Fingers ran through strands of dark blond hair, forming them temporarily into a form that freed the tips from under the neck of the shift she had just recently acquired.
Freeing her hair to drape back around her shoulders, a soft sigh escaping from the women’s lips as Hazel eyes scanned over the many racks and stands, holding a variety of different colors clothes and accessories.
This was not at all what she had planned for the day, She had a small pile of drawn specs and measurement calculations sitting on her work bench at the Robotics division that she had wanted to go through, but instead she was standing by the door of some clothe store in the city, a gray messenger bag hung from her shoulder, three pokeball and two dusk ball attached to the strap of the bag.
her hair down and loose, but there was a drastic difference in her casual attire this day, while normally she would be wearing baggie pants and shirts, today she had on a pair of blue jeans, boot cut down over her pair of sturdy combat boots, and green quarter sleeve shirt, that actually fit her.
And while this wasn’t her idea, it was the idea of another Grunt, named Kofuku.
Faleen hadn’t seen the grunt that she used to be close to for some time, without word of where she had gone, and what happened to her.
Faleen had been on her way toward the robotics lab to pass the time before her shift started when she had run into the Grunt.
It had been her insistent behavior that brought Faleen to a girls shopping day… or so that’s what Kofuku called it.
Her Hazel eyes found the pink haired girl, Faleen already checked out and ready to leave the store in her new clothes… it’s been a while since she wore clothes like this. It was a little odd.

"Alright! All set!" With a bright smile, Kofuku walked up behind Faleen, sporting her newest look. Her violet-pink hair now hung freely straight down her back as she came out of the bathroom in the new clothes she'd bought. Instead of going for her usual miniskirt and tank top, She had grabbed a pair of khaki capris and wore a light blue t-shirt with a dark blue button up shirt over the top and hanging open. There was something different about her, the funk that had hung over her for so long since the falling out with Panther no longer had a grip on her.
Linking her arm with Faleen, Kofuku grinned widely. "God it feels so good to be hanging with you! Lets go get some ice cream and sit in the park. So much to catch up on, right?" She adjusted the mini backpack, which held basic first aid, flash cards, money, and a few of her pokemon's pokeballs as well as a couple empties; one could never be too well prepared.

Faleen turned when she heard the familiar voice of Kofuku, eyes blinking in sudden mild surprise when the other girl grabbed up her arm into her own.
"Oh"
Her first couple of steps were stumbled, but she regained her stride, and moved with the other grunt out of the store.
"uh, alright" She was the same person Faleen had known, thats for sure, Kofuku hadn't changed much, Faleen supposed she hadn't changed much either.
"I guess I have a bit more time before I have to report for shift" she replied. sliding her hands under the strap of her messenger bag to hitch it up higher onto her shoulder.
"It has been a while..." Faleen noted, knowing a lot has happened for her since the last time she saw Kofuku.

"Heehee! Yay!" Nearly bouncing as she walked, it was clear that Kofuku was in a more than good mood. Leaning a little against Faleen, she guided her friend down the streets towards the park.
"So what have you been up to? Do you think you're going to be given a raise soon?" A mischievous look came over her face as she walked up to the little rolling cart that was selling ice cream. "How's it going with Hayes?"

"Oh, you know," Faleen said, making her strides longer and quicker to keep up, she was glad her back was nearly completely healed, or this would be very painful. "Keeping busy with work and training, the robotics division's been taking up most of my time, but you know me... I wouldn't have it any other way"
She paused at the cart, giving the man who was taking orders a blank look for a long moment, before quickly speaking the first flavor that she read, not really caring what it was, she probably wasn't going to eat much of it.
"Its uncertain if I've qualified yet, nothing has happened so far, but I'm not concerned with it at this moment" ... this was quickly becoming a concern, simply becasue her Grunt status greatly hampered what she was permitted to do.
At the question about Hayes, Faleen glanced over at her, brow furrowed in question. "Hayes? what about him?"
Paying the man when he handed her the ice cream without saying anything to him as she took the small disposable bowl, that sat in her palm.
She remembered one of the last conversations they had a while back, and she raised her brown again, giving Kofuku a careful look
"Like I said, I've been busy with my work, and the programmers with theirs I'm certain. I seldom see him, and even less often speak with him." That should hamper where Kofuku might want to be bringing this conversation.
Rather than eat a scoop of her ice cream, Faleen busied herself with stabbing and mixing it with her plastic spoon while she turned and made her way into the park.

Someone else was spending the day in the park, having taken someone's advice to get out more. Plus his Growlithe really liked coming out her and playing endless fetch. Although at the moment, the puppy was busy sniffing around bushes, checking out the scents that other Pokemon had left.
One red headed, visored grunt was sitting in a bench, only half paying attention to Komashi as he spoke into a cell phone.
Will pushed down his visor slightly to pinch the bridge of his nose in what seemed to be clear frustration. "I know, this is getting ridiculous. I plan to finish it soon."

