I can do it!: Kuma Oh will. not. give. up! She is incredibly, almost stupidly persistent and will not give up on anything until it's completed. It's part of the reason she's at the academy- she made the goal to become stronger, and is not going to let go of it. Because of this, she's also very encouraging, and loves cheering other's on to do their best. She detests those who leaves things half done- especially food. Wasting food is like a sin to her. This quality causes a lot of exhaustion for her- she often overbooks her workload, and because of it, she's very sleepy most of the time. She can often be seen napping on the desks in the classrooms.
Shield Girl: Have you ever seen a mother bear around her cubs? Some female polar bears even attack male polar bears for coming near their cubs. Like a bear, Kuma absolutely obsesses over things that are hers. She's willing to do embarrassing things if it means protecting those items or people that are close to her. It also means she takes her relationships very seriously- she's not one for flings or one night stands. It sometimes puts her in awkward situations, but she can't help but do what she thinks is right.
Kuma used Calm Mind: Kuma doesn't really worry about things generally. While most people would worry about studying for that big Botany test, Kuma is busy sleeping on her massive pillow pile. She lets things come to her as they are, and unless they need major correcting, she won't fuss much. Of course, if someone says "here, use this chainsaw on yourself, it's magic so it won't hurt you," she's not stupid enough to just go with that flow. It's more like she doesn't worry about things that she normally should. However, she still has feelings- she sometimes gets worked up about things, has bad days, blows up at others, gets started easily. Overall she's simply chill in the most basic use of the word.
Always and Forever: Once Kuma trusts or understands someone, she tries not to turn her back against them. She will defend them unless they're horribly wrong, and believes in them to a point of gullibility. She will gladly skip parties to go help a friend with homework, and will do so happily, not holding a grudge. Of course, there are some things that can't be forgiven- things like cheating and murdering the innocent (unless for food of course!), but overall, Kuma tries to give her loved ones the benefit of the doubt. Repeated offenses don't go over well with her- just look at her family.
Flaws:
This is MINE: Kuma's s**t is HER s**t. You do not touch it, ever. She throws many frustrated hissy fits over people stealing things that belong to her. She doesn't mind if it's, say, a paper on her desk, they examine it, and then put it down. It's when they deliberately reach out, take something off her shelves and start playing with it. She's the same way with people who are close to her. While she is very protective of them, Kuma also becomes a bit possessive of people she loves. It just feels horribly wrong to her when people touch her things. , and she will politely ask you to put it back. If you don't, be prepared for her claws. Basically, this.
Sleeeepy: Ninety percent of the time, Kuma is sleeping, or daydreaming, or beginning to doze off. If she puts her mind to something, like overcoming her family, she really can get things done. But why listen to that boring speech in minpet's class about how finely groomed its tail is, when you can nap and dream yourself away to slumberland? Not to mention that naturally, Kuma is a werebear- and what do bears do in the winter time? They hibernate. Going to school doesn't give Kuma that luxury though, so she has to make it up throughout the year! She really does try to focus and what not, but she's just so ... tired ...
So ... wait what?: Partially because she's sleepy, and partially because of who she is, Kuma isn't the smartest minipet in the marketplace. It will often take multiple explanations for her to really hear and interpret what you're saying if it's complicated. She has to really poor over something if she wants to learn it- so things like fighting and offensive skills will come easily because its something she really wants to learn. Things like botony though will be a total snore- I mean plants? When is a werebear supposed to use that? (of course, that's only what Kuma thinks...). Even if she does like the subject, sometime her borderline narcoleptic habits get the better of her too, so she misses things that might've been important. Expect a lot of "what was the homework?" questions from her.
What do you- EEK!: Kuma is easily startled, especially by loud noises. Things like sneaking up behind her, alarms, cars roaring by, they all catch her surprisingly easy. Sleeping totally conks her out though- don't expect even a symbol to wake her up. It's the little things that get her- the poke on the shoulder when she's working really hard. The loud vroom from the ghost car that rolls by. She usually gives a frightened jump, and her eyes get real wide. An audible squeak can be heard, followed by embarrassed looks around her. It's not so much that she's paranoid, nor is she cautious or scared- she's just easily startled and loud about it. It partially comes from her older brothers always picking on her and playing pranks to make her exert FEAR.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy?
Simply put, Kuma is the runt of the family. And when you come from a family of five werebears, that means you're definitely not in a good position. Add two older brothers to this, and the mix is deadly. Kuma knows she is small, and has accepted this. However, she wants to attempt to defy this status, and prove to her family that she is worthy of being a werebear. She wants to learn spells and the such so that she can be a helpful addition to her family. Though she would never admit it, Kuma also subconsciously wants to run away from her family; always being the runt of the family means always getting picked on and pitied, which led to some nasty feelings for Kuma. However, Kuma's not fabulous at planning ahead, so her only goal at Amityville is to get stronger- whatever that means for her.
