Faleen was used to being up early, On most days she was required to report to robotics for her shift at 8AM sharp, and she was particularly excited to get back into her work since she had been injured during the mission. Today though, she was up even earlier than normal, There was one thing she had to see to before she could resume her duties.
Waking up early, and getting ready for the day, once again dressed in a clean, and neatly pressed Grunt's uniform, Gray skirt smoothed out, fitting her body with her posture in a proud, professional stance, black sturdy boots warn up to the bottom of her knee, over a length of black leggings. Faleen stood, her hands laying at either of her sides, a strap of three pokeball and two dusk ball hooked to her thigh, hair pulled back away from her face in a high pony tail.
The dark blond grunt stood at the entrance of the training hall, quietly waiting for a fellow grunt she had made an appointment with.

Psy! DUCK! Psy! DUCK! Psy! DUCK! Pssssssssyyyyyy Duuuuck!
The irritating chime of the pokemon shaped alarm clock roused the slumbering medic from her light sleep; it was early. Almost too early to actually be stumbling out of bed and dredging through her morning routine, yet Acacia found herself doing just that. Sitting up the slender built light-haired grunt licked her lips then yawned loudly as she pulled her self out of her silk sheeted bed and staggered in her dratini footsie pajamas towards the bathroom. Minutes bled into over half and hour before the light-haired medic exited fully dressed; prim and proper with her freshly washed hair gelled and styled in proper place.
Getting fully into the morning grind Acacia prepared her satchel as well as buffed and filed her well-maintained nails, she had a heavy schedule set for the day and needed to look her best, professionally perfect in every aspect including a light bit of make-up; lip gloss, power concealment, eyeliner, and a touch of pink shadow which made her crimson hued eyes sparkle and pop substantially.
Checking her watch the light-haired medic paced herself towards the training grounds of the base, she was fairly early for the arrangement that she had made with fellow grunt Faleen however she preferred to be early rather than late any giving day and today was no exception to that mentality.
Peering into the expansive room that was used for exercising and battling purposes Acacia gave a small stiff wave towards the woman that was waiting for her, the buzzing in the pit of her stomach twisted painfully as she realized that she herself would be testing her darling pokemon within a matter of moments.
“Good morning, Faleen. I hope that I haven't kept you waiting too long. And I apologize if I have.”

Even though Faleen showed up early, it didn't take long for Acecia to show up down the hall, getting Faleen's attention quite quickly, returning the greeting with a polite smile of her own, and a hand being raised when she asked if Faleen had been waiting long. "Good morning, I was here early, and it looks like your a bit early yourself, so thats good, we can get started here pretty fast"
Shifting her stance, sliding a boot out to be able to turn her body to fully face the medical grunt. "There are a lot of free rooms, I checked, thankfully not a lot of training gets done this early in the morning, and we'll be out of here before the morning trainers usually get here." With that Faleen gestured for the other women to follow her, turning she made her way down the hall.

“I see,” Acacia drawled with a bit of disdain in her voice, the creeping uneasiness was weighting heavily on her stomach, exhaling thankfully for her lack of eating breakfast the pale complexioned woman nodded towards the technician and followed her very closely as if she were intimidated by the expanse of space. She looked sick and uneasy as moved down the hallway nearly stepping on the back of Faleen's boots as she did so. “This is a little scary, I have never been in the training rooms before, normally I take Ampule outside for training. We have been working on building up an electrical tolerance and lately his attitude has really improved since we made friends with Palu and Tamie.”
Acacia was thankful for the small amount of concealment makeup she had applied earlier that morning, grateful that it would cover the dark blush that she could feel easing her neck and into her cheeks. “So how have you been, how are the stitches doing? Well I hope. Any itching or peeling? Discomfort? Any drainage or fever?”

