He is set with a sturdy frame that is accentuated by a very muscular physique. His body is free of wounds, implying that he has not taken a substantial hit in a very long time.※ ρєʀsoɴαʟɪтʏKōdo lives for combat and enjoys a good fight more than peace, preferring to fight only strong opponents, doing his best to level the playing field so that the fight might last longer. He believes that death in a fight is the most honorable death one can have and sees to it that anyone who joins his division feels the same way. Kōdo strongly believes in play over work, usually being the last to finish his fight as he will try to get as much enjoyment out of the fight beforehand. Despite showing signs of arrogance, such as telling people they can't cut him, he will bow to those who manage to defeat and hold them in high regard, be they friend or foe.
Preferring the hack and slash method over the think and jump method any day, Kōdo is usually the first one to rush into battle with little regards to his colleagues. Though he is terribly violent and bloodthirsty and his love for combat knows no bounds, he hardly one to be called malevolent or seen as a cold-blooded killer. Despite his Division being best known for it's combat prowess, they have a code of ethics that Kōdo also sticks to. Although he is brutal, he outright refuses to fight opponents that are too weak and will often discontinue a fight if his opponent becomes too injured to fight back, claiming that he is not interested in fighting "weaklings that can't continue to fight", nor does he have any interest in dealing the killing blow to opponents who are unable to fight any longer. He will, however, unhesitatingly kill those who refuse to end their fight. ※ вɪoɢʀαρʜʏKōdo was born into the Rukongai's lower district, specifically the 80th District of the Eastern Alley of the Rukongai. Like many others who grew up where he did, Kōdo resorted to stealing to get what he needed, mostly food as he developed hunger at an age as early as he appeared to be three. As time passed, he grew more ruthless, killing those who got in his way, and no longer just for food, but for sport- for the thrill of the kill. During this time, he participated in many of the lawless, underground fights that took place in the Rukongai, winning each of them and improving his skills along the way. By the time he appeared to be about fifteen years of age, his Zanpakutō materialized, and without the proper training or guidance, Kōdo was unable to stop his now massive Reiatsu from leaking out and killing his opponents before he could even do it with his own two hands. After remembering the tale of what lay beyond the walls of the Seireitei and what it could do for him, he set out with nothing but the clothes on his back and made his way to the Shōryūmon, defeated the guard in one fell blow, and waited patiently until a few captains came to pick him up after he had killed off the lower seats with his Reiatsu as well. He surrendered instantly, allowing himself to be brought before the Captain Commander at the time, Yuki, who had demanded to know what his reason for killing the guard was.
Kōdo told her that he needed the proper training to control his power, and went on to say that he must have a place in their military if he was able to defeat the guard in one blow. Agreeing with him, Yuki assigned him to the 11th Division immediately, granting him the freedom to move about the Seireitei as he wished and live like a Shinigami if he wished, but under the condition that he he wear a suppressor to contain the bulk of his Reiatsu. Agreeing to these terms, Kōdo took up position in the 11th Division where he continued to hone his skills and jumped at the opportunity to combat hollow. During his first few years in the 11th Division, he picked up Shikai and Bankai, or at least the idea of them. Kōdo soon learned that one of the 12th Division Captain's Zanpakutō was in constant release, a label that he quickly slapped onto his own Zanpakutō, one that he had not yet managed to speak with. Sometime after his admittance into the 11th Division under Asami Yamamoto, he began training for Bankai, desperately trying to get his spirit to speak to him. Despite having the necessary control for this power and spending the appropriate amount of time on it, Kōdo did not see a change in his power. Greatly confused by this, Kōdo spent another several years trying to unlock his power, when his spirit finally came to him while he was in the Human World, nearly at the brink of death because of a swarm of huge hollow had attacked the city he was looking after.
