Prajna & Namini, and Luka & Jezabroux

Where: Durem zoo
When: today! the Saturday prior to Valentine's day
Weather: clear skies, sunny!
Status: complete
PostPosted: Sat Feb 12, 2011 2:38 pm

After paying for their tickets and making sure they had all they needed for the day, the Naos entered the main entrance of the zoo, their hearts fluttering though with different kinds of excitement. Namini's cheeks were already kissed with a sweet pinkness that seemed appropriate for the occasion. Seriously? The young brunette could barely remember the last time she ever went on a date, especially with David's knowledge. Namini readjusted the red ribbon at the end of her braid once, twice, nervously before checking up on her charge who seemed about as distracted as one would imagine a toddler being during their first time to the zoo, a zoo as large as the Durem one no less, "You okay Praj? Want to get some juice or something before Josh and Lulu comes?"

Prajna shook its head and effortlessly evaded a running child as its gaze flickered from the vivid greenery to the bright colors of the food and merchandise stands to...what had to be the world's largest map. Prajna wanted to bolt for it and decipher its symbol-like language but Namini had pulled it out of the way.

"Let's not stand right in front of the incoming people, Prajna," Namini chirped as she extended a gloved hand to her Frei, gently but firmly guiding out of the oncoming crowd's way. Together, they looked like an odd but matching set of dolls. Namini had on a sleeveless dress that matched the bow finishing her braid, hemmed in frills, over top a very pale pink turtleneck, one similar to the shade of rose you see only in seashells. A typical Valentine's day outfit. Prajna, on the other hand, dressed in darker hues. It had switched out its casual, checkered vest for a satiny-white one, a small red cloth bursting through a small pocket on its chest. Its button down was also transformed from its crimson shade to one of a matching immaculate white. The Star had managed to keep its black-star ribbon and some star cuff links but those were the only signs that this was even the same Frei as before. Prajna's hair too had even taken on a new appearance. Despite the Frei's outfit's overtone of masculinity, for some reason, Prajna had decided to let its hair down, the wild strands kissing its cheeks here and there.

As the Nao double took shelter on a nearby bench, Prajna fiddled with the rim of its little black tophat and asked Namini for the time.

"We're a little early. We've got about 10 more minutes," she replied a little too cheerfully, making the Star cringe. Well..she was in for a surprise. Prajna kept its eyes on the new strangers coming through the main entrance. It couldn't wait to see her face when she saw it all piece together...Whether or not the Star got scolded, today was going to be fun.

Like every other building and establishment in Bart, the Barton Zoo was decked out in ribbons of varying shakes of red, pink, and white to match the Valentines fever. Even the windows of the ticket booths were covered in heart decals. Picking up their tickets from the kiosk, Jezabroux and Luka passed through the gates with relative ease despite the number of people crowded around. Leading his charge to a less crowded area beside the large map, Jezabroux look down at the Satyr. "So we're waiting for Ekundayo and Mr. Lekabel?" He waited for a response from Luka but stopped expecting one when he realized his charge was scanning the crowd, no doubt for Ekundayo.

Pushing his sunglasses higher up the ridge of his nose, Elai scanned the crowds as well for the double-collared eagle and her red head guardian. The man was dressed in grey pinstriped slacks, white button up dress shirt and a black v-neck cardigan, spiced up with a white ceramic watch. His long hair was tied up neatly in a pony tail. His overall appearance was casual yet still classy, but no where near what one might wear on a Valentines date. Not that this zoo trip was a date, or at least not for him. Maybe for Luka, but not him. Bicolored eyes fell to his charge who had also taken pains in looking nice. Admittedly, shopping for someone with half a torso was a bit of a challenge but in the end, the two had managed to coordinate an outfit that had approved to both their tastes. Forgoing his usual attire, Luka was dressed in a clean black button up shirt with silver buttons. The sleeves rolled up just below his elbows. Though his first inclination had been to dress in something lighter, after seeing Elai go to work in blacks, greys, and whites, it only seemed to right to pick something nice looking. Nice being whatever seemed to fit Elai's tastes. Luka was not deaf to the compliments his guardian seemed to catch from women whenever he walked into a room. On his left wrist he had two leather bracelets, something he had yet to take off since putting them on for the first time on Christmas.

