

Exhausted from the ordeal he went straight to sleep, however in the middle of the night he was awakened by indistinguishable sounds. Opening his eyes he looked outside and found no one about and the noise disappeared. Although the sounds did not manifest again during the night he still wondered what had caused them. By the next morning however, the sounds had gone and he believed it all a dream.

Once at school however things went from bad to worse when the local bullies decided to target him that day. Somehow he managed to catch word of their plan and managed to escape avoiding them as if he could track where they were going. The next day though he was cornered and pushed into an alley between the school buildings. Demanding protection money he said no. After a punch to the stomach he was held against the wall. Demanding once more if he would comply he shouted at the top of his lungs to leave him alone. To his surprise and to the bullies his voice sounded as if it had passed through a megaphone and had deafened their ears. Hoping to drive them off he shouted once more causing the glass above to shatter and shower them with shards. Frightened out of their wits, the bullies left him. He then acknowledged his new powers to be a blessing in disguise. Taking on the alias of Wavelength, he resolved to use his powers to help others.

Personality: Alfred is a cautious and patient individual. He likes to try to turn situations in his favor by using his surroundings to his advantage whenever possible. He is bright and usually down to earth. A musician at heart, he has a love for many types of music. His favorites being jazz, country, classical and soft rock since he finds them to be the most harmonic.

Name: Angelus Delphin Slate
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Power: His cat, Nero, flies and can extend its tail, which can do all sorts of slashing and breaking. And Crescent has sort of enhanced feline-ish abilities. He has cat-like reflexes and is abnormally agile.
Affiliation: Black Corbies
Bio: Angelus grew up normal, in an orphanage. Okay, maybe not that normal. Anyways, he was out late on the night of the big bang and he saw a cat run by. He chased after and grabbed it just as the explosion happened. When he woke up, it was like he and Nero were one, and he could control the cat. He didn't want to go back where her came, so he wandered, then poof found the Corbies, and here he is.
Personality: He can sometimes be a bit hard on others and impatient, and really doesn't tend to like to be around anyone but Nero.

Gender: Male
Age: 15
Power: He can controll // manipulate this black goo. Not sure what it is yet but so you know, its thicker than water. Slightly sticky and heavy.
Affiliation: Bad, he sees his power as a new race. That to rule, or just to get what he wants. He works alone for now, though will probably happily work with those as strong as he is.
Bio: He is Kezziahs twin, therefore he lives together with her. Though he did not do the same as she did and get a job, it doesn't mean he doesn't care. He is not 'black' hearted, he just lacks emotion in the love department.
He isn't in a gang, though that doesn't stop him hanging out near them.
He got caut in the 'big bang' by coisidence. Though he woke before the others, he got home alone and soon after descovered the full effects of the 'bang'
Personality: He mostly does not care, sees no need to. And when he does care, he still shows nothing. Though hes not emotionless, when angered he is violent and will take action.

Name: Malcom Kripke
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Power: Kinetic Absorption/Redistribution - Any object in motion that comes into contact with Motor, he can absorb the energy that propels it, store it within himself for a limited time, and distribute it through himself at the same strength. In short; a bullet strikes Motor, it stops as it touches him, then falls to the ground, and the next thing he strikes it hit with the same amount of force.
Affiliation: Bad, currently a loner, but seeking to unite all villains under one banner
Bio: Malcom's father was a psychiatrist, and dealt heavily in the mentality of the criminally insane. As such, Malcom himself would often read up on his father's research books and study material. When the event known as The Big Bang occured, Malcom himself was observing a particularly brutal example of gang violence. Perhaps this, coupled with the event that mutated his DNA, is what caused his mind to plunge into the depths it now resides - feeling himself a master of the criminal mind, and with the powers he's gaine, he's developed a grand, delusional sense that it's his fate to unite all of the Bang Babies into one unstoppable force. And those that refuse this 'destiny' he forsees, he sees as enemies of his vision. Currently, he's simply scouting out others like him, and observing which would be best.
Personality: Malcom has almost completely abandoned his former identity, and walks the streets as Motor, seeking those who believe, as he believes, that his is the future species, and that all other 'Bang Babies' are destined to become the future of mankind. He's cruel and calculating, yet clever and charismatic. In combat, he often breaks down an enemy's mentality, and turns their beliefs and ideals against them, contorting them to suit his own means. He's cold as ice, and dead crazy on top of it.

