Erynion was crouched low in the field, eyes focusing on the butterfly flitting from flower to flower in front of him. He would get this one. He was sure of it and then he would make it tell him the secrets a butterfly holds. He shuffled lightly, getting his position correct, making an awful lot of noise. The butterfly sensed the movement and flittered off just as Ery pounced.
Rolling over, Ery blew the hair from in front of his eyes and sighed, staring up at the sky. Maybe he would never be king of the butterflies. Maybe he'd never have a queen. Maybe he wasn't really a butterfly, afterall. His wings twitched underneath him as if in reassurance and he smiled softly. He was only young who knew what the future would hold?

She was free again! what adventures could she hold this time when her siblings weren't following her around? She just knew that today she'd find something to do.. it may be a wondrous quests like in the tales her grandfather told but then again it could be nothing more than just finding some sort of new area she hadn't seen yer. Her spotted coat decorated her in a rainbow of colors as she happily pranced off on her own to discover something new and interesting.

Erynion flopped onto his tummy and watched a filly prance through the field. She was cute and seemed nice enough, but she wasn't a butterfly and so he was a little reluctant to talk to her. It was how he was, he was shy when it came to non-butterflies. Sure, he'd warm up to them eventually, but it'd take a while and he wasn't the type to make the first move.
He fluttered his wings lightly and frowned. Then again, it would be rude to just sit here and stare. He was better than that, anyway. Perhaps desperate times called for desperate measures.
Erynion stood carefully and took a few steps forward. "H-Hey.." He called, nervously, wanting to duck back down the moment the words escaped his mouth. This could only end badly, he was sure of it.

She stopped at the sound of the voice. Slowly looking around she wondered who had spoken till her eyes fell upon a colt off in the near distance. A smile that glittered delight in her eyes beamed on her face as she turned and half pranced, half trotted towards him. "Hi!" She said with a small giggle. "You looking for interesting new things out here too?" It was then that her eyes fell on his wings. She's never seen butterfly wings on another soquili before. Was this what her grandfather's fables dragons looked like? She didn't think this would be a correct assumption. Stepping closer, her curiosity and short attention span got the better of her as she reached her neck out and softly nosed at his wings. What were these interesting appendages?

Erynion smiled at her as friendly as possible, though he was sure it came off as a little bit awkward.
"I'm looking for butterflies."
He watched her trot over and assumed she just got tired of yelling for him to hear. Except she didn't stop, she came right at him and started nosing at his wings. He fluttered them and laughed. They sure were ticklish.
"H-Hey.." he breathed out in between laughs and giggles. "S-Stop that."
He rolled back and away from her, catching his breath his cheeks red from laughing. "What the heck. You sure are friendly."

She blinked as he giggled and laughed. Were these really ticklish? As he moved away she watched his wings intently for a moment before looking back at him. "Butterflies? OH! I love those! they're fun to watch!" She giggled some and nodded at his remark of her being friendly. "I guess I can be a bit friendly... Knuckle headed and short attention spanned if you ask my brother." She gave a small laugh. she got along well with her siblings after all, what better play mates could a foal have than the ones she'd been given by her parents?

Erynion smiled at the girl in front of him. While she was a little.. forward.. she seemed nice enough and loved butterflies which was always a plus. He shook his head.
"I'm the same, so it's not a bad thing, I assure you. Who wants to pay attention to the same sing all the time? You'll miss out on so much."
Standing up, Ery fluttered his wings and smiled down at the foal. "My name's Erynion. It's very nice to meet you."

"Erynon, EErineeon?" The name sounded a bit off as she attempted to repeat it. After a few more attempts at it she settled for just shortening it. "I'll just call you Eryn if you don't mind.. I'm Tian, but you could call me Tia for short. I was looking for a quest or rewally anything new and interesting... What are those though?" She pointed at his wings with her nose. "I've never seen any others with those before.. do they hurt?"

Erynion gave a little nod. "Eryn is fine. I'll call you Tia."
He tilted his head, watching her cautiously. "A quest? What kind of quest?" A breeze rolled past and his wings fluttered with it. He giggled as she poked his wings again. "They're my wings. They don't hurt but they sure are ticklish."

"Yes a quest!" She giggled and forgot his wings again for the moment. "My grandfather tells the best stories about quests, knights, and other sorts of things." She beamed brightly. "So I thought I'd find my own and then tell him all about it when I go to see him again." She had a brife moment where she posed all brave and knightly like. "The game's Prot the Gallant!" She giggled once more, dancing in place before looking at his wings in wonder. "Oh.. They sure are nice.. I didn't know soquili could have wings.. well I guess maybe It was possible.. Just.. you're the first I've seen who has them." She settled back to standing still. "I'm sorry if I was too intrusive though.." It was a slight change, a more demure side to her that leaked out of her for a moment.
((prot's her alter ego lol long story hahaha))

Ery laughed at Tia's antics. "I'd love to hear a story of adventure! Or perhaps go on my own." He sighed dreamily. "The butterflies I could meet." He wiggled awkwardly, not sure what to say. "You weren't intrusive, Tia. I'm just nervous meeting new soquilli."

"Oh... You're shy??" She blinked a few times. She met a shy filly once. It didn't take long and she and the other filly were running a muck and having fun. "Would... Would you like to seek an adventure with me?" Her ears flicked forward, perked in her excitement of a possible companion. What ever his answer, she was determined to find something fun to do today. He was an interesting soquili.. hopefully he'd join in on the game.

Ery's ears perked and he grinned, his cheeks squishing up and his eyes almost disappearing. "An adventure? That would be wonderful! Spectacular!" He jumped up and danced around. "Magical? I suppose it would be. I hope it will be." Stopping suddenly he looked at Tia. "You shall be the leader. You're the master adventurer, it's only fair."
Ery jumped on a rock near by and whinnied lightly. "To adventure captain? On your word we leave!"

She grinned wide and let out a hearty laugh. "Prot dragon roar!" With that, she set forth looking about. "What news from the scouts? Do we have Games afoot?" her little fluff of a tail bobbed as she pranced and trotted about excitedly.
