One minute the feline was curled up on Beths pillow (Which she conveniently 'borrowed')... and the next she found herself spiraling down down...and down even more. Until, in traditional cat fashion, she landed on her paws. Thankfully the grass was dense enough to support her 6 lb weight... but if she was in human form, that would have hella hurt.
...Where was she again? Looking around the thin siamese blinked her bright blue eyes. No sound. Beautiful expanses of grassy fields... stars overhead. The scene of the crime.. the scene of the murders. Elysium. A second after this realization, the pressed her stomach tyo the ground firmly. It was too open...too quiet. Was their a negaverse agent somewhere? Were they all here, preparing to attack any senshi that was sent back? Its not like Chloe WANTED to return here so soon... the carnage she faced was enough to last a life time.
She had a feeling there would be much, much more.
They were losing already... one of the fields was taken. From right under their noses. She wished she was there to help, to defend. She felt sick to her stomach once she learned.
Lifting her head up, she peered over the grasses to look around. Was anyone there?

Again, as he slept, as his body recovered in the real world, his consciousness spiraled further and further into sleep.
Into Elysion.
Here, his wounds still existed, but the impact, the pain he felt, was somehow lessened. Or maybe it was the simple fact that he was Themis, and not Xavier. Each time he had come into the dream realm, he'd been his powered-up self.
Sometimes, he couldn't help but feel like a completely different person, and how much of this was true ?
What if we are not the good guys we think we are ?
They'd come back. They'd... He stared at the distance, the field that felt dark and twisted, and he shook his head.
They'd come, they'd fought... and the senshi had apparently lost.

"It feels horrible.. doesnt it?" The cat said approaching the familiar senshi, Chloe had felt his aura a slight ways off... and chose to approach. She only met him briefly in the battle, she was glad to see he was still alive. So much carnage...
"They really did take over a part from the looks of it." She said, settling next to Themis's shoe, curling her tail around her front paws. Really the height difference between the two was astounding...even if she was just a cat.
"...How are you doing? I went looking for you in the real world but i couldn't find you." he grinned to herself. "Sometimes i need a homing device on you all."

"I've been recovering... Slowly. I haven't patrolled lately." He admitted, looking down at the tiny siamese. She was really a tiny little thing, and for a moment he was tempted to just pick her up like he would have his own cat.
It did cross his mind that she might not like that, through.
"Im not too sure when that happened." He said, frowning. "All I know is that none of us were meant to be there... none of this might have happened if we hadn't come here." He sighed.
If only he had known... or would that have made no difference ?
"Thank you, by the way, I think... she would have gotten me if you hadn't come along. You seem to have scared her off for some reason... I didn't see her again after that."

"I think a lot of us said 'eff you world' and slept for a few days. it was...kinda quiet around the streets." She wasnt really hurt minus her tail being stepped on... so she was out poking around a lot. "I think the youma were lonely." CLEARLY a joke... right? Youma lonely? hah!
Her tail flicked a few times back and forth. She hated sometimes being this low to the ground... it caused her to feel like she was being looked down on. Even though technically she WAS just a cat so there was no helping that.
She was tempted to go human form, but chose not to... who knows what negas were around?
"Whats done is done.. we dont need to beat ourselves up for it, the negaverse i think did a good job of that enough. We now need to concentrate on getting them OUT of here... i know you can feel the darkness on the wind as well." She paused, blue eyes blinking up at him. "No problem, ive seen that negaverser before... she seemed to avoid me back then too. Might be something we need to look in to. Normally negaversers try to kill me when they see me too. The star on my forehead is really like a target sign sometimes..."

Themis stood right where he was for a moment more. They stood at the borderline, at the edge of the darkness-covered field, and he found himself unwilling to even cross it. Even where he stood, it almost felt like the darkness was trying to choke him, like heavy smoke.
Finally, he carefully sat down, cross-legged. He looked almost defenceless, but he wasn't. Not since he'd learned he didn't need to be standing to call onto his magic.
It seemed so silly, in retrospect.
"Well, the focus of the Negaverse must be Elysion for the time being." It made perfect sense that there would be less youma around.
"I bet it is..." Themis shook his head at the star comment. It wasn't like it was a normal marking to be found in a cat - not such a perfect shape, anyway. At least the senshi gave out no sign of being senshi until they used their pen. "Can they sense you ? I mean, I can kind of... feel when there's a youma or a negaverse agent near, they just... feel dark." And it seemed silly to think that they couldn't sense him right back.

