Still slightly under construction, but done enough to get a move on smile



Clutching the acceptance letter in your hand, you wandered through the large wrought iron gates of a humongous and pretty secure looking, airship port with a crowd of other hopefuls. Everyone looked different and incredibly unique, from explorer types and mechanical geniuses, to pilots and ex military. The first thing you noticed was the efficiency, automatons bustling back and forth, large payloads of coal pouring out of a ships hold into various trucks below ready for transport. What you didn’t recognise was the large blue glowing gems being loaded into a heavily armoured van… Following the steady stream of bodies into the main building, an imposing red brick structure with long tall windows and towering chimneys, you were directed to a large hall and took a seat as a young ambitious looking man walked onto the stage, followed by twelve other people, each very unique in their own ways.
“We’re not the biggest company; neither are we the best… But we will be. Just you watch!” Began the young man, seemingly he was indeed the company owner…your new boss.
”I am Theodor White, founder of SFM&M Co., Storm-chaser Fuel Merchants & Miners Co. As the name suggests, we are a Fuel Merchant company specialising in aerial transport and mining. “From ground to green” A popular phrase amongst our employees, and it’s true, we do everything from the mining to the selling all internally.” He said carrying on with the introduction. You felt a little nervous though, and looking around it seemed you weren’t the only one.
” The Storm-chaser part though you might not guess if you have been out of the loop for a while. Our ships are all powered by harvested lightning, well mostly… We try to use it as much as possible to save on our own fuel costs.
Are you all still interested?” Theodor asked to the sound of some unanimous cheering and applause. Joining in, you felt a little bit less stressed, and there was even a smile from some people surrounding you.
”You will all be split into separate crews to serve under the different captains of the fleet aboard their ships.” Theodor said motioning behind himself to the twelve individuals. One of whom caught your eye, and seemed to give you a smile and a nod, though you could me mistaken, even so, he looked like a nice person. Theodor continued on with his speech…
”Each ship has different rules set by their captain as they are the owner of their respective ship, so follow them. They have the right to make the punishments, not I. They just work for me, and I in turn work for them…
Right! Now when I call out your names, stand and report to the area I direct you to!” Your name was called early, and standing up to move to the front of the stage you notice the same captain from before smiling, and obviously waving directly at you. It seemed you would be working with him after all…

Airship Agatha Example
Agatha is a Ymir class airship, 300 meters long with a hold capable of carrying 1000 tones of materia. She is specially fitted out for shaft mining, which is carried out by a specialised ground harpoon, and exploration for new dig sites. she can carry a massive payload of coal and fuels, much more than should be possible for an avereage airship due to her combined steam and subvolite powergem engine. Her quarters can acommodate a crew of 10/15 depending on the situation, although one cabin has been locked for as long as anyone can remmeber, seemingly with no key.
Her fitted equipment is suited for large scale mining, Including an onboard troop of 30 automatons and the mosty noticable piece of equipment, the Shaft Harpooner. The Shaft Harpooner is a specialist reusable harpoon cannon, designed to penetrate deep into the earth and leave behind charges, that when blown loosen a shaft of rubble that is then extracted by an umbrella like tip on the harpoon as it is winched back towards the surface.
Other fittings include topside and underside gun nests for protection from various threats, a large but light weight coal/subvolite engine capable of running on steam power, or on lightning when available, an ample kitchen dining area also used for the briefing room, underside pilot/navigation cockpit, research and storage room used to colate and record exploration findings and data. The rest of the fittings are what you would expect on any other airship.

SFM&M Co. Headquarters
The Headquarters are extremely large, featuring many different departments and buildings. the most importaint of which is centred right in front of the huge heavy gates. The building's constructed of red brick, with towering chimneys, large windows and filled with officies used for various different bussiness deals and dilemas.
