Upon entering the doors to the castle, one would step into the foyer. A giant chandelier hangs above, attempting to balance the surrounding dark elements. Again gothic architecture is the main theme of the room. Several dark, oak doors line the walls some of them leading nowhere and some of them leading to places visitors shouldn’t stray to.
The door to the left leads to a separate entrance of the foyer, a far less grand version but very few are permitted into this area. The room seems to be pulled out of a history book, simple but elegant in its own way. Through this area there are three options; continue to the courtyard, climb the small staircase to the castle walls—which will guide appropriate personal to the guard towers, and finally a dark door that is bolted shut, this leads to the catacombs and can only be accessed with a key.
The door to the right leads to a spiral staircase that connects the first floor to the second floor. The second floor houses all of the bedrooms for the vampires. It is advised not to enter unless proper consent is awarded.
Black, iron candle holders reach the tops of the doors, illuminating the bottom portion of the foyer with an eerie glow. The light is reflected from the marble tiles upon the floor, almost giving the room a presence of its own. A deep, red rug stretches across the floor and along the center of the stairs, guiding visitors into safety—this leads to the throne room and dining room.