Museigen explained to him the fundamentals of his Zanpakutō and how it did not have either a Shikai or a Bankai, but it simply existed as a passive power in itself. With this in mind and with this new communication with his Zanpakutō, Kōdo was able to tap into it's abilities, and greatly improve himself over a few decades. Around a month before the siege on the Seireitei was to take place, Kōdo called Asami away from their hiding place in Austrailia, and in front of an audience comprised of over 200 of their Division members, he cut her down in battle in under three minutes. Shortly thereafter, he took her Haori and buried her corpse, but did not send news of the change in ranks to the rest of the Gotei 13. He currently wears Asami's old Haori, which is tattered along the edges and has faint traces of her blood from where he cut her.
Following the war to reclaim the Seireitei, Kōdo accidentally killed his Lieutenant during training. He was imprisoned for kicking his corpse in a river, and after serving his time he left to the Human World to tail Zenos on his trip to find Zea. Eventually he engaged Zenos and Sakuya in battle and was beaten down by Sakuya. Museigen's full potential was unlocked unconsciously and he got up only to quickly overpower both Zenos and Sakuya. After mortally wounding her, he was delivering the killing blow to Sakuya before Zenon — who had come back in time to prevent Sakuya's death — interfered. A fight between the two quickly unfolded, ultimately resulting in a fiery death for the captain.※ υsυαʟ cʟoтʜɪɴɢKōdo wears the typical Shihakushō of a Shinigami as well as Asami's old Haori, which is now tattered along the edges.※ αccєssoʀɪєsIn order to seal the bulk of his Reiatsu, Kōdo has a device embedded in his chest that was engineered by the 12th Division for the purpose of consuming his Reiryoku. However, because he has so much of it, this device does not noticeably hinder him in battle. He is capable of taking it out by forcefully pulling it out of his chest as it is not completely inside his body, and the pain associated with this act is ignored by him.

Ϻuseigen (無制限 - Limitless)Αρρeaʀaɴϲe▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂In its only state, Museigen takes the shape of a black-handled Nodachi with a forest green saya, measuring 40 1/4" from kojiri to kissaki. With consideration to its size and ease of drawing it, Kōdo keeps his blade mounted on his back where the hilt of the sword sticks out above his right shoulder and crosses his back diagonally. Museigen's saya is attached to his body with a braided black cord that crosses over his back and chest in the same direction the Nodachi points.Sρɪʀɪт▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂Lacking a nickname because its owner refuses to refer to it with one, Museigen is always refered to by its full name. Museigen's namesake stems not only from the limitless potential of its Gōseikai, but also to the fact that the spirit does not have a corporeal form, and instead appears as a featureless, shapeless mass of smoke that changes color whenever it feels like it. The mass of smoke can be formed into a vaguely human-shaped figure in order to train Kōdo, and though it speaks with a low male's voice, it has referred to itself as genderless and ageless as well. It can be assumed that both of these features tie in with its namesake. Due to Museigen's preference to physically materialize itself in order to train its master, Kōdo is unaware of his own inner world's appearance.Gōseɪκaɪ (合成解 - Composite Release)▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂A rather unique Zanpakutō by all accounts, Museigen does not actually have a Shikai or a Bankai, but instead possess a single release that is composed of both of them and appropriately named "Gōseikai." This release state combines the augmentation capacity of what would have been his Shikai and his Bankai, a fact that makes up for the lack of elemental affinity or the addition of new techniques and weapons. Furthermore, Museigen is in a state of constant release wherein it does not change form- and is assumed to not have a sealed state- and does not have a release command, despite Kōdo's continuous interaction with Museigen's spirit. There are still many mysteries surrounding his Zanpakutō, namely if Museigen is the source of several aspects of his being, such as his monstrous Reiatsu and blood-thirsty personality. These, however, are not things that Kōdo actively pursues the answers to as he views it as "information I do not require to fight." Why Kōdo alone possesses this capability is unclear, and it is unknown at this time whether this is achievable by other Shinigami, or if he is simply an anomaly. Museigen has no named techniques of it's own and instead focuses it's energy on immensely augmenting Kōdo's body for combat, turning him into nothing short of a living weapon. Museigen does not have an elemental affinity, and is instead considered to be a pure melee-type Zanpakutō with an augmentation use. Damage Resistance
Kōdo unconsciously wraps his Reiryoku around his entire body, allowing it to act as a sort of armor, making it impossible for anyone but the most powerful of individuals to harm him. Anything else will either be halted completely, or will slide off of his skin.