Faleen kept at a steady pace, glancing over her shoulder at the other Grunt who was following closely behind her, listening to her voice her concern and plans for her water type "I wouldn't waist your energy on a training style like that" She added after a moment's consideration "Building a tolerance might sound nice, but its extremely difficult to accomplish, and in the long run, for as much effort as one puts into it, its not nearly as rewarding a result as it might sound. Water will always be weak to electric, as Psychic will always be devastated by Dark" She did pause at a room, reaching out to type in her key code to allow them access. "Don't be scared of this place, you should get used to it soon enough, its a good place to train when you don't want to go very far." she offered the medic a small smile of encouragement before gesturing her into the room.
"I'm doing fine, its feeling much better already, I've been able to sleep more" This pleased her quite a bit, she was able to function normally. "Go a head and take your place on the other side of the ring, and let your pokemon out, we'll get started"
The room was one of the smaller training rooms, Faleen didn't expect they had to worry to much about space for this battle. It did have a pool in part of the arena, for water types.

'she is ridiculing me and my training tactics?! How dare she belittle me! Arrogant b—'
Acacia's heated thoughts were cut short when the grunt known as Faleen offered her a small smile and encouraged her to not be scared of the battle grounds since they were a good source of training if she didn't wish to go too far out of her way. Turning her head away from the other woman's gaze the slender built woman scoffed underneath her breath then made her way into the small chamber with a pond structure built into the room.
Tilting her head over her shoulder the white-haired medic forced herself to spare a smile at the blonde woman, even if she didn't have faith in her training methods it was not really a full reason to be aggressive towards her fellow grunt, pulling Ampule's pokeball from her belt loop around her slender waist Acacia nodded and approached the area that she needed to stand in.
The burning singe deeply set into her chest was enough to cause a bit of discomfort to the fidgeting twenty-four year old, exhaling loudly the medic lowered herself onto one knee as she rolled the red and white capturing device in her left hand looking at it fondly before releasing the pokemon from within it.
A loud yawn escaped smacking blue lips as chubby hands sought tired eyes and rubbed vigorously, like a small child trying to ward off slumber. “Good morning my sweet little boy,” Acacia greeted the barrel chested Big Jaw pokemon affectionately then pulled the small creature into a loving hug. “We have a battle this morning okay Ampule? I want you to try your best but have fun okay. Now, lets get you out of your pajamas so you can get ready.”
Nodding his head mutely the little blue crocodile continued to rub his eyes for a few more moments before allowing his owner to help him slid out of she sleeper wear, light blue pajamas ceased off of his pudgy frame as he wiggled and stepped out when Acacia directed him to do so.
Standing upright the sharp featured woman brushed her well groomed hair away from her face and smirked confidently towards Faleen, she could careless about what the woman thought of her at the moment, she wasn't trying to impress her. Crossing her arms over her chest with the feraligatr footsie jumper in hand Acacia smirked a bit more cheekily; revealing her glistening white teeth.
“We are ready over here.” Loudly announced the medic as she patted the top fin of her blue companion, nodding with vigor Ampule began to stretch and limber up while setting his normally cheerful demeanor into something stern and focused.
“Todi.” Ampule confirmed as well and lowered his body towards the ground and held the position while eying Faleen almost predator like.

Faleen noticed a new stiffness, or an almost disinterest in the other women's posture, uncertain why it might have come up so suddenly, but it didn't take long for her to assume it might have been something she had recently said, This didn't bother Faleen, if the girl wanted to take offense, then she was more than welcome to, even though Faleen had not meant it. The grunt allowed her to pass, her smile remaining on her face with an absent minded feel behind it while she moved into the room after the medic, waiting for her to get to the other side, while she took up the box on her own side.
Her smile became a little strained, and then completely fell when the other girl released the Tododile. Hazel eyes blinked a couple of times, trying to understand what was happening in front of her. It was a personal thing, she didn't understand why people coddled pokemon like that, She understood caring about pokemon, but treating the totodil in such a pampered way was probably why it was acting out in the first place, she had seen similar behaviors with several other pokemon, some she knew personally from past colleagues.
Faleen wasn't at all confusing the reason for being here however, this was a challenge, not a training. There were consequences to actions, and the totodile would learn that.
Reaching down to pluck up one of the Duskballs from the strap on her thigh, she wordlessly enlarged the black and green sphere before tossing it out into the field. Bursting open upon impact with the floor, a darkness gushed from the split seme, and splattered for the ground with its dark light. quickly it gathered back up, the darkness forming a shaped mass before it suddenly broke away, a revealed a solid form.
Thick claws slide gently over the ground as Absol widened his stance a little, the white main of his fur bristled from the energy that returned to the Duskball, than back into his master's hand. When eyes opened, the blacked gaze flicked only once toward a pale human, before a stoic expression suddenly locked onto its opponent. Fur bristled along his back in silent excitement.... this was not Umbreon, or Banette he was about to battle, this was something new.
Faleen captured the ball, and lowered her arm to her side.

