Demons Types
Each level of Hell represents an order of Demon Hierarchy. The deeper a demon hails from in hell, the more powerful he is.
There are different types of demons, and nearly any of them can grow to be powerful enough to rise up to any ranks. For some of the demons, rising in rank is uncommon, though not unheard of, and other demons are known for being powerful from birth and never needing to rise in rank.
This is not the rank of your demon it is simply a means of differentiating it from other demons that may not be of the same caliber of yours. Think of it like classifying it according to race among the Demon kind.
Types of Demons:
Fiend
The Fiends of the Pit are some of the most powerful Hellborne demons. Towering at around 10 feet of height, not including horns, and often as wide as half their height, these creatures exude power. Carrying flaming swords and whips, these monsters are 100 percent combat capable.
Incubus/Succubus
These fiends are among the best of Hell's agents. Their ability to corrupt is immense. With the acting ability of formidable range and strength, they are the most friendly and seemingly harmless of demons. A succubus IS capable of generosity, caring, and even friendship, but all these take a back seat to themselves and the desires of their masters. Some of the greatest thinkers and philosophers of Hell, the succubi are hard to trick and near impossible to fool. And while not as directly potent as a Fiend of the Pit, succubi are no slouches in the physical combat department. Direct combat is often seen as a failure among most succubi and they avoid it at almost all costs, better to surrender and offer themselves and their services to the assailant. There are few creatures in all the Omniverse capable of turning down such an offer, and that's just what the succubi had in mind.
The Fallen
The Fallen are often called True Demons and they are the demons who have existed since the Fall itself. There are only ever three Fallen for they are the three Angels who followed Lucifer into hell and, therefore, are considered nearly as powerful as he. The capabilities are far too complex to catalog and therefore are not listed.
Smaller demons, and less evolved demons, are also present in Hell, though are rarely seen operating on their own due to their limitations. These demons include the swift and nimble Imps, Damned Souls of the living who now serve demons through contracts, and Bull Demons - creatures of such ferocity and strength they are feared throughout the nine levels despite their sever lack of intelligence.

Hierarchy of Hell
Demons are quite often single goal oriented in whatever they have decided to pursue, be it a rise in station among the legion of hell, consuming as much Will as possible, or simply causing as much chaos as possibly on Earth. Though Demons do not often play well together it is not unheard of for pairs or small groups of like-minded demons to come together for their goals.
Each Demon "rank" has it's own limitations. As Demons are simply malevolent creatures from the get-go they don't have much inherent power. The Demons that are powerful have gotten to be that way by devouring souls of the living, signing powerful contracts, making beneficial deals, and obliterating their competition.
Not all Demons are allied with one another in their following of Lucifer, nor are they above interfering with each other for deals if the price is right, but the one thing that all Demons have in common is a fear of Angels and a hatred for humanity.
Level 1 - Limbo
Only Human souls may RP at this level. Human souls cannot interact with their physical environment though they can see the living, hear the living, and try to make contact.
Occasionally souls that have spent enough time in limbo learn how to interact with the physical world but only with great concentration and great effort. The more evil or angry a spirit the greater their connection to the physical things around them - even the living.
Special humans may also contact the spirits but never seeing, hearing, or touching them in the same physical sense the spirits once had. This is not Ghost Whisperer and you are not Patrick Swayze.
Level 2
The second level of Hell is the birthing place of the Demon Born. Here is where the souls of the damned are tormented and tried by infant demons.Demons at this stage may cling to delusions of staying noble and redeeming themselves but will only result in either destroying themselves or succumbing to their growing nature.
Level 3 - 5
Demons of this level are learning to become more cunning as they learn that the underworld is Haven for none, even Demon-born. Nearly a full fledged demon, there are no longer whispers in the mind of humanity, only your goal for eternity resides in your thoughts.
Level 6 - The City of Dis
Once you gain entrance to the City of Dis you are considered a full-fledged Demon, demon-born no longer, and are afforded all the subsequent power and abilities, however, in order to pass the Veil you must work alongside a more powerful demon or respond to a summoning ritual in the Earthly realm.
You are a Demon.
To go to Earth you must possess a human body.
On earth the Demonic powers you possess are:
Invulnerability to Weapons - Demons can hurt but the only thing that takes damage from weapons such as guns and blades is the human body. Enhanced Strength - Not enough strength to punch a hole through a solid wall of steel but it is enough to snap a neck with minimal effort. Minor Telekinesis - Think of it as a wave of energy that repels. You cannot use it to levitate objects, or to call them to you, but you can repel physical objects as well as people from you and others.
Level 7
Even Demons have fears. You will learn this as you trespass into the wastelands that lay beyond the City of Dis, surrounded by the River Phlegethon, forested only by trees that hang the souls of the damned. Demons at this level begin to regain consciousness, returning to them from when they were simply Demon-born, and often battle with their wills and desires. These are the demons that sometimes mistake lust for love and will attempt to regain their humanity, and are despised by all their fellow demons.
Level 8- the Malebolge
Arch Demons of Hell, those who have the strength, will, and power to pass the portals in the Veil on their own.
You are an Arch Demon.
Telekinesis - You can repel and attract people and objects to yourself with minimal effort. You can even do so with many people and objects though your concentration will waver with each additional body and object. Mind Control - You can influence the way people think and manipulate them into doing what you want them to do. Demonic Rituals - You've been around the bend enough times to have knowledge of the inner working of Hell. Use the power you've gained from Will and direct it with the rituals passed on to you by the Fallen Angels.
Level 9 - Cocytus
This level is only for the court of three and the Fallen One himself, the most powerful of all demon kind.