Honey colored orbs scanned the crowd looking for that all too passionate red hair particular to Prajna. It took a good few minutes but he finally found the face he was looking for. Prajna had its hair down, no wonder Luka had overlooked him several times. He recognized the figure beside the Star to be Namini, who was also dressed nicely as Prajna had promised on the phone. Grabbing Jezabroux's wrist, he practically dragged his guardian to the two sitting on a bench. "Prajna." Luka said with a smile. "Hello Prajna, and Namini."

Jezabroux stared at Namini for a second before giving the young lady a slight bow. "A pleasure to see you on this fine day Miss Namini, and Prajna." He said as his eyes flickered to the star. "I take it you're waiting for someone? A surprise that we should be meeting each other again. I take it you have a date?" He asked, motioning to her baby pink apparel. "Luka is waiting for someone as well." He said with a smile as he placed a hand on Luka's head. The acupuncturist was wearing the kind of smile a father would have at driving his son to a first date.

"No, I am not." Came the quick response.

Namini felt all the blood rush to her cheeks when she heard the man's kind greeting. For a second, though their voices were completely different, the young brunette had imagined she was hearing Josh calling her name. For a second, Namini could do nothing but stare at the man with two toned hair and his unusually dressed Frei. Who was this? Oh. The man from the winter break. But...wait...

"No, I am not," Luka stated flatly, quickly after the man's explanation of presence.

What? Namini tried to smile but one could tell the young girl was struggling as the corners of her mouth twitched and shivered with struggle. "Wh..what?" came her small inquisition, her eyes flickering over to her immaculately dressed Star. Prajna's androgynous features seemed to have twisted into an expression of dangerous amusement. The older Nao turned her cerulean eyes back to Luka, who, in his own way, seemed to mirror Prajna's smug expression. It all came together. Her rosy cheeks now more ablaze than ever, Namini grabbed Prajna by its fragile shoulders and looked it straight in the eyes, her brows knitting together with utter disbelief, "Prajna. Did you --"

Immediately, the Star cut her off and effortlessly shrugged her hands off of its half-being, "Prajna never say date with Lulu. Just say "Lu." Why think come here to meet ugly girl thing?" Namini let out a heavy sigh as she stood up and tried to maintain her composure in front of their acquaintances. Prajna watched her, thoroughly entertained, before following suit and "standing up" itself. The redhead, its features feminine and soft today thanks to the way its fiery locks framed its genderless features, turned to Luka and widened its smirk, continuing the conversation with him as if Namini was perfectly at ease, "Luka look good today, yes, very much so. So does his man."

Prajna tossed its glance, if only for a second, in Jezabroux's direction. Namini had followed the momentary shift in attention and then turned to the older gentleman, and bowed humbly.

"I apologize for the inconvenience. I didn't know Prajna had tricked you or Luka into coming out here for its own amusement. I'm so sorry, Mr. Jezabroux," Namini murmured, her face red with a mixture of embarrassment and heartbreak. As she bowed, she looked down at her clothes and felt sick with herself. Here she was, dressed like a doll, in pinks and reds and frills and make up, only to present herself to a man who she imagined to be laughing silently at her overly romantic heart. Namini squeezed her eyes shut, trying to hold back tears, thinking of how unnecessary and childlike it would be to cry in public, but a single teardrop was already rolling down her cheek.

