Today it was time for Chailai to get some new toys for her room, something that she'd been wanting to do... well, since she had first come home with her new mother. Considering the girl's love of everything fairytale related, and her quiet love of crafts, Trois had chosen a hobby store as a good place to look for something for her. They could get her little dolls and castles that Trois could help her colour and put together - at least that way he could have something to do when he was forced to be with her at all times.

This time, the little girl was up in her Mama's arms, snuggling against her a bit tiredly. Her tail waved around behind her gently. It was relatively early in the morning, so the girl still hadn't woken up completely, and thusly wasn't about to complain about... well, anything. On top of that, she was ready to simply lay there instead of managing to get herself lost and in need of another knight or another prince charming.

The sight of the different things in the store, however, definitely woke her up a little bit, and she wiggled until her mother let her down. She scuttled across the hardwood floor, tail held up happily as she peered at the many different boxes scattered around the small store. Her ears twitched at the small amount of noise in the place as she poked at a few of the different little boxes, wondering what the magical letters said to someone who knew their languages, in awe of the many pretty pictures on the different boxes. So many little towers!!

Perhaps Fitzroy was a little too old to be perusing a hobby shop, or too young depending on your view, but either way, he wasn't the kind of person to care. An eager toothy smile was on his face as he scoured the shelves for models to build and a slightly more childish vice: those oversized velveteen coloring posters, the kind that always had some ridiculous nature scene and came with five crappy markers. Both captured his interest, but models often frustrated him, challenging his unique hands in a way he wasn't practiced with. Which was of course why he did them, but there was only so much a person could take. That was where the posters came in, so contrived and simple that he took pleasure in showing off with them, using his personal markers to make the scenes really come to life.

Therefore, Fitzroy was loitering in the more artsy section of the shop, looking for one of those things, or really anything else that caught his eye. However, he was looking so intently that he failed to notice the little girl in his path. Like the doofus he was, Fitzroy bumped into her, almost knocking her over. With a gasp, he was immediately at her side, smiling nervously and hoping nothing was wrong.

"Oh gosh, I'm sorry sweetie! I didn't see you there, I'm just too tall, I guess. Not that that's an excuse or anything." He laughed nervously, patting the girl's rich brown hair softly as he took in her fancy clothes. A little princess, to be sure. "You're not hurt, are you? Little princesses like you aren't used to taking such tumbles."

If there was one thing that the little princess wasn't expecting, it was being run into, especially by someone so much bigger than she was. She squealed in surprise, falling against one of the nearby boxes as she clutched her model castle to her chest. The corners of the box dug into her delicate flesh, causing her to cry out before she flopped onto her knees, eyes teary. Mmph! She needed to have more protection more often!!

However, the way that the boy freaked out certainly made her feel a bit better; it proved that he actually felt bad for what he did. Besides, he was trying to make her feel better, too. She blinked as her hair was pat, still staring up at him with those watery green eyes of hers. A smile slipped onto her face when the man obviously knew that she was a princess, tail flicking a little bit as she shook her head. "No, we ae not. Zhank jou for jour apologizing, zhough. It is very kind."

Even though Fitzroy already felt terrible for knocking into a little girl, her tear-filled eyes only tugged at his heartstrings even more. He smiled kindly down at her, sadness in his eyes as he kneeled down and offered a hand to help her up. "Well, of course, little princess. You have to be kind to royalty, it's the rules after all!" He chuckled lightly and gently picked her up, placing her back on her feet. "There, all better now, right?"

"Now, what's your name, little one? And what is this?"
Fitzroy bent down to peer at her box, and smiled widely at her selection. "Ooh, that looks fun! I was never good at models." He held out his hand for her to see and wiggled his fingers. "My fingers get in the way. I'm better at artier things."

Luckily for Fitzroy, Chailai was a child who was easily impressed by talents. When the stronger boy's hands easily picked her up off of the ground, she gasped softly, holding tighter to the box that was still grasped in her small arms. Green eyes gazed up the male's wide arms, to where they connected to his equally-sized chest, at which moment the young girl realized that she was speaking, of course, to a giant. She gasped in surprise at this realization, stumbling back a bit and barely catching herself before she stumbled, tail standing tall and ears pointed outward.

"Moi?" she asked,
gesturing toward herself. Polite little thing that she was, she placed the box back on the ground to curtsy to this new person as she introduced herself. "I am Princess Chailai Daciana Lawrence," she said, dipping low before popping back up, a sweet smile on her face. "And 'o are jou, Mister...?"

When the three-fingered hands were wiggled in front of her eyes, Chailai's face lit up. She grasped at the male's black-nailed hand, inspecting it curiously with a bright smile on her speckled face. "Zhey are very different from anyzhing zhat I 'ave seen! 'Ow do jou draw wizh zhem?!" The girl blushed as soon as she realized how rude her question was, ears tipping back and hands dropping away from his kidnapped one. "I-I am sorry. I did not mean to be rude..."
