I am aware that the newer players to the guild could very easily be overwhelmed by the wall of details and info that this guild has gathered over the years.
This place is not a place to flame. If a newbie asks a question, don't insult them please. And newbies, please try not to get frustrated from the mass of info. We understand that this guild can be overwhelming. Trust me, we were all in that situation once upon a time. We welcome all newcomers, so don't hesitate to ask a question.
Here are some questions that are asked. Feel free to ask your own questions, or if you don't like all the reading, just re-ask the question here:
Q: What is this guild? Can I join?
A: This guild is a little roleplaying community. Anyone is free to join.
Q: Since its called 'Angel Eclipse', does that mean I have to be an angel?
A: No, it doesn't. You don't even have to like angels to be in this guild.
Q: How do I make a character?
A: You simply go to the Character Profiles sticky in the RolePlaying subforum. From there you fill out the information you want about your character. You can even include a picture if you have one.
Q: I have a character. How do I get started?
A: Once you've made your character, you can place him in the world on any of the so called 'maps' (place like threads). Once your character is placed you can begin roleplaying right away and interacting with others.
Q: No ones roleplaying with me. Why?
A: You could be in a map no ones in so no one will notice you. That or people are choosing to stick with their group and not interact with your character. If you're having trouble finding someone to roleplay with, go to the 'Find an RP buddy' thread in the roleplaying subforum.
Q: I was looking at the race list and don't see the race my character is. Do I have to change my race?
A: Nope. The Race List isn't updated that often and you can be any race you want no matter what. The Race List is just used for people to explain their odd custom races.
Q: I'm fighting with another character. Can I kill him?
A: No, you can't kill anyone without the user's permission. Unless of course it is an NPC that you are controlling.
Q: I'm fighting with another character and they've gone invincible. What do I do? Is this allowed?
A: No, its not allowed. Its an act of God Modding. Just report him to a crew member and we'll give him/her a little message.
Q: C4N i CYB3R H3R3?
A: No..
Q: I'm going away for a little while. How do I notify everyone I'm leaving?
A: With the Absence Posts thread. There you can tell everyone where you're going and how long you think you'll be.
Q: Will I get banned for being inactive?
A: No, we don't ban members for being inactive, but we'd love for you to turn that around and be active. :]
Q: How do I move from place to place?
A: To go from one thread to another, all you have to do is in OOC just say where you're going. Such as [Exits to Deralo Field] or (Leaves to Kahiro Village)
Q: I saw that there was some sort of storyline thing going on. Do I have to participate in that?
A: No, you don't. Its just one big storyline that you can choose whether or not to get involved in.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but if your friend wants to RP here then he/she is more than welcome to. Maybe if he/she feels that he/she will be too slow for the RPer's here, then maybe we could arrange some kind of one on one RP in the guild just so he/she could get used to how Gaia and this guild works. So if he/she wants to RP in this guild, by all means. We accept basically everyone.

Well for starters she could start RPing with you. If she wants to RP with someone else then I could. I'm sure any other players here would be more than happy to RP with her too. The best thing she should do if she wants someone else to reply is to make a post in the 'talking while you RP' thread in this subforum. From what I understand most of the people that RP here look at that topic at least once per login.

Ok, I've been part of this guild for who knows how long, but I don't think I've ever actually role played in it *shame face*
But I'm looking into it, and I have no idea where to start!
There doesn't seem to be a lot of easy access to explanations on here, may you please explain some of the basic stuff that's going on?

Water of Fenri Ok, I've been part of this guild for who knows how long, but I don't think I've ever actually role played in it *shame face* But I'm looking into it, and I have no idea where to start! There doesn't seem to be a lot of easy access to explanations on here, may you please explain some of the basic stuff that's going on? I agree with Italian. Merkia's active if you wish to jump in. PAge one of the topic explains the location and whatnot. All you have to do is post a character profile in the profile's subforum and you're ready to go ~_^

I've noticed people who just Role-play with text. I was wondering if it was acceptable if your character's photo accompanied the post as well, left aligned. I do have a layout to my posts. There's a sample under my profile thread. Thank you

There's no rule saying you can't use pictures. ~_^ We usually just choose not to. But if you want to use pics, it's your choice.

Mod is short for moderator. They make sure things are in working order and deal with any problems.
To make a new area in the world, you have to submit your idea to the 'map ideas' topic. When/if we like what we see, we'll let you post it. Don't post topics at random unless it's the chatterbox please.
