ESPECIALLY anybody who still hasn't gotten L4D2, and are clinging to the first game. All of the first game's campaigns will be officially released into L4D2, and as a bonus, a fanmade campaign backed by valve themselves. http://www.l4d.com/blog/post.php?id=5019So, uh, somehow I REALLY saw this coming half a globe away.

Okay Valve. We all love you but, sometimes you don't use your head. We know L4D2 is a great game, but taht doesn't mean you can absolutely destroy the fist game. You're bringing L4D into L4D2, then what happens to L4D? There will be ZERO reason to play it anymore. ZERO.

Any of the a*****e elitists pretty much got slapped in the face and then their a** handed to them. On the flipside, I hope that L4D has a price chop, and people who owned it before gets an item in TF2 or something to compensate, with anyone buying L4D later obtaining an "untitled"/less valuable version. (IE: You obtained an "unusual bill's hat", anyone who buys it later obtains an "Used Bill's hat". Obviously it would not be a bill's hat, but an item as easily recognizable.)

Oh god, and now we come to Valve's second fault. TF2 Items. Now, weapons are good and hats are fine, but since polycount this game has been ruined. There are MORE HATS than WEAPONS which is just awful. And some hats and weapons don't even belong in the game due to their art style! Like the RIFT weapons, WTF ARE THOSE, does THAT look like TF2, not to me it doesn't. Promotional items just ******** with the players because they'll pay money for a ******** hat or some s**t.

Weapons are harder to balance then hats, hats are just fancy items used to be special. Promotional items usually suck, stat-wise or are rarer then a good pyro.

I understnd that weapons are weapons and hats are hats, but honestly, they're focusing more on hats then the game itself. Team Fortress 2? More like, The Sims: Scavanger Hunt.

i think pollycount is a good thing sense it brings a new level of combat to the game like full spy set gives no sound that makes being sniper even harder and the x-mas engies wrench makes things build even faster than before and i do like more hats it just makes vintage hats more rarer

I don't really mind. L4D2 was just a glorified expansion pack. Carrying everything over from the first game was inevitable. CANADA FTW There are MORE HATS than WEAPONS which is just awful. And some hats and weapons don't even belong in the game due to their art style! The worst thing about the Mann Co. update isn't the weapons or hats, it's the ridiculous prices in the store. I expected micropayments, not the price equivalent of a full game for one hat.

That's true but i also hate trading. I mean, we were all excited for trading and it's a nice feature, but now poeple just sit in trade servers all day playing Scavanger Hunt, trading hats they just got 2 minutes ago for more. Plus they make up their own prices and DEMAND that you pay full price. I can't trade one simple thing for anotehr simple thing without someone wanting mroe. I came across a guy who wanted like 2-3 refined for 2 nametags.

I don't particularly enjoy TF2, I'd enjoy keeping it out of my L4D discussion. Mind you it can be enjoyable, just not... that much.
I'm honestly quite confused as to why they're doing this. The only reason I can think is so they can essentially drop L4D1 support all together because L4D2 will have everything it had and more (save for all those achievements I never got).
Kind of makes sense to me, really. L4D2 just looks and plays nicer, because I think it was put together better. (I was going to say it's on a better engine but idfk if that's right or what I'm talking about there so scratch that.)
I really don't see why people are complaining. At all. Companies do this to games ALL the time. Look at any multilayer game that came out with a "sequel". This is the exact same concept. They took the original idea and game, prettied it up, and added a whole lot more to it (modes, etc.).
But, I guess people will complain no matter what.

Not everything is getting brought over. L4D1 will still have Crash Course and The Last Stand.
Plus sometimes it's fun to play with less weapons and special infected types.

I'm curious, if the "last three campaigns from L4D1" don't include those two, then how many campaigns does the first game have? Heck, what are all of them?

Crash Course is a super short 2 level campaign, and The Last Stand consists of a single Survival mode level called The Lighthouse.
It's a lighthouse.

Nothing else but this gets me suspicious that they're including crash course.

Answers: Dead Air Death Toll Blood Harvest Crash Course No Opinion"
No word on last stand.
