10. Characters background: Raised in the wild north from a young age by a wandering tribe of "Barbarians", Helmod learned the ways of the Berserker- how to harness his rage to make him an unstoppable killing machine. His half-giant heritage only helped to hone him into the instrument of terror he is- tremendous size, incalculable strength, and an uncanny ability to resist pain and cold. They tough him their creed- that the highest honor a warrior can earn is to perish in battle- NOT from your opponent's blows or blade, but from exhaustion. To kill as many people as possible in a battle before collapsing and being whisked away to Valhalla. When he was 17, he moved further south, where an expedition was taking place. When the ship crashed, he found himself along with many other warriors on a deserted island. Pledging himself in allegiance to one of the kings didn't sound like his bag- he wanted to fight, not to be a lapdog, like most Knights. Setting out for the forests, he wanders from city to village and so forth, in search of two things- riches and worthy opponents.