Angels
There are three main types of Angels: Angels, Arch Angels, and Seraphim. Each type of Angel has different designations in order to attend to the Orders of Heaven and so have their own classifications for themselves.
Angels
The Angels, also known as the Malakh wat watim (messengers or angels), are the lowest order of the angels, and the most recognized. They are the ones most concerned with the affairs of living things. Angels are the true intermediaries between God and individual people.
Angels safeguard households and individuals who believe in the Lord and keep them safe from demons. Though they have the ability to heal, Angels are not the kind and caring creature of folklore. They are soldiers, first and foremost, and will challenge evil when found. The lowest of Angels is powerful enough to banish any Demon lower than an Arch Demon back to Hell and stands equal grounds with Arch Demons.
Angels are the best known to us because they share in our vulnerability to sinning. They also cross over the line of acting "too human" so often that the Higher Powers will often recall them to Heaven in order to remind them of the Orders of Heaven.
Archangels
The word archangel comes from the Greek αρχάγγελος (archangělǒs), meaning chief angel. It derives from the Greek archō, meaning to be first in rank or power; and aggělǒs which means messenger. This suggests that they are the highest ranking angels.
They, along with the guardian angels, are guardians of people and all things physical. But don't call on them to help you personally; archangels respond best when dealing with matters involving all humankind. They are the first order of angels that appear only in human form.
The combat capabilities of Arch Angels match even those of the Fallen. They will obliterate any Demon that comes into their path but they do not seek them. With their power Arch Angels are expected to carry out the higher Orders of Heaven and do not enter Earth except during great moments of crisis that threaten either Prophets or all of Humanity.
Seraphim
These are the angels who are closest to God. They encircle his throne and emit an intense fiery light representing his love. Seraphim are considered "fiery serpents" and not even the other divine beings may look at them. There are only four of them and each has four faces and six wings. When they come to Earth, they leave their serpent appearance behind, preferring tall, thin, clean-cut human embodiments.
They are the angels of birth and death. They monitor the forces of hell directly. They are the Generals in the battles between Heaven and Hell. They are the decision makers and they are the ones of receive the Orders of Heaven and pass them on to all other Angels. There are some who believe that they also preside over demons who wish to overthrow the world, while others believe the Seraphim themselves are the evil ones.
The Seraphim have six wings; two covering their faces, two covering their bodies ("feet"), and two with which they fly.

Hierarchy of Heaven
The Heavens are full of different types of angels, as well as those who choose to wander the soil of Earth protecting man and safeguarding their souls from the Fallen.
There are three different courts of Angels, each court governing the specialties and focus of each celestial being. Courts also govern the power that each Angel wields. Though all Angels essentially have the same powers they differ in strength.
Third Court
Angels who function as heavenly messengers and soldiers. These Angels are face to face with the suffering of man on a day to day basis, and as such their actions carry with them a "human" touch, a fact often looked down upon by Angels of the other courts.
Angels of the Third Court have the following abilities:
Enhanced Strength - Not enough strength to punch a hole through a solid wall of steel but it is enough to snap a neck with minimal effort. Telekinesis - You can repel and attract people and objects to yourself with minimal effort. You can even do so with many people and objects though your concentration will waver with each additional body and object. Teleportation - Angels are notorious for showing up when they want and where they want, though there are certain wards and rituals that will keep them at bay, the more knowledge they have of the earthly realm the easier it is for then to teleport where they wish Healing - In harmony with Will, for the most part, Angels are granted the gift of Grace and have the power to bestow life on humans Invulnerability - Angels can hurt but the only thing that takes damage from weapons such as guns and blades is the human vessel.
Second Court
Angels of the Second court work as heavenly governors. These Angels interact with humans on a greater scale, and are the best sources for knowledge. Scholors and Philosophers, these Angels are concerned with large scale phenomena, and less that of individual plights.
Angels of the Second Court have more advanced powers than the third:
Time Travel - Travel to Earth is not restricted and neither is the use of Heaven's Will. Trusted by the Lord to carry out his orders they are granted the power to break the barrier of past and present, never to change the outcome of things, but for the sake of gaining knowledge. Banishing Demons to Hell - With a touch of the hand and a powerful ritual, one conjured by thought and concentration, an Angel can remove a demon from a possessed human body. Magic Rituals from Before the Fall - Magical Rituals range from abilities, particular outcomes, and augmentation of powers, and more.
PM ROBAYN BEFORE THE USE OF RITUALS
First Court
Angels of first court work as heavenly guardians of God's throne. These Angels are the least concerned with matters of Earthly nature, but instead govern matters of Heaven. Rarely do the Angels of the First Court intervene in Earthly matters, but when they do it is said that the forces of Hell will not stand to the glory of their beauty and might.
The powers of the First Court are all of those of the Courts below them and greater, so great that they cannot be listed. They are the brothers and sisters of Lucifer, the fallen Angel, and his equal in might and power.

Martyrs These humans abstain from Sin in any shape or form, attempting to lead a life of purity and encourage others to do so as well. These humans are the targets of many a demon, as the more pure a soul is, the more power a demon will gain from corrupting it.
Many of these humans have guardian angels watching over them and guiding them, marking them for a greater destiny than those around them. They walk with the confidence of one graced by Angels and as such live healthier and luckier, than their fellow men. Not in the habit of keeping the spoils of these gifts to themselves, those on the route of the Martyr reach out to those around them and present themselves to those in need.

Sinners These humans indulge in as many pleasures and Vices they can in one life. Not above even the greater Sins these humans are out for themselves and no one else. Though their souls are not as valuable in the underworld, Demons will still takes these souls because they can be corrupted in greater quantity. Angels also watch these souls waiting for the right moment to turn them from their paths, to offer redemption, and turn their Will from negative to positive, though this rarely happens.
These souls also sometimes sell their souls willingly in order to get the chance to rise through the ranks of Hell on their own. Only the most evil and fearless humans will be eligible for this path.