Prajna had taken notice of the girl's sorrow but ignored it. What was so great about Lulu and her guardian? Nothing, he was stupid and so was she. Namini needed to just enjoy the day and come to learn that you didn't need people like that to have a great day. Seriously!, the Star thought, What could be a better way to spend the day than with Prajna? Everyone wanted to be in its company! And, at this thought, without thinking about it, Prajna fluffed its dark wings a little bit, stretching them out and allowing them to visually clash with the white of its clothing. The Star lifted its gaze and met Luka's golden eyes...a small spicy sensation pulsating through its throat. So this was what it must have felt like... The lust for Luka's essence was still there, Prajna could not ignore that, but since it had already eaten for the morning, all that was left was this slight yearning ...How interesting.

Jezabroux couldn't help but feel a bit sympathetic towards the girl. No doubt she had come here in mind with hopes of a great date with whomever, only to find herself being suckered into this. Well, technically he'd been suckered into it as well but it wasn't like he was expecting anything romantic from being here. He'd been suckered into thinking it was a date between Luka and Ekundayo. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a handkerchief and held it out for Namini. "Miss Namini, please stop crying." He coaxed. "It's a too much of a wonderful day today to be crying. I may not be Lulu, but I believe perhaps we can still have fun today. That is, if you don't mind spending your day with an old man like me. Not to mention, I believe the only ones tricked here were the two of us." He said with a slight chuckled. From the way Luka was interacting with Prajna, there was no way the Stayr was upset with the whole situation. If anything, he seemed to be enjoying this.

Luka beamed at Prajna's compliment, the white downy feathers on his wings rufflinging up against his back. "Thank you Prajna. White is nice on Prajna, stand out against your wings." He said as he reached out to tentatively touch the coal colored feathers. They were cool to the touch, making him think of the black marble countertop in the kitchen. His eyes flickered up to lock with Prajna's for a few seconds before they flickered to Namini's crying figure, and a small frown formed on the Satyr's lips. "… Lets go see things Prajna, leave the two here." Taking the androgynous Frei's hand, Luka led it away from their guardians and towards the group of people moving towards the lion exhibit.

Crying people always made the Frei edgy, it meant something was wrong, that they were in pain or something of the like. He had seen Jezabroux distressed once and it had brought a disturbing feeling in the Frei. The knowledge that Elai, a person who seemed to know everything could be distraught like that. "What does Prajna want to see?" He asked as he unfolded the zoo map in his hand, enjoying the light breeze that swayed his long locks.

Jezabroux place a hand on Namini's back in a comforting manner. "Besides Miss Namini, I believe Prajna's original intention wasn't to just trick you but rather for you to have a fun time as well. Right Prajna?" The sudden lack of response after all of its early snappy comments was unnerving. Looking up, Jezabroux stared slack jaw at the backs of the two Raevans that were blending into the crowd of people. "… Miss Namini, we have a situation on our hands."
PostPosted: Sat Feb 19, 2011 5:35 pm

Namini took Jezabroux's handkerchief graciously and dabbed gently at the one or two escaping teardrops, before standing up and straightening out her skirt in nervousness. "It is a really pretty day. I'm sorry, Mr. Jezabroux, I ...I didn't mean to cry. I was just..surprised," she murmured, before staring at the handkerchief. It wasn't too wet, nothing close to damaged or ruined, but the brunette couldn't stop staring at it. As Jezabroux turned his attention away for a moment, enjoying either the warm embrace of sunlight or staring at something in the distance, Namini took the moment to slip the man's handkerchief into the small white purse on her shoulder. It would seem wrong to just try and hand the cloth back after she had used it to wipe her face. She would deliver it back to him once she had a chance to take it home and wash it carefully and properly. As she brushed a few wild, chocolate strands away from her face, tucking them girlishly behind her ear, Namini hoped Jezabroux wouldn't notice her clumsy thievery.

"...Miss Namini," "Hm?" she interrupted. "We [have?] a situation on our hands." the man finished a bit nervously. Namini glanced over her shoulder and stared into the growing sea of unfamiliar people and blend of Valentine hues. Immediately, the girl went back to apologizing, "I'm so sorry! They probably wouldn't have gotten far! I'm so sorry. Prajna does this kind of thing all the time. I can't teach it how to behave..."

