As a DM I have to say it is entirely situational dependant, I would have to know why your wanting to change your character and what you are changing into, I wouldn't allow say my Half celestial cleric to turn into a half Vampire cleric for obvious reasons, more input would be nice about the template and changes

I would say keep reincarnate random and not let it become some sort of permanant shapechange like effect.

It's really funny. Oh, Glo, even though it's Elven Lies, it has almost nothing to do with elves or the sword and magic times. It's set in the modern era 3nodding .

I have an idea....how about...an item (amulet, ring, etc..) that reincarnates u into a (humanoid) form when u die, and it happens only once? (ring dissipates)
