The Chiyudō Room
Fourth Division, Seireitei
Private Roleplay

The Chiyudō Room, unlike the Sparring and Training Grounds, is a place reserved only for the practice of Chiyudō. Not to be confused with normal Kidō, the place is designed for a quieter nature for practice of Chiyudō requires more focus and attention.

The room is large and vast, more like a huge conference hall. However, instead of chairs and tables for meetings, the place is filled with cots and beds that is also the same designs like the beds in the Coordinated Relief Facility. The room is extremely bright, due to the full-glass windows at the left side of the room, revealing the picturesque landscape beyond the Seireitei, the Rukongai mountains and forests. By the entrance, a lone desk sits as the station of the assigned medical personnel at the room; however, it is long vacated since the room was never used.

Slowly walking in, Satori's hands were rigidly at his sides as he strode into the large medical building, thinking to himself in his owl little world, barely heeding anything around him. So i joined the healing squad...now I only hope that I can actually help...now...where is everyone? Suddenly looking up, Satori stopped, trying to feel around himself to see if anyone was in the building. Then again, he was fresh out of the academy. He could only actually feel spiritual pressure when the person was within a few meters of him. "Erm...anyone here?"

Kei Aoi
Captain, Fourth Division
Sereitei, Soul Society

Kei Aoi walked silently along the Fourth Division corridors. As he passed by several Shinigami of the said division, he was greeted continuously; nonetheless, he didn't mind much because he just came from greenhouses and was in an unusually good mood. Slowly but surely, he moved on forward towards the Chiyudou Room to see if there are new members applying for healing Kido training.

As he entered the said room, he immediately saw a new member of the Fourth Division, Satori Takajou... if he could remember the name perfectly well, according to the man's name. Satori was quite tall and was fit, which was somewhat rare for a medic. Truth be told, Kei Aoi always thought of himself quite thinner than average. The captain just caught the green-eyed man ask, "Erm... anyone here?" To which Kei replied with a short chuckle and then went to the desk beside the entrance and wrote in the dusty old log book.

"Kei Aoi... captain of the Fourth Division..." Kei began and then scribbled swiftly across the blanks. "Satori... Takajou... unseated member... recent..." He added and then laid down the pen and then faced the unseated member. "A member more fit to be in the Second Division or any other offense-based division as according to his physical characteristics yet decided the Fourth, nonetheless. A personality that is described as a 'pushover', somewhat bipolar and helpful despite the often changing moods. Looks like we're going to have problems with you."

Kei Aoi smiled and then walked gently across the room towards the windows. "What do you know of the Fourth Division, Satori-kun?" The captain asked as he looked at the distant mountains and hillsides.

Bowing quickly before his captain, Satori paled slightly as the captain read his personality description. Truth be told, he was a tad bit bipolar, though he tried his best with his sudden outbursts. As he came back up from his bow, Satori looked over towards his new captain. "Aoi-taichou, I know this division to be the foremost in healing techniques, known to be able to heal almost any wound. I chose this squad because i wished to help people. My build, though it can sometimes state the opposite, comes from my desire to help." Quickly adding at the end, since the last bit of his captain's words about him had caught his attention, "And sir, you won't have any problems with me." He only hoped his captain would believe his words.

Kei Aoi
Captain, Fourth Division
Sereitei, Soul Society

Kei Aoi turned to Satori and then looked steadily at his green eyes. The man before him overflowed of potential, yet, somehow, he felt something different with him. There was some kind of strange feeling that the captain felt that was not of Satori. Sadly, he couldn't identify what it was and decided that he kept his opinions to himself.

After the young member finished his words about the Fourth Division, Kei Aoi raised a finger. "Everything is one way or the other, correct in essentials; however, you committed one mistake." The captain began. "The Fourth Division can cure and heal any kind of wound or any kind of poisoning but we cannot cure one type of wound. A wound inflicted at the heart. Not literal heart, but those of the emotional kind of heart.

"Yes, I know, we aim to support our patients when it comes to their emotional challenges. However, there is no one that can cure or heal their pain, when it comes to the heart, but only themselves. That's the time when the Fourth Division, or I guess any healing organizations, powerless and helpless." The captain said. Then, he smiled as soon as Satori said about him being 'not have any problems'. "Yes, I think I will, Satori-kun. Or at least, you will have difficulties being here in some way or the other."

Kei Aoi clapped softly and then took a seat by one of the beds, facing the mountains once again. "The will to help is all that I need here in the Fourth Division, Satori-kun, so, I hope you don't change hearts while you are in here." He said and then smiled vaguely as he thought of his past. The Fourth Division before lacked membership and activity when Kei joined. He was about to decide to change divisions when he thought of his promise to stay, no matter what, for he loved helping people in curing their wounds and sicknesses. Yes, he was that dedicated before.