Namini took a step into the crowd only to be bumped back into place by a rude couple walking by. The other girl immediately shot the younger girl a nasty glance before snuggling closer to her indifferent beau, making Namini blush on cue. ...To witness such a sudden display of disdain and then romance was bewildering to the girl. Namini returned to Jezabroux's side, suddenly very embarrassed. She came here on a date...and that idea refused to leave her mind. Jezabroux was clearly much older than the girl, but he was so kind, from the little she had seen of him. An image of Namini and Jezabroux being very intimate and lovey-dovey flashed through the brunette's mind and the girl almost slapped herself awake. Her cheeks were burning! She couldn't look him in the eye! This..This is not what she was expecting!!! Where was Josh when a girl needed him most?!! OR DAVID?! Namini didn't know how to act.

Prajna, too, was suddenly very surprised. Luka had extended a careful hand and brushed a few fingers against the Flame's blackened wings, kind of in admiration, and though Prajna did not mind the reaction, it was impressed to see the Satyr behaving so differently from before. Impressed but still somewhat surprised. Maybe Prajna was going to get played? No. No. It was Prajna for Christ's sake! The redhead, unconscious of Luka's lead, abruptly stopped and roughly removed its hand from Luka's grasp and pouted. It was not going to be led about like a child!

The crimson haired Frei reached for the map and pressed it against the paler Frei's chest. Its clear blue eyes seemed full of pure determination.

"Forget papers. Luka follows Prajna now," the Star snapped, then grabbing Luka's hand and leading them off into a random direction. This was Prajna! It did not need a map. Psh, Prajna was awesome! Weaving in and out of the intimate couples and rowdy children, Prajna pulled Luka towards the right of a small fork when suddenly the Star stopped, tightening its grip on Luka. The Inverted Flame stared curiously at something that laid out in a small bush in front of them.

"What...is that?" Prajna mewed, pointing with its free hand at a...toucan. A toucan who squawked at the Frei's acknowledgement.

Trying to spot the two Raevans, the handkerchief completely slipped his mind. And even then, something such as a handkerchief was of such little significance that he'd breeze over it's loss.

"Please calm yourself Miss Namini." He said soothly. "I am aware that this isn't all Prajna's fault, it looked as if Luka was leading Prajna away. So, I should be the one apologizing for Luka's behavior." Not one to miss the interaction between Namini and the passing couple, a flicker of irritation shot through his covered eyes, and he placed a hand on her shoulder. "Quite rude wasn't she? Are you alright Miss Namini?" He asked. The girl's cheeks were flushed but he took it as a sign of her annoyance with the rude couple. Looking at Namini, he realized she was exactly the kind of sibling he had wanted as a younger child. It was unfortunate he'd been passed that crazy and impulsive ball of energy of a younger brother instead of a demure and cute little sister he could baby. "Lets go find the two trouble makers now." He said with a smile as he led Namini, the crowd naturally moving to form a path for the large man and his date.

Looking clear over the multitude of heads, his bicolored eyes scanned the masses for a black top hat and snowy white hair. It took a few seconds but he finally spotted the two Freis just 15 or so feet ahead of them. Suddenly, the crowd surged as they neared the fork and he lost sight of the two. "Do you see them?" He asked, his eyes scanning the crowd once more.

Luka looked down at the crumpled map against his chest and couldn't help but feel a tad bit annoyed. Nevertheless, he folded it up neatly and pocketed it, letting Prajna lead him on. Had he been feeling for it, he might have challenged Prajna into leading the two. But, for now, the day was to nice for starting conflict over such a niggling matter. Not to mention, Luka had not forgotten about Prajna's damned blue flames. That was not an experience he wanted to repeat. Soaking up the strong beams of sunlight, the Satyr was positively glowing as the two Freis turned right and came to a stop in front of the toucan enclosure. The Forsaken Light's eyes widened at the colorful bird that popped out of the bush squawking at them from behind the large bird cage. "Have never seen before." He said softly in wonderment as he moved towards the sign in front of the exhibit.