Taking the waffle cone with the double scoop of mint chip, Fuku stuck her tongue out and started licking while listening to her companion talk. Her brows shot up a little when Faleen mentioned she hadn't really been hanging much around Hayes.
"Really...? I mean, you guys were seriously awesome together. Both smart with science, kinda nerdy- in a good way of course!" She quickly made the save there, laughing a little. "I dunno, I guess I'm just kinda surprised that you don't really talk with him. Not like I'm one to talk about not being busy..."
After walking down the park path for a few minutes and briefing Faleen on the crazy studying on top of the shrink she'd finally been able to stop seeing, Kofuku paused and blinked a couple times as they passed a figure on a park bench. Looking back, she squinted a little, then grinned as she recognized the familiar red head. "Will? Is that really you?"

Faleen hummed once softly when Kofuku went on about Hayes, once again shrugging a shoulder as she eyes her melting ice cream.
"He's a talented programmer, and useful ally, there are not many I can have discussions about Robotics and tech with, but It has nothing to do with that," she reminded the other grunt "I know your opinions on the matter, but my job's very important to me Kofuku, that is where my attention is supposed to be."
She had worked so hard to be able to work in the robotics division, it felt so good to be a part of it now.
In usual Faleen fashion, she appeared completely indifferent to the conversation, keeping her eyes on the little task of melting down her mystery ice cream, eventually lifting the spoon, and sticking a small ammount into her mouth.
It was at this point when she noticed a Growlithe by the bushes, not to far from where they were walking.
The female Grunt paused, spoon in her mouth as she eyed this fire type... it looked familiar.
"... Komashi" she called, in an inviting tone, to get its attention.
Not long after, she heard Kofuku call out to a "Will"

Hearing her name, the Growlithe looked up, her tail starting to wag... until she realized who it was. Then the wag slowed down considerably as she eyed Faleen with suspicion, and let out a bark. It seemed she still held a bit of a grudge for her.
The bark and someone calling his name, alerted Will, and he glanced up, setting a familiar head of pink hair. Blinking once, he listened to the voice on the other end of the phone while pushing up his visor all the way again.
"I have to go," he then said to the phone, before ending the conversation and putting it away. An awkward smile spread across Will's face. He well remembered the last time he had seen her. "Hey, Kofuku..." Then he noticed her companion. "... and Faleen."

Not surprised with the change of attitude from the Growlithe, it seemed Faleen and fire types didn't really get along very well, but it was a friend's pokemon... she might as well try.
remembering something that -might- help, Faleen crouched down, ice cream in one hand, spoon still in her mouth, she used to the other hand to reach into her messenger bag not supported on the grass.
"Here Komashi, look, I'll try and make peace with you." she spoke, pulling the spoon out of her mouth.
Her free hand pulled out and held a couple of treats in her palm, offering them over to Komashi.
Glancing over to Will when he spoke her name, she smiled in greeting "Hello Will, how have things been?"
It appeared he already knew Kofuku, this made her curious as to how they already knew one another.

"It really is you! Wow, it's been such a while! How have you been?" Kofuku glanced at Faleen as the dirty blond approached the Growlithe. Judging by the puppy pokemon's reaction, Faleen didn't seem to be making a new friend with it.
Will's words, however, brought Kofuku's attention back with wide eyes. "Wait, you guys know each other?" She looked back and forth between the two, blinking a couple times, wondering how the heck Faleen knew him.

Will gave Kofuku an uneasy smile. "Uh, well.. I've been fine. Can't complain really." He then watched as Faleen attempted to make amends with Komashi. The Growlithe perking her ears up and sniffing towards the treat that she offered. Gradually she padded towards Faleen before reaching out to take the treat with her teeth.
"Quite well, actually." Will then responded to Kofuku's question. "Faleen has been helping me with training my Charizard, and she gave me Komashi there."

Faleen seemed quite proud of herself when Komashi came over finally and accepted the treat, smiling as she watched the pup eat it, before pushing herself back to her feet and looking over at Will, closing her bag up.
"Yeah, and please tell me your having better luck than I am" she said with a small half grin. She really did hope that his training with his Charizard was going well, she wasn't making any progress with the Charmeleon.
She glanced over at Kofuku, "Seems you know one another as well."

"Yeah, we met during the whole Panther fiasco.... god, I can't believe I was so stupid to fall for the git." Kofuku shook her head, then smirked and crossed her arms while cocking her hip to the side.
"Soooo, is this the real reason you didn't go after Hayes? I mean, Will's a cutie and all, but I'm not sure how well a long distance relationship works in our line of work." Ah yes, a path for hooking a friend up always presented itself.

Komashi happily munched on the treat, her tail wagging a bit more. Maybe this Faleen girl wasn't so bad after all?
As the girls talked, Will picked up a water bottle that was sitting next to him. Taking a moment to unscrew the lid an then put it to his lips. However, there was a sputtering sound during Kofuku's last sentence as the man choked on his water in mid sip.