You don't know me. It ran through Satori's mind quickly as his captain stood there, but he kept the emotion from appearing on his face. "Yes, Aoi-taichou." It was said more out of duty than anything else. Talking back to your captain was insane, if not suicide depending on the captain. Now, Satori would observe his captain and see if they were going to get along, or if his assumptions of Satori would get in the way. He wasn't looking at things in a pessimistic way, but it always helped to think of every option. He just wished to help. Which meant starting to learn the techniques of the fourth division. Not trying to be to straightforward, but simply getting to his point, Satori decided to be the first to speak about it. "Aoi-taichou, this building is for the training of medical techniques, correct? I would like to learn some, if that's possible."

Kei Aoi
Captain, Fourth Division
Sereitei, Soul Society

Kei Aoi smiled once again as he turned to Satori. Exactly. That was exactly the thing why he thought Satori was going to be a little bit of a problem. The tone of his voice. The detectable change in his aura, from discomposed to controlled. The sudden straightforward attitude unfit for his persona several seconds ago. Correct. Satori was...

"Healing Kido, or the so-called Chiyudou, is a more difficult branch of Kido... It is neither used to protect not to destroy. It is meant to restore. It is meant to replenish. It meant to cure. It is meant to mend." Kei Aoi said, turning to the other side of the room, by a table, and then picked a small knife. With a soft swish of the blade, he cut his index finger of his left hand. He smiled and then looked at Satori again as a trickle of blood flowed. "There are two kinds of type of reiryoku as explained to me before by my superiors when I was training. Outward reiryoku. Inward reiryoku. Outward reiryoku was meant to push everything, or anything away, and is the main ingredient of Hado Kido. Meanwhile, Inward reiryoku was released to pull inward forces and molecules, ergo the main component of Bakudo spells. However...

"Chiyudou works a totally different way." Kei Aoi ended, and then raised his right hand. With a soft glow, two orbs appeared by the captain's hand. One orb was colored of red and the other was blue in nature. Suddenly, the two orbs combined and then formed into another orb but was green of color. "Comprised of both outward and inward reiryoku; however, totally different from them at the same time." And then, he pointed the green orb at his small cut and then the object flung towards it and then came right inside the wound. "Chiyudou #1," Kei Aoi said softly, "Yawarakai Seppun (Soft Kiss)." He added and then the wound patched itself in a most swift way possible. "Conjure a green reiryoku, Satori-kun. For starters."

Calm...composed...that's what Satori had to be right now. Seeing the captain cut his own finger wasn't surprising, showing Satori what the healing would look like and how to do it would help him in recreating the scenario. Watching closely and listening to his captain's explanation, Satori committed everything to memory as he let his own hands move up in front of his chest, palms out towards each other. There was a way he made doing kido in the academy easier, a saying he was told by one of his teachers. First, came hado reiatsu, the pushing away of everything. First, the saying he so often told himself when he was practicing the kido in the academy. I will move it, I will destroy it. The simple will of wanting to move it away from him, of wanting to erase it, was the spark that so often lit the flame that allowed his reiatsu to take on the form of hado. A scarlet orb appeared coming from his right hand, floating about an inch from his palm. Now, for the bakudo.

First, like what he did before, he remembered the saying he so often told himself while doing the spells. While maintaining the orb of reiatsu with his right hand, the hado reiatsu held within it his will, and so the act of keeping the reiatsu together was done by his right hand. His left would deal with the other orb. I will stop it. I will not let it move. With the saying, came the will, the spark he so often felt when he was doing bakudo. While he gave up on doing these particular spells long ago, he still remembered the feel, the act of doing it. That alone was enough to sustain him. Pushing reiatsu through his left hand now, Satori could feel the reiatsu in his right hand straining, though he kept it together while a small orb appeared out of his left hand, a light blue color, and also an inch from his left palm. With a few centimeters inbetween the two orbs, they sent spark of energy back and forth between each other, obviously clashing, though maintaining their forms.

This was going to be a tad bit difficult...to put it lightly.

Now for the hardest part of the whole ordeal. Trying to combine something that was meant to destroy, and another that was meant to protect. Once he learned how to do it, Satori knew he would look back on this and think how foolish he was not to have been able to do it quicker. Almost smirking, Satori knew he would. With the two orbs in front of each of his palms, Satori started to get them closer to one another. More sparks of energy flew from each of the orbs, and when that happened, Satori quickly moved them back to where they were before. simply trying to force the two to coincide with each other would simply result in a disaster, most likely an explosion that would make him a burden for the captain to heal. No, something was staring at him right in the face, though he wasn't seeing it. Looking down at the two orbs, he repeated both the sayings in his head.