The bird was colorful and so strange looking, nothing like the fat, dull things that flew around in Durem Park. Pidgeons or something as Elai had called them. Looking down at the sign, he smiled as he recognized the little symbols engraved in the copper plate. So, what Elai was teaching him had some use. "Bird. T-O-U-C-A-N." He spelled out for Prajna. "To-u-can." He said as he strang together the letters into words he knew. Looking up from the sign, his attention to turned to a large scarlet bird across from them on the other side of the path. "Prajna, look there!" He said as he pointed to the red-and-green macaw sitting on a zoo worker's arm. "Color of bird is almost like Prajna's hair." He said with a smile as he moved away from the toucan to the curiously dressed human holding the bird.

"I'm quite alright," Namini slurred into a barely audible whisper. Then Jezabroux placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder and the girl lost her voice. This was too much for someone like her. Perhaps the air was drugged with some kind of Valentine's drug, but Namini found herself burning alive. Had it been this warm this morning? No, the air still had a nice little chill to it, enough to keep one awake and feeling lively on a jog or something. The curly haired teen wondered why she was acting so weird, but made sure not to say anything odd in the other's presence. Namini just found herself following Jezabroux without any question towards his naturally authoritative presence, but then...they came to a fork in the path.

"Do you see them?" he asked her simply, but Namini felt like the older man had just asked her something as difficult as "Where do you see yourself in 10 years?" or "Why are you so boring?" Namini tightened her frail grip on her purse strap and looked around, her mind way too distracted for Prajna's game of hide-and-seek. Sapphire eyes darted about. Red hair? No, a small child with a large hat. Oh? Black wings? A nearby toucan squawking in its cage. Namini pouted, her usual maternal composure returning. Where could Prajna and Luka be?

"I don't want to split up...Perhaps. Would you like to try the left? Or, maybe we should look for a map or something? I'm sorry, Mr. Jezabroux, I've never been here before..ah..." Namini paused and thought of something that, perhaps, would calm her nerves. The blush spread to her ears. "Um..Sir, can I ask you something? ...Is it all right if we drop the honorifics? I feel...very childish calling you "Mr. Jezabroux." I mean, I want to show you the utmost respect but..Please forgive me, but I ..find it really difficult to speak with you. I must be really silly in your eyes.." Namini's gaze lowered as she kicked at the ground a bit, embarrassed by her confession.

Prajna was just about to try and hide its awe at Luka's ability to read, when suddenly the toucan let out another surprised squawk and spread out its dark wings. The darker bird's outcry was echoed by the other canaries and exotic cranes perching in nearby cages, scaring Prajna half to death. Instinctively, Prajna reached its hands out and grabbed Luka like a shield, blocking its face from the awkward creatures. Even though both the Star and these foreigners had wings and were decorated with vibrant colors...the Star felt oddly detached from them. They were so...WEIRD. Definitely not as cute as the star kittens or puppies running around Gaia. Nothing Prajna had ever met before made such an awful sound. After burrowing its face into Luka's chest, Prajna realized how nice the other Frei smelled... the scent causing the redhead's eyelids to flutter back open out of reassurance. That's when it saw it.

"It's Luka-bird," Prajna murmured into the other's neck, totally oblivious to what many would consider an invasion of personal space. Prajna turned Luka around and pointed to a rare colored peacock in a glass field behind them. The peacock was majestic and exotically white, its tail decorating the vibrant green grass like fresh snowflakes. It was like a vision of winter meeting spring. Prajna didn't notice as it exhaled quietly, "It's very pretty..." Its icy blues twinkling like stars at the sight.