'An absol. This was not going to be good. Not at all. None of Ampule's moves will be very effective. Avoid using Bite, it will be ineffective. Dammit, this cuts his moves down to two. Well, this isn't training, this is serious. I don't care if we lose, he just needs to give it his all, we aren't always going to win. But still---dammit! That absol is serious, it isn't gonna go easy on him just cause he is little. Dammit!'
The pop that escaped from the slender woman's neck broke the silence that filled the void between the two grunts, again long fingers stroked the top of the rough red fin set high on the totodile's back before tapping it just once.
The signal was sent, Ampule launched himself forward nearing the arena towards his opponent then slid to a halt waiting for instructions of his owner.
“Alight Faleen, what are the rules?” Acacia inquired as she crossed her arms over her chest and looked towards the other woman's face, a wane smile set on her pale complexioned visage.

"Nothing fancy." she replied "Standard rules, one pokemon each, until one is incapacitated" As she spoke, Absol had started striding forward toward the very middle of the ring, eyes never once leaving the Totodile, looking almost eager to pounce.
"When you are ready, you may begin the rounds." She offered her fellow grunt, knowing Absol was ready for the battle. Faleen's stance remained calm, and still, arms pressed against her back as she stood up straight, her eyes drifting from Absol, to Ampule, then up to Acacia, waiting to see what her first move was going to be, the attack she was going to direct Absol to already at the tip of her tongue.

(Question, did you want to just RP it out, or did you wish to use a hit point and dice system? Just let me know we can come up with something. If not that is cool! Just let me know.)
Acacia nodded mutely at Faleen's words, taking in a deep lungful of air the slender built medic held her breath then exhaled through her nose evenly. “Alight,” closing her vivid red hues for a moment Acacia eased the trembling in her hands; snapping her eyes open the white-haired rookie martial artist shot her hand out holding out two fingers then let out a long whistle. “I see you, in I.C.U.!”
Snarling with uncanny ferocity Ampule kicked away from the ground beneath his clawed feet and rolled forward while keeping his deep crimson eyes locked on his target. “DILE!” Screamed the barrel chested water-type as he unleashed a torrent of water from his widely opened maw.

Faleen's looks didn't change from its humorless expression when the other grunt spoke again, making not comment in return, she did look over to the Pokemon when the water type threw an attack at her Absol.
The water gun hit Absol full on in the chest, soaking into his heavy main and spraying up violently into his face and up his nose. the force of the attack knocked him backwards, where he tumbles, and struggled to catch his balance, long claws screaming on the flooring as he dug in. When the stream of water ended, Absol was left standing, body tense from the pain that short through his back, and numbness of his chest from the pressure of the water. Faleen only allowed a couple of seconds for Absol to choke, and hack to get the water out of his mouth and nose, before she commanded her own order to him. "Absol, Ice beam."
The dripping creature turned his stoic eyes upward, letting out another snort to force water out, he then lifted his head up, jaw dropping to bare his teeth at Ampule. just as soon as his mouth was open wide enough, a bright white and blue ball began to form in his mouth, pulsing and growing before a bean shot from it, and streaked toward the water type.