I will move it, i will destroy it...I will stop it, i will not let it move...

What was he missing? He thought for a few moments, trying to figure it out. What did he need to do to try and get the two to go together. Simply standing there wasn't going to help anything. The phrases for each wouldn't help him...the phrases....the phrases! That's what he had missed before. Just like he had thought moments ago, he looked back at before when he tried to simply push them together. The two phrases were in direct opposition to each other. Closing his eyes again, Satori thought to himself before he moved the balls of energy again. I will stop the destruction. I will protect by pushing away the damage. By altering the two phrases and adding them together, he could feel the shifting in energy between his hands, and as he moved the two balls together, Satori could feel them combining, working together. And, as he opened his eyes, there was now a green ball between his hands where there was a red and a blue before.

Looking up at his captain, Satori let no emotion slip into his face. 'Like this, Aoi-taichou?"

Kei Aoi
Captain, Fourth Division
Sereitei, Soul Society

Kei Aoi was extremely impressed of Satori's advancement at such as a short time. Truly, at his pace, he could be a high-ranked officer in a matter of years... no, possibly months. That is, if Satori had the right determination and enthusiasm to move on forward into the goals and aims of the Fourth Division. Nonetheless, if he was strong enough for the division's own good, he could just transfer to other divisions. Kei was not being bitter, no, but he really thought that Satori seemed to be...

"I am impressed." Kei Aoi began. "So impressed, actually. You might be better than me when I even started here, Satori. Yes, indeed, better than me, perhaps." The captain began and then walked to the other side of the room. There, he pulled a large blackboard from a storage room and then brought out some chalk. From there, he scribbled some things like "Chiyudou" and its definitions along with the procedures. "Theory. It is most crucial that you study the theories of the human body, Kido and its nature. From what we did, what did you learn, Satori-kun?

"We learned the two most basic, yet the entire, nature of Chiyudou. It is not complicated. It's just the combination of two entirely different reiryoku." Kei Aoi said and then wrote "reiryoku" on the board along with a horrible drawing of two balls of what seemed to be energies joining together. "But how do we shape it? How do I shape it like those I did earlier of the first Chiyudou?

Kei Aoi paused and then raised a finger, as if warning Satori from an unknown threat. "Be warned, it is not like the process of Hado and Bakudo. Do you understand?"

The goading that his captain raised his pride, but again he allowed nothing to show on his face. The man had still annoyed him slightly, and the more negative emotions towards people tended to stick with him. The captain was thinking over in his head whether or not Satori was meant for the squad. He thought he would, and the look the captain gave him before speaking was more than enough for him to get that impression. Changing his attention to what the captain was now saying, Satori took everything in, thinking to himself. It was true he would need to study the theories of the body, but he already knew a vast majority of the body and it's internal organs as well. While he had been in the academy he had accessed information in it's libraries about the structure of the body, both inside and out. While he was far from knowing everything, what he had learned made this a little easier for him to understand.

"Yes, Aoi-taichou. When using Chiyodou, I am guessing that instead of simply forming the reshi and allowing it to do what our will wants, we instead must consciously direct what the technique must do. Since the human body has a changing structure depending on each person, simply relying on a technique without direction could have horrible results. Not everyone's body is the same, therefore the technique must be adapted to each person every time it is used. You must first sync your own reiatsu with their own, and then direct where the cells must replenish and where bleeding must be controlled and the like. Am I correct, Aoi-taichou?"

Kei Aoi
Captain, Fourth Division
Sereitei, Soul Society

Kei Aoi looked at the green-eyed man for a relatively long moment as the lower seat began to explain about reishi, human anatomy and cells. He did not quite understand the extreme limitations of Satori's knowledge; however, it certainly impressed the captain. Of course, the lessons must have been taught at the academy, or perhaps it was taught by his parents from a medical profession background. Another theory might be that he was just a man made of pure brilliance and knowledge, a genius so to say. Kei's eyes narrowed for a second as he scanned the emotionless image of Satori as he spoke; he wanted to know how his logic ran and analyzed.

This one, unlike Tomoya, was extremely difficult to process. Tomoya was easier to analyze because of the common "stunned by reality" sort of personality; Tomoya was pushed to the limits when he was struck by a horrible trauma - the death of his sister. On the other hand, the likes of Satori gave him the strangest of persona. He was calm, cool and smart; he was also unusually, even to the verge of freakishly, composed, collected and decided. Ah!