"Of course Miss Namini. Please, call me Jezabroux or Elai if that is more comfortable for you. I grew up using formalities, so it's a habit of mine." He gave her a sheepish look at his usage of a title for her name. "It might take a while before I get it right." Looking up at the sign in front of them, he clicked his tongue as he read the different enclosure names. Birds, reptiles and the otters were to the right while mammals and the safari enclosure were to the left.

"Honestly, I'm not sure which direction to head in either Mi- Namini." He corrected himself. "I've been here several times in the past, but it seems as if the zoo has undergone some major renovations. The aviary was to the left you see." He explained. "I suppose we can't go wrong in taking the left path; if my memory serves me correctly, they eventually lead to the Junction Plaza with all the concession stands."

Unlike Prajna, Luka was not surprised by the cacophony of birds calls. So when the Inverted Flame buried its face in his chest, the Satyr was at a momentary loss for what to do. He floated there awkwardly before patting Prajna's back with a hand. "Nothing to fear Prajna… just birds. Cannot harm Prajna through metal cage." The Satyr coaxed, trying to get the Star off him. It wasn't that he didn't like Prajna being so close to him, Luka was just wary of what could happen next. Luka was not stupid. A day of play with the Star in the bakery had taught the Forsaken Light that Prajna was a very fickle person. One moment the androgynous Frei might smile and the next make threatening faces at him. Honey orbs looked down at the head of flaming hair before flickering back to the toucans. How curious, they reminded him of Prajna with their dark wings and brilliant reds.

When the Star mentioned a Luka-bird, the Satyr tilted his head in confusion. "Luka am not bird." He said with a mild snort. When Prajna turned him around to see the albino peacock, he let out a small ohhhh upon realizing what the Star meant. "Yes, bird is white like Luka. Having no colors, no reds, blacks, or yellows particular like to Prajna." Moving away from Prajna and closer to the glass enclosure, Luka pressed a pale hand against the glass. It was very pretty. It made him remember the morning he had woken up to see the world covered in white, with snow.

Slowly taking his eyes off the peacock, Luka's eyes flashed as they caught sight of an all to familiar head of black and white easily floating above the rest of the crowd. "Prajna, Elai is nearing." He warned as he moved to hide his body behind a group of Japanese tourists who were talking amidst themselves while pointing at the Frei.

Namini's worries seemed to greatly reduce themselves at the man's attempt at informality. He was very charismatic in a mature way and Namini liked having Jezabroux around. It was kind of having like a second brother, one more open to his feelings and thoughts... "Thank you," the Chinese teenager purred, taking a few steps towards the left. "If it all leads to the same place, we'll catch up to them eventually so let's go. We should enjoy this beautiful day right, Jezabroux?"

In any other case, Namini would have reached for her companion's hand and led them off towards the array of exotic creatures with something similar to a 7 year old's enthusiasm. But, the second this thought floated through her mind, Namini made sure to play with the edges of her skirt to avoid any idiocy on her part.

Prajna floated to Luka's side as it tapped the glass lightly, hoping to attract the colorless bird's attention, "Can it not fly? Sits on the land and walks, like humans." Prajna tapped the glass harder, annoyed that the peacock was doing nothing more than just strutting about mindlessly. That's when Luka urged them onward, "Prajna, Elai is nearing."

"Hm?" Prajna watched with great curiosity as Luka dove into a bunch of people who looked a lot like Namini, just with David's black hair. Some squealed in excitement, making the Star cringe. What was Luka doing? That's when the redhead turned and saw Namini just a few yards away, making that embarrassed face of hers as she tried to smile in Jezabroux's direction. Dumb girl. Prajna followed Luka's lead and tried to move out of the main crowd, hissing at the other Frei "Luka, go go! Don't stay here. Lead us to the next place, before fun is over now."

