 Laelia had been enjoying herself, it was relaxing to lay out in the sun and dream of yummy things to eat. She would have to do something hunting soon, by the grumbled of her stomach sooner rather than later. Laelia had been on her own for a while now, without word from her mother, father or silbings. She often wondered how they were, or what they were up too... Frowning she shook off those depressing thoughts. Don't misunderstand, she was happy on her own but she did miss their presence.
Another loud grumble broke from her thoughts. Standing she stretched her limber body and purred when a few bones popped. "Mmmm, what to eat... what to eat." She thoughts aloud as she walked away from her current borrowed home heading towards the hunting grounds in rogue lands.

Duo yawned and stretched, shaking off sleep. The advantages of traveling in a group of three...made sure everyone got some REAL sleep. He looked around. Mmm...Sere was still up, and Shini and his nieces were still sleeping. Right than! He could go hunting, if the old cheetah was up! He started out.
"Going to get some grub for us, Pestilence!" The response from the cheetah sounded something along the lines of 'if you can actually catch something'. Duo wasn't sure...he mostly tended to ignore most of Sere's snippier comments. Especially when it was the end of the cheetah's watch. Duo immediately took to slinking through the tall grasses of the savanna, stealth mode on. Breakfast wasn't going to just let him eat kill it, after all! He had to be sneaky...
Of course, it was hard to be sneaky when one practically ran into the girl that had been downwind and around the rock in front of him. He stopped before he actually ran into her, staring a moment, then smiling. "Well! I go out lookin' for breakfast and find a pretty girl instead!"

To busy looking in another direction, she knocked into the male lion that had spoke a sentence infront of her. The knock had been a bit stronger then intended as she had been so focused on hunting that it had caused them both to tumble down with her ontop. Dazzed she looked down into the most prettiest eyes she had ever seen; a purpley-blue. "O-oh," She said breathlessly still ontop of him. "I am so sorry!"
She blushed as she blunderingly attempted to get up from the handsome male underneath her. 'Of course! Of course I run into a perfect male and my clutziness happens.' She thought to herself in embarassment. " I-I too was looking for something to eat as well." She cleared her throat to get rid of her nervousness. She finally had gotten up from ontop of him. "Well, that was an interesting way to meet someone." She laughed with humor at the situation.

And of course they ended up tumbling anyways. Duo shook his head, chuckling. "No worries, about it. I'm as much at fault as you, babe." He got up and shook himself, then grinned at her. "Well, I wouldn't mind some company while lookin' for prey. Especially company as pretty as you."
She really was a pretty lioness, with markings that were subtle and almost stealthy. It was pretty cool, actually! "Interesting is one way of putting it, yup. I'm Duo, by the way."

She laughed, one of relief that she hadn't scared off her male companion. It did happen once, long ago when she was but a teen. She shook her head from such thoughts and spoke again, "Oh, I would enjoy your company as well Duo." She sat almost regally and lifted her right paw as if to shake his. "It is very nice to meet you. My name is Laelia and I must say you have some interesting markings upon your fur." She was about to speak some more when a grumbling seemed come out from her stomach.
" Oops," Laelia giggled. " I guess that is our cue to go find something to eat. Is there something you are interested in having? Are you familiar with the rogue lands?" She watched the male with a titled head, she didn't recall ever meeting one such as him before. But then again it is almost impossible to know everyone in the rogue lands or Africa itself. "Do you have family here?" She was always one for conversations and often asked many questions.

Okay...this was a lady he liked! Not afraid to admit when her own stomach made such a growl! Duo gave her a rather dashing grin. "Well, I've been in the rogue lands for a bit, actually, Laelia. I'm quite familiar with them, and I can find us somethin' to eat pretty quick!" He wasn't sure if she was new to the rogue lands, or a veteran but...meh. Her question about family got a nod. "Yup. I was actually out huntin' for the lot of us. We tend to take turns, since my sister's got cubs."

Laelia wandered even closer and almost purred in content. She did love a take charge kinda male and Duo certainly knew what he was doing. "Oh," She blinked cutely and smiled before continuing. " Babies! Congratulations to your sister, she must be so happy! I've always wanted to have cubs of my own." She brushed up against him flirtingly. " I just haven't met the right male, well until now." Laelia hoped her bluntness didn't scared Duo off, as that had happened to her before.

Duo nodded. "Thanks. Bein' an uncle is...well, pretty weird, t'be honest." He was a bit caught off guard by the fact SHE was hitting on HIM like that...but he wasn't going to complain! She was pretty, and had a mind of her own. He liked the latter, and the former was just honey on the catch. "Well now...how can you be sure I'm the right male?" A simple question, and nothing more. No rejection in his words, no worry. Just curiosity.

"I like that in a male~" She purred out. "Taking care of family shows maturity and I to answer your quesiton. I just know. There is something about you that has this charm and grace." Laelia tilted her head laughter in her voice, not judging just finding his question cute. " Why? Would you be interested in taking a walk with me? Just to see the sights and I need to stretch out these muscles of mine."

Charm and grace? Well...he supposed he had a sort of grace from being a master of stealth. And he seemed to have a way with words for the ladies. (Being truthful while flattering got one pretty damn far in getting them to at least smile. Females were so much prettier when they smiled.) He gave Laelia a smile of his own, bowing slightly. "Thanks for the compliment. I'd be happy to take a walk with one as pretty as you." He could keep an eye out for breakfast, too.

Laelia was having a good time with Duo, walking was always her favourite thing to do as it got the blood pumping. The day was perfect for it as well and that made it even better. Before she knew it time had passed a great deal and sun was setting in the sky. Dusk and stars were slowly appearing in the heavens, it really was such a pretty sight. Yawning quietly after hunting some cantalope together Laelia thought it was time to move forward. She turned her head towards Duo and smiled sleepily. "It was really nice to meet such a fine fellow such as yourself but I must head out now to find the path to home. I had a wonderful time. May our paths meet again in the future Sir Duo." That being said Laelia nuzzled his mane and slowly began her way home.