Kei Aoi feared Satori.

The captain nodded as soon as Satori rhetorically asked about the preciseness of his words regarding Chiyudou. "Correct, Satori-kun." Kei Aoi said, acknowledging the man's brilliance regarding his knowledge of healing Kido. The captain glanced at the cold features of Satori. Was this exactly the man described in his profile records? A man who wants to help? Always wants to help? The captain knew all too well that the man here was labeled "bipolar"; however, he wondered about the extent of this trait of his.

Kei held out his hand and then turned to his subordinate. "The first Chiyudou. Yawarakai Seppun. Is a Chiyudou that was originally designed to be activated through the use of the medic's lips; however, as time passed by, it had evolved from the lips to the fingertips of the medic. A small amount of reiryoku is transferred from the user's own and then soaked at the wound of the target, thus, effectively healing it. The Chiyudou is weak and does nothing to internal damages; it is extremely limited so it is only used to light bruises, cuts and other damages.

"You have managed to activate the key used in Chiyudou; it would be easier for you to learn this Chiyudou, Satori-kun." Kei Aoi said and then waved his hand for Satori to begin.

Was Satori to be trusted such powers?

((Isn't it quite strange that Satori-kun could really process what Kei Aoi was entirely thinking with a single glance; he must be extremely, extremely, extremely perceptive. One post for Chiyudou #1.))

[With what he said about having problems with Satori and then instantly trying to give him a compliment just looked weird to him. And since Kei said he would be more suited for any offense division it gave me the impression. Putting the description before your talking aside, at least that's how I felt. I'm trying to make this character a mirror image of myself, so whatever I get from your posts is what I have him act on XD]

Used by the medic's...lips....instantly Satori thought of this used on a regular basis. Oh god...bad, bad thoughts. This was one feeling that he was completely unable to hide on his face, as he took on a crimson hue that easily announced what he was feeling. Crap. Turning away from his captain for a moment, Satori tried to get it so that his face wasn't so...obvious. He was good at keeping a composed face, but this was something beyond his capability. He was a little angry at himself; this always happened. turning back towards his captain, his face was still a little red, but he had most of his emotions under control. Not able to look at his captain in the face, Satori looked at Kei's hand, held out to him as a sign to begin. Even with his zanpaktou at his waist, Satori was hesitant to even draw it. He had joined this division to help people, not to draw his sword if he could help it. Looking up at his captain, Satori hesitated before speaking. "Aoi-taichou...I wanted to learn medical techniques, but not if I have to hurt myself or others. It might seem a little closed minded...but..." He didn't know where to begin.

Kei Aoi

Kei Aoi looked at his subordinate after he discussed the mechanics of the first Chiyudou. Undeniably, strange thoughts began to race across Satori's mind as basing to his somewhat crimson-hued face during those moments. The captain chuckled as he helplessly looked at the green-eyes man, so tall and fit, yet so vulnerable to those kind of thoughts. It is quite strange seeing such a man to relatively... blush.

The captain shook his head and giggled for a short moment as he looked at Satori. "Are you a virgin, Satori-kun? You seemed horribly affected by this Chiyudou." The captain teased as he picked a scalpel and then swiftly cut a two-inch long wound across the back of his right hand. "Focus, Satori-kun. The first Chiyudou is the simplest among the rest of the known healing Kido; failure to perform this would mark your Chiyudou future. Anyways..."

"Try not using the first version, perhaps?" Kei Aoi added jokingly.

((Well explained. Thank you for clearing that up.))

Quickly looking up at his captain, Satori's mouth hung open, as if he wanted to say something. And how badly he did. His right eye twitching slightly, Satori would have started knocking the man on his head if he weren't his captain. "I-uh-no-you....gaaaaaah!" The last noise Satori made was right when the captain slashed himself, clearly a sign for Satori to try and heal the wound. A little dumbstruck, Satori quickly put his hands near his captain's, closing his eyes as he focused his reiatsu. "Mala suerte...mala suerte que mirete aqui dia...*" Satori mumbled to himself. He had learned quite a bit of spanish while he was alive, and a little bit of japanese as well, but how he couldn't remember. He only knew he understood it. But there was no time to think of that now. Focusing quietly, the mixing of his reiatsu worked before he even thought of it, as he said the saying he created in his head. With his reiatsu already a light green hue, there was a small bubble around the captain's hand, quickly making the blood that came from the wound dissipate, as the wound quickly closed. While he wanted to hit the man for what he had said to Satori, he wasn't one to ignore someone who needed a wound healed. When he was finished, Satori looked right at his captain, his eye still twitching. He still had the overwhelming urge to hit the man...