FEAR:
Natural Ability: Shapeshifting, of course. Kuma has two forms; Humanoid with bear ears and bear tail, and FREAKIN' GRIZZLY BEAR. Average werebear size is about 5-7 Feet (real world grizzlies are about 4-5, nevermind that, these are werebears! xD), but Kuma stands a measly 4 feet- laughable in werebear terms.
xxxxx- Excerpt about bear height: The height of a bear is measured from the bottom of its paw flat on the ground to the highest point of the shoulder.
Kuma's "bear" has the same color fur as her humanoid hair color. Her eyes also stay the same color, but turn bright crimson blood red when she is charging/attacking. She wants to learn to hide this eye color change, to keep her attacks from being so predictable (after all, what is a monster without his/her unpredictability?) Her forehead has a little, circular white mark, to distinguish her from other bears.
FEAR: A sort of clumsy charge at the enemy, followed by a swipe of the paw (claws extended, of course). However, she's very inexperienced, so it would be an easy attack to dodge- if you know when its coming. She's also not the ... fastest bear on the racetrack, if you catch my drift.
Possible extensions would be classes to learn speed spells, fighting experience, longer claws, etc. C:
Physical Description:
Stature: Kuma is smaller than average. She's a runt 8D I'm not talking midget, just shorter than the average humanoid. Like 4"11 ish?
Eye Colour: a soft lavendar-y sort of color?
Hair Colour/Style: #B06C4F-ish brown, very messy, with little pieces sticking out everywhere (but in a stylish sort of way?) is short, a little lower than where human ears would be place. Kuma has bear ears that stick out on top, like cat ears on those silly neko headbands.

Skin Colour: stereotypical white/asian person * A* ? like her tone?
Clothing Style/Colours: cute tastic rofl since she doesn't have a ton of "monster" features, she makes up for a lot of it with fashion. Something like this shirt, but without the rose pattern. Or perhaps a cardigan? Should have the scarf you see in the image to the left- a brown scarf with tassles and a bear pawprint on one of the ends. The boots in the image are also a must! Maybe some fish clips? Her shirt should have the number 12 on it, like a football jersey worn backwards, regardless of shirt design. She should also have a pleated skirt. Color scheme would be warm, coffee-like browns and hot pinks and light pinks. Feel free to add any sort of "bear" things, like fuzzy accents, fur collars, claws, etc! ExtrasxxxxxJust some extra things I wanted to add for people to know, little things, nothing big or character-changing <3 FOOD?: Kuma LOVES food. In fact, she has two fridges (one large, one small) in her cave dedicated JUST to food. Her favorite meals are bear-like things; fish, fruits and berries, honey and some meats. But overall, fish are her absolute favorite. Offer her a salmon and you'll be her new best friend. GRRRRAHHHHHH: Kuma is sort of rediculously strong for her runt size. It comes from her being a werebear. Don't misunderstand- she can't lift building and trees and such. Its more like she could crush a desk if she wanted to, and lifting up head-sized rocks is no problem for her. She tries not to abuse this too much, and only uses it if it's really necessary. It has nothing to do with her fear, and is more related to her natural monster ability. Family:Orso Oh: The older of her two siblings, he has curly hair and a short ponytail. He's the more ruthless of the two siblings, even if he is the more feminine looking one (he hates this, of course). His werebear form has curlier hair, and he has pontier eyes than his family members Elliot Oh: The younger of her two siblings, Elliot has frizzy, pointy hair, complimented by two long strands in the front. He also picks on Kuma a considerable amount, but he is more interested in mental warefare than physical attacks. He like messing with others, and is a bit of a sadist. His werebear form has pointier hair, and a bigger nose. He has wide eyes, like Kuma. Minipets:  Steak: Named after the food Kuma was eating at the time, Steak is a soft bunny who sits in a cage. She's very happy in the cage though, preferring her solitude to the crazy outside world. Steak is really just a simple rabbit who doesn't speak and enjoys her owner's food and pets. Kuma talks to Steak quite a bit, as if Steak could really talk. Her cage looks like this, but obviously bigger. Pip and Chip: Just two eyes that flutter around Kuma's cave. They haven't shown any sign of attaching to her, but then, they haven't left either. She leaves out food for them, and they occasionally fly down for pets from her. Sometimes they help with cleaning, too. Chompy: Kuma unsuspectingly received this "treasure" from Morrigan. When she first opened it, it tore open quite a few pillows and things in her room, before Kuma went werebear on it's a** and showed it who was boss. Now the mimic has grown quite attached to Kuma, and sits underneath her desk, lovingly chomping on things that Kuma feeds it from time to time. It acts as a sort of trashcan for her, but with more purring and cooing.
