Her green boots pounded the pavement as she ran down the alleyway trying to escape the brown uniformed Negaverse lieutenant, he was swinging a ridiculously colored croquet mallet in front of him wildly. Her heels splashed up the muddy snow and water mixture covering the once pristinely white fuku.
"Get away from me!"
Cursing she turned the corner trying to catch her breath. All Gomeisa had wanted to do was escape the Seminary for a few hours and smoke a few cigarettes without being detected. Desma had used her powered form to sneak out via the roof and off of the school's property. Now she was quite literally running for her life. She'd disrupted the guy while he was apparently stealing energy from what Desma could only describe as a prostitute.
"Dude, give it a rest," she huffed glancing around. For the time being he seemed to be looking for the exact direction that she went. Until this moment her only real encounters with anyone in the Negaverse had happened in Elysion, she had no actual contact with them, or seeing them as they battled the icy queen on Christmas Eve.
-------------------------
When Kyanite had said he was going out skirt chasing, he hadn't meant literally. He chased after the green skirted girl grumbling. The nega swung his mallet out of anger than the ability to actually do any damage to her. The Senshi was too far away for anything to actually cause any damage. He wanted to get through this night by collecting enough energy to make his quote and then get back to going about his own personal, civllian business.
Damned Senshi's always getting in the way! He looked behind a cluster of trashcans and bags. He wouldn't be able to hear her if he tried over his own disgusting mouth breathing.

Super Sailor Ares was on patrol, as per usual, strolling down the darkest and dankest alleys of Destiny City night after night. She had just finished the last zone and was headed back to check-in with the Blood Moon patrol captain for the night when she felt it. A Nega and Senshi -- and close.
Scaling the nearest roof for a better look, Ares ran this way and that way until she heard the Senshi of Failure shout. She leaned over the side of the building and watched as the green-booted senshi ran past. When the Nega came into view, Ares straightened up -- and then did a swan dive off the edge.
She twirled once in the air and then brought her legs together, booted feet cocked like missiles, and used Kyanite to break her fall. It was one of her favorite ways of making an entrance.

Kyanite was about to give up his search, it wasn't like anyone saw him chasing after the senshi, and he didn't need to report to his superiors that he bumped into one anyway. Kyanite was just pissed that he would need to find another target to drain energy from before returning to his previously scheduled nightly activities. He straightened out and then his feet buckled beneath him, forcing him against the dirty pavement.
"Ugh! What the hell!" He strained look see what had forced him to ground. "Get off of me, Sailor Scum." he growled and reached for the croquet mallet that had been tumbled away from him; his fingers wrapped around it's handle and he struggled to free himself from the weight on top of his back.
----
Gomeisa couldn't believe her eyes, as she peered around the corner hoping that the damned Negaverse agent would give up his search for her, so she didn't have to continue running and trying not to make a sound, another Senshi fell gracefully using the lieutenant to break her fall.
She nearly jumped for joy seeing another senshi in action - but mostly seeing a Nega get taken down. Gomeisa had seen civilians as well as senshi attacked in Elysion and seriously injured at the hands of Negaverse.
The teenager wasn't sure if she should step out and offer help to the elaborately fuku clad Senshi or to watch from the side lines. Taking a second to compose herself she stepped into view of the pair. If Ares needed help, Gomeisa could attempt to use her fail attack to provide it.

Ares rolled off of the Nega, taking the hit hard on her thigh. It would definitely leave a bruise, but she considered it worth the sparkly effort. The croquet mallet was on the ground between them. The senshi ran up and kicked it away, farther from his reach. She'd rather not get her face beat in, thankyouverymuch.
"Why do you run, sailor?" she asked briskly, rounding on Kyanite with malice in her eyes. "You won't beat him that way."
The torch in her hand was twirled across her fingertips, rolling over each knuckle as she sized up the lieutenant who had come to attack the strange senshi in green and white. Ares boots clicked with each step she took. "So Nega," she said, still moving in a slow circle. "Were you hoping to pick off a protector of the city tonight? Were you hoping to make a name for yourself with that bloated Queen Beryl?" Every now and then, she liked to indulge in a little banter, especially when in front of a senshi who seemed in need of guidance.
Ares believed in show and tell -- but show always came first.

