Alright So I loove the AFK Scarf.
I really want one but i'm sort of in a debate of how to purchase it.
Should i get it with Gcash? Or just gold?
And If i get it with gold how long should I wait till it goes down a bit to buy it?
And also....Do you think it's a good enough item to get more than one for now?

If you're buying with gold wait until the 22-27th to buy -possibly even the 15th of next month, they're inflated b/c of hype. I tend to be against using GC so that part is really up to you but on the plus side of buying with GC it's 100% profit for you. It's too early to tell how successful the item will be I can only say watch prices carefully to see how it fast it deflates and by how much as these will help you determine to an extent how good of an investment they will be.

Watching how fast the price has dropped on this just today, I'd agree with Cryptex x100 about waiting to purchase. There's still not enough data to know if this is going to be a good or merely average hoard.

So the price for MCs naturally jumps on the 25th, which is nothing to be worried about, just means either buy sooner or wait longer. And yeah, waiting until the 15th of the next month isn't a bad idea. The prices on January MCs are halfway decent right now.

Anyone think that this will be a good investment? Yes, IMO the OMG Scarf sucked but considering the coloring of this item and the fact that it has a cute little kitten actually gives me incentive to think this could be a rather decent investment. Thoughts?

Most times that they release an item based on the success of another item it ends up being worthless after the first month. As kiwi said though the color scheme matches a lot more that the last incarnation so at some point there could be a spike in demand.

I've been thinking more about these scarves, and I'm starting to think that longer term they may have some potential.
Here's my reasoning: investors have been burned on pretty much all the "neo-classic" scarves/sashes Gaia has been releasing lately. Why? A combination of turd-like poses that are hard to use on avis, overhoarding, and a general slow down of the Gaian economy (which I plan to write about Real Soon Now when I'm in a wordy mood).
So now we have another one that does have a cute pose....and the price is dropping faster after release than any of the previous ones. This seems to indicate that there isn't anything propping up the price - like oh, say, investors - so it's falling to its natural level a lot more, well, naturally.
Short term, this means people aren't buying right now. Longer term, this points to a lower overall supply(*) of these, which is necessary for prices to rise.
But what's also necessary for a price increase is demand....and right now, I'm seeing mixed results on that at best. And it's a huge concern, because it doesn't matter how limited an item is - if no one wants it, the price isn't going to do very much.
This all sounds very wishy washy because yes, right now I'm very mixed on this item until I have more data. My recommendation is to continue to watch and wait and see what happens before you make your own buy or no buy decisions.
(*)Supply is not currently limited. Not while it's still available for purchase until the end of the month.