An ice attack?! But that isn't very effective against water-types. I wonder what she is getting at.
Ampule needed no instruction from his trainer as his hardened crimson eyes dilated at the initial sight of the absol's attack, there was no chance to completely move out of the way of the assault although maneuvering would drop his defenses near to null. Snapping his maw closed and bracing himself Ampule readied his barrel shaped frame for brunt of the special attack, the bitter bite of the ice encased his small pudgy body; pain flooded his senses for a brief moment before the blue Big Jaw pokemon broke from his imprisonment and rushed forward.
The stinging was a harsh reminder against his scaled body and even though the ice attack was not very effective against him the chill of the move unsettled him, his focus strained as chips and chunks of frozen water remained on his diminutive figure weighting him down heavily.
As if she herself could feel his distress Acacia called out to her sole companion in a firm yet affectionate tone. “Keep your head on your shoulders, Make Your Rounds!” Exuberantly ordered the white-haired rookie medic, her left hand clearly held up a single finger as she cheered on her totodile with confidence.
The command was received loud and clear to the small crocodile, lashing out once he was within physical striking distance Ampule used Scratch on the foe in hopes to deal damage, even though he was on the assault the energetic water-type made sure to keep his guard up; the pool of crystalline liquid was a safe haven if he needed to seek refuge, another notion that he kept in the back of his mind as he unleashed his physical attack.
(100 sided dice was rolled to see if the 10% chance of Freezing occurred. I hope that is okay. If not just tell me and I will change it.)

Absol watched as the ice struck the water type, forming around it, but not even so much as blinking when it broke out and charged. He lowered his head, eyes narrowing as another attack was struck at him, claws striking the part of his body with the least amount of fur.
Faleen's expression didn't change as she watched the fight, though her head did tilted to the side a little as she eyed the water pokemon. It did have vigor, she had been curious to see how it handled battle.
Hazel eyes glanced back over at Absol when he let out a yelp, and leaped away from the Totodile. a clawed mark in his side. Absol leaped up, over the Totodile, nearly clearing the arena with his bound. She had seen what she needed to, had Umbreon been out, she would be able to draw this out, but Absol wasn't a pokemon who could take a lot of hits, she could already tell his movement was being hampered from those attacks he already took. Despite his defense, there was one thing that Absol was good for. "Night Slash" She gave her next order, and the Absol spun around quickly, the horns over his head already taking on a dark aura. lips pulled back from his fangs as he snarled at Totodile, before streaking forward, to slice his dark into Ampule.

The retaliatory attack caught the totodile off guard, he had not expected such at stellar feet of agility from his foe. The dynamics of the arena prevented any sort of useable cover. The pond was too far away to dive into for cover, this battle was already over before it had even began. Steadying his stout frame Ampule collected another burst of energy, as the attack struck viciously against his blue scaled form; a stream of water erupted from his snout even as darkness enveloped his consciousness.
He was down for the count.
“Dammit,” Acacia growled heatedly, her facial features loosing the elegant poise and glamorous refrain that her face normally held; the professional demeanor shattered and broken with a subtle rage. “Please call Absol off.” She stated firmly, it tone in which she spoke it was apparent that it was more than just a request, it was a demand. She didn't want to see her baby get hurt any further; he had given it his all and that was good enough for her.

Absol had driven his attack through, the ground under his claws screaming as he drew himself to a stop, turning to face his opponent once again only to find the Totodile on the ground, and not moving anymore, the lengthy form of the dark Pokemon relaxed, when it was clear that it was the end of the battle, and Faleen hadn't given another command to him. Though the swear from the human on the other side, and the sudden bursting demand from her drew Absol's attention.
Faleen didn't look remotely amused as he edges of her eyebrows twitched upward, giving the other grunt a calm, but cool stare. Acacia lacked rank, and reason to be demanding anything from Faleen. "I have complete control over my pokemon Acacia, I please request you not tell me how to direct my Absol, and worry about your own." It was a polite request, spoken in a dignified, and calm tone. Acacia clearly had trouble controlling the actions of her Pokemon, or they wouldn't have had this battle in the first place, and Faleen did not appreciate this, but It was a mild annoyance at best, and Faleen wasn't going to hold it against the grunt. "You have the power to recall your own pokemon Acacia." She reminded the white haired women.