She couldnt help herself, maybe it was her protective instincts... maybe it was her want to comfort. The small feline soon enough was leaning against the senshis side, blue eyes looking into a fixed point in the distance. "It seems like so. We cant let them take over, can you imagine if the engaverse could own dreams?"
"Then we literally WOULD be in a world of nightmares." Chloe did not even want to think about that.
Tail flickering now behind her it seemed to have a rhythm to it... almost like a tune was playing in the felines head. "When im in cat form... no. I am undetectable. Its why we normally stay in our feline forms."
"But..."
She leaned away from him for a brief moment...quickly followed by blinding light. It was a warm light, a similar light he would have felt when he was upgraded by her earlier. As soon as it was there it was gone, and was quickly followed by a asian girl. Chloe was wearing a asian style blue dress, long brown locks pooling on the ground behind her. She was short, clearly roughly 5 foot if at full height. And that was at her cat ear tip, yes she had cat ears and a tail... oh and was barefoot.
"But as you can probably feel now..." Chloe's voice remained the same in feline or human form. "When in this form, i am like a white target sign in a sea of black." her energy reading was strong...really strong. It was something that would have sent any negaverser in the area dashing for them. "They can feel any senshi, but as you grow in power... your signal grows stronger. And their keenness for honing in on the signal gets better."

Perhaps it was his own need for comfort, or just habit, since he did, in fact, own a cat - but once Chloe was leaning against him, a gloved hand rose to scratch at the back of her head idly, more subconsciously than anything else.
They couldn't, no... But it remained that if they had never came here, the negaverse might have never come. Or was it foolish to think they wouldn't use any mean they could possibly reach to gain adventage ?
Was it foolish to think that the senshi wouldn't do the same if given the opportunity ? Before, he had been content to think the world as black and white - but now, after that massive battle ?
He wasn't so sure anymore. And he didn't dare voice these thoughts to the small cat at his side.
He observed her shapeshifting with open curiosity and a bit of surprise - he'd certainly never seen a cat do that before. "Ah..." s**t, her aura was indeed massive.
He really hoped there wasn't any agent around, because he wasn't sure he could take them. No, actually, he was pretty sure he couldn't take them.
"Well, I figure it's better than the other way around." Themis answered. "If they were able to track a normal senshi with the same ease as they do an eternal..." Well, they probably wouldn't survive long.

Almost as if she too heard his own thoughts, the same light returned... and replaced the small feline once again. Breathing heavily she leaned forward on her paws. 'Sorry- sec. Takes quite a bit of power to change between." She normally only switched between forms when in a pinch... she pulled on stored energy then so the strain did not hit until much later. The power needed to switch was another reason why she chose to stay in feline form a lot. Once in the form... it was easy. But she did not feel like getting ambushed today, not when there was a injured senshi next to her and her own energy depleted.
"Ok.." She said breathing one last deep breath and sitting back on her haunches. " That depends too... sometimes a general will go around and pick off the weaker senshi. You saw the battle... they pick off the weak. Stops us from getting to their levels in power. Less evenly matched." Chloe had seen one too many senshi killed that day, it was too much to handle.
"If i could protect you all, trust me when i say i would. But with so many.. and so little guardian cats around, it is hard to split ourselves around the city." There were casualties... always casualities. "Best thing a senshi can do if confronted with a powerful opponent.. is to run." She hated saying that, but if it meant living another day... better to live than stain the floor red.

It was a relief when she changed back - and when nothing seemed to be coming in their direction, not even from the corrupted field ahead.
"That battle..." He sighed, shaking his head. It was a wonder he didn't get nightmares, really. Though he could swear he could hear the screams late at night... When he was trying to fall asleep. The battle repeated endlessly in his mind, with always the same outcome in his mind.
"They do..." Hypnos, and the green-haired general... But if the negaverse corrupted a child, would they do the exact same thing ?
He liked to think he wouldn't, that he didn't have it in him. But he also thought the same about killing another - and while he hadn't done it, nor there and then...
If he hadn't lost the blue-haired negaverse agent, he might have very well killed her.
He didn't like to think about it, so instead he latched onto Chloe's next statement like a lifeline.
"That's what we've been told... At least what I've been told. There's a small group trying to teach new senshi... I was lucky enough to meet them." He owed a great deal of his survival to Castor and Taranis. "Though im not sure if I could do the same. I just..." The words seemed to die in his throat, and he shook his head. "No, nothing."