Jezabroux nodded. "Of course Namini, that was the original intent was it not?" He asked with a smile. It was to see that the teenage girl's mood was finally starting to lighten. Placing a hand on her shoulder, he led her down the left pathway only as they passed a small concession stand decked in Valentines decor. "Would you like something to drink? They even have ice cream if you want something sweet." Seeing all these ice cream flavors listed on the board made him realize just how perfect it was for ice cream or something equally refreshing. Perhaps before the day was over, he'd even get Luka to try some.

Luka chuckled at Prajna's reaction. Nevertheless, the Satyr Frei floated away from the Japanese crowd of tourists and further down the path. The walkway was shaded by large towering trees giving it a scenic feel. Not to mention, the soft breeze was doing nothing to detract from the nice atmosphere pervading the area. Creamy locks flowing out behind under the wind's gentle caresses, Luka skillfully navigated through the mass of couples until he came to another display.

Fingers curling around the chain link fence separating him from the enclosure, helios eyes stared intensely at the large four-legged animals ambling along the savannah themed area. They reminded him of Elai's cat, Winston, except these were much larger and hairier. Or, at least some of them were very hairy with an unruly copper and coffee mass of fur wrapping around their neck. "Prajna, what is that?" He asked, pointing at the lions while beckoning for the star to join him.

"Has Prajna ever seen that? What is name of giant hair cat?"

Namini's eyes widened like a deer in headlights as the older man placed a tender hand on her shoulder. Did he not know how hard it was to keep the romantic influences out of her mind?! Namini gave a quiet nod as she followed Jezabroux towards the concession stand decked out in paper hearts and a few flowers. She looked up a bit timidly, but the second her eyes caught sight of the "ice cream" list, her childish enthusiasm returned, "Do you like sweets Mist--um, Jezabroux? I've had this flavor -she pointed to the chocolate strawberries flavoring on the board- before at another place and it was good. Like, it had pieces of fudge chocolate and pieces of strawberries in this rich strawberry ice cream. If you got it with a chocolate drizzle to, it was like...to diiiee for!" She giggled, looking back at the board inquisitively. What should she get?

Prajna followed the cream haired Satyr into the next animal arena, impressed by the sudden shade looming over it. The sun had seemed a little too bright today and Prajna was enjoying the slight drop in temperature. But then..it heard it.

"Has Prajna ever seen that? What is name of giant hair cat?"

The Star bolted to the edge of the exhibit, eyes narrowed and its fingers almost tearing apart the fence. And then, suddenly, it let out a loud, growl-type of noise, one that sounded like a mix of a roar and a choke. The lions in the exhibit turned their attention towards the redhead who was now laughing and gesturing for Luka to join it, " Prajna watch this ALL the time on tv. These are lions. There is lots of them but only ones with the fat ugly thing on necks go GRAWRLLL! The ones with no hair things just play and keel horses."

The Star nodded with pride as it recalled the lionesses taking down some of the speedy gazelles and wildebeest.

"I am not to particular to sweets unless they are pastries." He said with a light smile. "Though, I can be biased towards coffee flavored ice cream." Shaded eyes scanning the list of flavors, a slight smile formed as he read one called summer breeze and nostalgia welled up inside the acupuncturist. In his mind's eye he could picture a pale blue ice cream with it's unique salty and sweet fruity flavor. The longer he thought about it, the better he could taste the raspberries and blueberries in his "I think… I will have the summer breeze. Have you made a decision yet Namini?" He asked, looking down at the teenager. "If not, take your time."

Luka jerked and stared at Prajna in mild confusion and irritation as the Star let out a hideous noise. "What is Prajna doing? He demanded, already feeling the gazes of countless pairs of eyes burning holds into his back. It was not a pleasant sensation. He knew that because of his unique appearance he naturally caught the attention of others, thus he usually did everything in his power to come off as low key as possible. Prajna's outburst was not appreciated.

When he heard the other's response, Luka looked back at the giant cats lying around in the golden grass and gave the star an unconvinced looked. "And what horses do lions kill? No horse thing Prajna speaks of here."