Affiliation: Badie - She'll fly solo until she meets someone
Bio: Roaran had always been the kindah girl to get herself into deep troubles. Now of course, this was mainly because both ehr parents were from jailies and her siblings were mafia bosses (or atleast wanted to be.). Roaran had it easy; Nice home, loving and perfect family (for her), two wonderful dogs, yadda-yadda. Was she happy? No. Was she entertained? H3LL no. So, all in all, once she hit the right age and size, she started fighting and recording fights between gangs and solo wanna-be's.

Of course, one day, during a shoot out between cops and some low-down gang, she just had to video tape the scene. Roaran was positioned up upon a rooftop (where she is normally found at any time of day) with ehr camera in hand, recording every juicy fight scene possible to muster into that measly cam-corder. Now, when the shock went off,it jammed with her camera - and the images. Every single image - dog, car, plant, person, speck of dirt, etc - was embedded into dear ol' Roaran's DNA. Now, all she has to do to gain more images to shapeshift herself into, is memorize every single detail - from freckle to untied shoelace.

Now, seh goes out and does whatever trouble she can do, and wants to do, just to entertain herself. When she does, she "molds" her face to look like she has absolutely no features. Every nwo and then she'll add random stitches to her body, just for the fun of it.

Personality: Headstrong, Artistic, Blunt, Innocently Honest, Childish, Goof Ball, Intelligant, Thoughtful, Caring, Honorable, Loyal, Independant, Lonesome. She also tends to keep to herself; She doesn't quite like people..

Crescent paced the fourth story floor restlessly. Nero sat practically attacked to his shoulder. "Why did they have to leave me behind? 'Watch the hideout' my butt." Nero's tail, a normal length for now, swished, and his manner seemed to chastise Crescent. It was, after all, his turn to stay behind while they went out of town. "Hmm, what to do...." he trailed off as he stopped next to the window. "We'll go out on our own, huh, Nero?" He jumped out of the broken window, and as he did Nero locked onto his back and skeleton wings sprouted from his back and he glided to the ground. He started off in the direction of some bank or another- he wasn't sure which.

Kezziah walked out from her work place, stretching her arms above her head.
"Ah~ Finally done for the day" she said to herself happily as she relaxed again. 'Now what do i do?' she thought contemplating going somewhere to practise her powers since it wsa only lunch time so her brother and mother should be out.
Instead she walked down the road looking upwards at the sky, squinting in the mild sunlight.
Something caut her eye, it was a boy, quite far infront of her but he was heading towards her. There was something on his back she couldn't quite see, she stopped and stared at him confussed slightly by his apperance.

Crescent wondered absently whether he should fly or not, but Nero suggested he save their energy, and he had to agree. His eyes focused ahead of him and he stopped in the middle of the sidewalk as he spotted the girl watching him. She must recognize me, right? Nero, rather than sink back to help Crescent stay 'incognito', rose his head over the boy's shoulder as if in a challenge. "You waiting for something?"

Kezziah looked at the boy as he notised her finally, 'Crap. What the hell am i doing' she thought to herself confussed of why he facinated her so much.
When she saw the creature from behind the boy raise up she had a gut feeling that that wasn't good.
"What are you?" she asked, not in fear but in curiosity.

This is why Bang Babies don't hang around normals... Nero's tail flicked. "This strange creature you see before you is a boy." But he knew that note in her voice and wanted to show off. "And this is Nero," he said, standing up straighter as Nero's wings extended into the air behind him.

"Your- ..." she started before compleetly changing her tone of voice, "Damn. So your also a strange little child" she stated to him, hinting towards her lack of normal, though she didn't know if he'd get that. "So your like cat man?" she mused at him, not in a mockery but as a statment of facts.
"What else can you do other than the obious?" she asked intreeged in what he was like, since he was the first other person she'd met.

His reflex was to keep walking, but he was curious. "Wouldn't you know it to be obvious I'm not going to tell you?" Nero's paws pushed into his head.