The mallet skidded away out of his reach and he rumbled angered at her actions and words. Kyanite struggled to get to his feet, yeah this night was going just peaches and cream. All the young Negaverse wanted was to get his duties done and move in. He teetered, using the trashcans beside him to pull himself to his feet. The blow he'd taken was the equivalent to a full body sucker punch, taking a hit like that without expecting it would be hard to recover from and he was sure he'd be feeling it for days, if not a week.
"I don't need to off some babe in a skirt to rise in the ranks," he spat. She was intimidating twirling that strange torch of hers, he'd never seen a Senshi with a weapon before. He was too distracted to form any sort of verbal retaliation, he hoped there wasn't a way for The Queen to know that he hadn't defended her honor -not that she needed it of course. He was young, and evidently stupid.
He moved one hand, tightening his grip on the handle of the tin trashcan lid. He didn't have is flimsy mallet, but he could use something in the environment to attack and get it back. He lifted the lid and watching her move, trying to time his moment perfect. Lunging forward the brown suited Nega made an attempt to attack the bimbo who'd landed on him.
--
"B-beat him? She asked looking between the Senshi and Negaverse agent, "I was just hoping to get away from him. I wasn't looking for a fight." Gomeisa had seen enough of that recently in the dream realm. Well she had interrupted his weird..feeding thing whatever it was she wasn't sure; meaning she had indeed 'started it.'
The green skirted Senshi took a few steps forward, and then stopped abruptly. Her attack had to be timed just right to ensure that it worked, Gomeisa saw him step forward and decided that was as good a time as any. She wasn't sure exactly what a tin lid would do to someone with the strength of a sailor scout, but Gomeisa - mostly just the Desma in her wanted to stop another scout from being hurt. Clapping her gloved hands together, "Gomeisa Fail-Safe!" Here's for hoping, everything was suddenly happening fast and her attack wasn't always successful. A ray of green(the same as her fuku) energy passed from her gloves toward the pair and knocked the lid from his fingers.
"Dude, what does not looking for a fight mean to you?"

Sailor Ares twirled out of reach of the Kyanite and his trashcan lid just as Gomeisa knocked it from his hands. Well played, she thought. Ares brought her fists together and slammed them into the small of his back, aiming to knock him to the ground. “Don’t talk to your superiors like that,” she snapped, following up with a kick she hoped would catch him in the side. “Didn’t your Captain tell you that? Maybe I can teach you that lesson instead.” She attempted to kick him again. It would appear that Ares was taking her time here, though the reason for it was unclear. Circling the lieutenant, she let her eyes flicker up to the green-skirted sailor. “You don’t have to intend look for a fight,” she mused. “This is Destiny City, and you are supposed to be a warrior. The fights will find you. You just have to decide if you’re strong enough to answer the call. Don’t henshin if you aren’t ready to fight. You’d be risking your life for nothing.” There was a snap to her words, but also a note of caring. Ares wanted to breed warriors, and she did not blame the White Moon senshi as individuals for being disorganized. They didn’t have a leader, not a true one – in her opinion. Without a leader, they faltered. It was why she believed that the Blood Moon Court was so crucial.

Kyanite dropped to his knees, and his face contorted into a mass of pain as he cringed from the blows. He wasn't going to win this; he suddenly realized he was going to end up with many broken bones, or worse. He tried to skirt away from the blow, but it landed, probably -thankfully not the full force kick from the Super Sailor Senshi. The kick forced him back to his belly, where he hadn't wanted to be in the first place, Kyanite could physically feel his chin bounce as it hit the concrete. He could taste copper as his mouth filled with blood.
There wasn't any witty banter to be had, his superior had indeed told him not to talk back, but she wasn't his superior. She was Sailor scum, lowest of the low. He tried to speak but there was too much pain in his jaw to counter.
-----
Don't henshin if you're not willing to risk your life, that had hit home inside of Desma, she'd looked at the magic of glamor as an easy way to skim packs of cigarettes off of shelves when the gas station attendant wasn't looking, or to slip out of the seminary when she needed a cigarette. But, actually risking her life? Wasn't everyone in Destiny City risking their lives? She'd been a civilian, a passerby and attacked by a youma.
She cringed watching Ares wail on the young man, he may be the enemy, but the Negaverse were still people, weren't they?
"I," she shut her mouth before she spoke again, trying to put them in the right words, "Unless you count watching Kung-Fu movies, I have never had any training? What's the point of having any power at all if I don't know how to use it?"
"I'm the Senshi of Failure.. literally Failure. What good can I be?"

Senshi of Failure? It was an unfortunate sphere. Ares wouldn't like to be so closely associated with something so negative. It seemed like the green-skirted senshi before her echoed certain misgivings on her own. "You were destined to be what you are. You just don't understand how to wield the power that the universe has given you. We are all like that at first -- and then we learn, or we die," she explained, punching Kyanite in the gut.
Ares had never been good at sugar-coating things. She found it a useless practice anyway. This knack of hers to bare all the horrors so openly had scared off many a cadet. In spite of her knack for self-improvement, it was something she had found nearly impossible to change in herself. Leave the hand-holding to Birhan Isat, or maybe even Laocoon, even Gunn. All would be better options than Ares.
One hand flashed out to snatch Kyanite by the hair. She pulled him upright, his knees brushing the ground. "This is your enemy." She threw him down. The weight of him hit the concrete with a loud slap. "If he had the chance, he would kill you without blinking. But right now -- you have the upper hand. You must learn to act on these windows of opportunity for yourself, for the civilian, for this planet, for the universe. You must find that inner strength to do what must be done because only you have the power to do so." Ares twirled her staff and then slipped it through the loop at her waist so that it hung there.
"So end this life," she said, gesturing to Kyanite, "and save the thousand innocent lives he would take."
And then, with her eyes fierce on Gomeisa, Ares waited.