Immense Durability
His physical strength is matched by his durability, Kōdo has been shown to easily ignore most of the injuries he's sustained in battle (much like a berserker), not suffering any debilitation despite having multiple slash wounds on his body. During his numerous no-holds-barred fights with others, he has on many occasions suffered numerous slash wounds and was even impaled with no visual impairment of his fighting abilities despite them noting that most people would have already been dead at that point.
Immense Speed
Thanks to his tremendous raw power, Kōdo's leg strength allows him to more than make up for his lack of Shunpo, allowing him to move fast enough to instantly close a huge gap of space between him and the opponent and even seemingly disappear from sight. In battle he is able to strike with incredible speed in rapid succession, making it highly difficult for his opponents to find an opening and counterattack.
Immense Strength
Perhaps due to years of combat experience and time on the battlefield, Kōdo has a very large degree of physical strength, most commonly displayed by his ability to fight back his opponent's attacks with a single arm. He is more than capable of acts such as kicking other captains through buildings, throwing larger opponents over his shoulder and onto the ground with one hand, and catching a large weapons bare-handed and then tossing the weapon and it's owner a great distance in a form of attack. Furthermore, Kōdo is more than capable of slicing through even the densest of Hierro, seemingly without much effort.
Phantom Pain
By using his vast Reiatsu, Kōdo is able to inflict fear into the opponent up to the point that he is able to make an opponent feel as though they are being attacked though nothing is physically happening to them. Even before reaching his opponent, he will use this ability to make them think he has his sword to their neck, despite not even being close enough to perform such a feat. This fear is enough to hinder the opponent in battle as well as make even captains and Sephira break out into a cold sweat.
Vast Spiritual Power
Even by captain-level standards, Kōdo has shown to have tremendous spiritual energy; it is absolutely monstrous. In fact, it is so great that Kōdo can fight on par with two other captain-level opponents without using his full power, even when he is wearing his suppressor and his opponents release their Zanpakutō's Bankai. His spiritual energy has been shown to be powerful enough to affect entire areas to the point of disrupting energy attacks from enemies, and cause others from seemingly miles away to enter a state of paralysis and confusion.
100% State
A finalized "state" of being, the true form of his Goseikai itself, this ability was unconsciously unlocked during Koudo's fight with Sakuya. The state transforms all of Kōdo's Reiryoku into pure, raw power, increasing his stats to match. His muscles increase to near-ridiculous proportions, yet his speed does not suffer and instead increases as well alongside his durability, resistance to damage, strength, and his overall Zanpakutō power.

His cutting strength is so immense that he can slice through steel in a single swing of his sword, and level a building with a simple flick of his wrist while he is at full power. Though he prefers swing his sword with one hand, he can switch to both hands, which greatly augments his cutting strength.※ Highly Perceptive CombatantDespite his seeming lack of any type of strategy added onto his self-admitted aversion to thinking during a fight, Kōdo is actually quite a perceptive man. He is able to quickly grasp an understanding of things that he has had no prior experience with, take the mannerisms of others and deduce things about them that others might not see, intuitively sense danger and determine how to get out of that situation, and quickly adjust to the attack patterns of others to counter them better. He is by no means a genius, but he is quite perceptive of many things, and shows more understanding than one would expect.※ Debilitating CQC OffenseThough he prefers fighting with his sword, Kōdo's use of Hakuda makes him a dangerous fighter while unarmed.