Wings stretching out behind his back, the pure downy feathers ruffled in mild irritation. "Lets see more Prajna. People stare at us. Do not like." He said testily, turning his head back to look over his shoulders and cast the passing crowd a quick glance. Turning to look back at Prajna, Luka's eyes slitted as he felt something or someone touching the soft feathers at the base of his wings. Whipping around, he flared out his wings in a threatening manner at the teenage girl who had just touched him.

"Why does strange person touch Luka? Luka does not touch any person on street." He said angrily, moving back from the redheaded girl.

The teen flushed, stammering at the half being's comment. "I'm sorry! I-I was just looking at how soft they looked and I guess... I didn't mean to touch you!" Stepping away from Luka, she flashed a look of wonder at Luka's companion.

Namini watched as a small smile lighted up Jezabroux's enough face. He looked so peaceful. The teen suddenly wondered what she looked like smiling. Happy, obviously, but she wondered if other people saw something else...She snapped back to attention and turned back to the board...what should she get.. "I think..I'll get what you're getting Jezabroux-sir ... I mean! Jezabroux! It sounds refreshing and new..I wouldn't mind trying anything new," Namini stuttered, embarrassed again.

Prajna disliked the way Luka was suddenly talking to it. Luka was acting as if Prajna had done something wrong. Pfft. Prajna was never wrong, though, it did notice that what Luka said was true: there were no striped horses anywhere to be seen within the exhibit. Maybe the lions had already eaten them all. Yes, that was it. As the Star was about to explain this theory to the Satyr, Luka had already begun to urge it on to the next exhibit, "Let's see more Prajna. People stare at us. Do not like."

That's when Prajna watched, its eyes wide for a moment, as a dumb...dumb girl extended a hand while Luka looked away and ran her fingers through the feathers on the Satyr's back. The redhead didn't need to hear Luka's following words of rage and surprise as it reached its own hand out and grabbed the girl by her wrist, its bright blues like icicles pricking delicately into the girl's very soul. The Flame was beyond pissed. It knew what it was like to have idiots mess with its wings, its hair, IT. Luka didn't deserve that! None of Prajna's things were allowed to be touched by others' filthy paws.

"Why did you do that? Luka isn't yours is he, dumb girl," Prajna hissed, tightening its grip for a second on the stranger's wrist. It hated dealing with people like this. That's when the Star noticed the growing crowd around them and the girl's panic stricken face. Namini would kill the redhead if she ever found out... Prajna released the girl and turned to Luka, grabbing HIS hand and then leading him to the next exhibit, " Come. Lions will do nothing more than sleeps and there is nothing more than stupid people here now."

The blackened wings on the Frei's back shuttered violently with the last pulse of its anger.

Jezabroux nodded. "Namini, if you find Jezabroux is still too stiff, you could call me Elai." Giving Namini a gentle smile, he moved towards the employee behind the concession stand and returned holding two cups laden with a pastel blue colored ice cream. "Your summer breeze," He said as he passed one of the containers to the teenager. "It's strange. I remember sitting here eating the same ice cream with my mother. It feels nice standing here sharing it with someone else."

Luka watched as Prajna quickly grabbed her wrist in a fierce grip, cerulean ice piercing into the girl's own. Pale arms crossing across his chest, bright eyes flashed at Prajna and back to the girl. "Elai says bad things will happen to those that touch what is not theirs." Looking up at the crowd gathering, Luka flapped his wings in an agitated manner. Yet before the Satyr could do anything, he found himself being led away by the star.

"Thank you, Prajna." Luka said as they reached the next exhibit. Honeyed orbs glanced at the animals walking around in the enclosure and he turned back to the fallen star. He wasn't blind to Prajna's quivering wings. "Calm self Prajna. Touching stranger is gone." He said as the gave the other a boyish smile. He wasn't really one to let such things dwell on him, and he didn't want Prajna to dwell on it either. Doing so would only ruin their moods.

"Still have much to see before caught by Namini and Elai."
