Somewhere along the line, someone had mentioned to Mercedes that it wasn't good for Julian to be cooped up inside all day, every day. Of course it was an understanding that the boy was...special, but that didn't mean he should be locked up like a prisoner. That also didn't mean that Mercedes would be the one to take him on these outings into the wide, wild world. She had a company to run, after all.

So Mercy hired a nanny of sorts; Ms. CrumplePuff was hard of hearing, legally blind, and on her way to going completely senile. She also didn't have enough wits about her to ask questions concerning Julian's unique looks, was available at the business woman's every beck and call, and fairly cheap cost wise.

Julian...didn't hate Ms. CrumplePuff, per se. She was infinitely better than Mercedes, but she just didn't understand that Julian liked being inside curled up in a chair, reading a book and listening to music. She insisted that young boys needed fresh air and sunshine. After all, look at how pale he was! It just wasn't right!

So that was how Jules ended up at the park this day, swaying slowly on a swing. He kicked his hooves lightly in the sand, drawing lazy designs and glancing up at his nanny in a wistful manner. A nanny who had promptly fallen asleep on her park bench, and showed no sign of taking Julian back to the apartment any time soon.

Ubeknownst to him there was a terror loose in the park, she went by the name of Tia and at first glance she looked like the typical girly girl. The exception behing her many eye'd tentacle and her skin tones but that hardly seemed to matter, she smiled at adults and was pleasant enough when being supervised, her mother of sorts took her to the park every day, mostly because she demanded it. She hated being stuck at home with mother while her big brother got to go out and do his own things and her daddy was sleeping or working.

Dressed in her pinkest of dresses a crown on her head and a fairy wand in the other she went about her regular routine of smacking things with a bit too much force and demanding harshly they change into handsome princes or other random things.

Her attention was soon drawn or rather immediately drawn to a boy who was sitting on the swings. Excellent. He was ..good looking if a bit scrawny but he would do for a prince she supposed. Looking to make sure Adriel wasn't going to stop her she then put on her cutest smile and then moved towards the boy.

"Hello there." she chirped happily to Julian as she gavehim a curtsy, "My name is Tia and this is Opti." She introduced her sleepy eye'd tentacle who merly gave the boy a baleful look before returning to staring at other things.

Well, this was different. Julian honestly didn't remember a time when he had been greeted so cheerfully in his life. Glancing up at the...pink firecracker before him, he slowed his sway to a stop to inspect. That arm...tentacle...thing reminded him only vaguely of the "teniwings" a certain other child he'd once met had possessed, which meant this girl before him was...related? Maybe?

"Julian," he said with a nod of his head, ears twitching slightly as he remained...eerily still.

Tia wondered if he was broken. Tilting her head to the side she put her hands neatly folded in front of her resisiting the urge to put them on her hips. Instead she beamed at him quite cheerfully, her wand neatly in her hands. "I am playing Fairy Princess do you want to play with me?" She asked looking a bit coy as she learned boys tended to be a bit more willing if she pouted at them. "You can be the prince." She chimed up again as she nodded her head happily at the idea.

Julian let the idea roll around in his head for a moment. Playing a game would certainly be more entertaining than sitting here waiting for his nanny to wake up. However, he wasn't exactly sure how this "Fairy Princess" game was played.

He knew from reading that princes were usually the hero. Ok, not a bad gig. He also knew they were usually rich, famous, and strong. Again, not something he minded. Was it the same way in this game? "What exactly do I have to do?" he questioned...purposefully not saying whether he was going to participate or pass on the idea.

She beamed, literally she looked so very happy that moment that he seemed to be considering to play with her. Waving her magic wand she tapped it in her hand..though the way she did it was similar to a rider may with a crop. "All you have to do is rescue me! The fairy princess!" she declared in a dramatic fashion, twirling on the spot to show off how well her dress could flare out. "And you have to defeat the evil witch!" she lowered her voice to a crackling sound as if to make herself sound older.

A incredulous look, but he shrugged and slowly stood from his swing. Again...it was better then sitting around doing nothing. Obviously, however, there was something a little too...matter-of-factish about the way Julian approached the game. Blame Mercedes and his upbringing.

"So where is the witch?" he asked, full of questions, glancing around a bit. Not exactly threatened by the manner with which she held the wand. Had she ever seen Mercy give a presentation about low quarter sales? No, she had not.

Really, she reminded him of what Mercedes had probably been like at their age...just without all the pink sparkling frillyness. And the tentacle.

"MUahahahahaha I am the witch too!" Declared the multiskinned girl lowering her voice to sound as evil as possible. "You see, " she pointed to where the jungle gym was, "We pretend the fairy princess is up there and you have to stop me the evil witch to get to her!" She gave another cackle as she then swirled in her dress and then put her hands on her hips. "You ready to try and degeat the almighty Tia?"

Julian followed the point towards the jungle gym. So, what then? Climb to the top of the jungle gym and princess saved?

"Ok," he said simply...and just started walking over towards the jungle gym. He didn't exactly pay Tia any mind, strolling beyond her and up the slight hill toward where the "castle" with his "damsel in distress" waited.~

Tia gave the boy a strange look as he walked past her and then proceeded to ignore her. Her anger flared and she stalked up behind him and then proceeded to walk briskly around and stopped in front of him.
"SO you think it will be that easy dooo you?" She asked trying to sound like an evil threatening witch. She waved her wand threateningly in Julian's direction "If you come any closer I will turn you into an ugly toad!"

Julian paused only when she came into his path, looking at the wand, then at the girl. He promptly walked back several steps, took a sharp left...and begin walking again, taking a wider circle around Tia in order to resume his "quest".

Strange logic, perhaps. He hadn't come any closer to her...therefor, she had no reason to change him into a toad.

He did not know how to play the game. What was he stupid? She couldn't help but think these things after all what child didn't know how to play these games? Stomping a foot she strode back over to him and put a hand on his shoulder. "No, you have to defeat me before you can rescue the damsel." She clarified sternly before giving him a curt nod of her head before stepping back and looking 'prepared' once more.

It wasn't that he didn't know how to play...it's just that he didn't play pretend very often. You'd think a child who read as much as he did would have an amazing imagination, and he did. He just tended to apply it in...slightly different ways, then most children his age.

So, he looked at the wand, and reached out for it. Quickly. His thought was to catch Tia off guard and snatch the wand from her hand.

The girl had been caught off gaurd but even so she held firmly onto the wand out of pure stubborness, it was thanks of her wrath blood she could hold on so strongely. "No!" she stated bluntly. He still wasn't playing the game right. She was suppose to cast spells at him and he was suppose to dodge or get hit it didn't matter to her.

When she didn't let go, neither would he. Her shout drew his gaze upwards, curious.

"Why not? Wouldn't taking your magic wand be a good way to defeat you?" He wasn't teasing...if anything, he was being unwaveringly serious. "Do you want to be saved, or not?"

Her eyebrows furrowed at his words, yes taking her wand would be the best way of defeating the witch and that was the annoyiong part! She was about to shout at him more but her other words caught her off gaurd. Right, she...wanted to be saved didn't she? Didn't she?

"Y..es I do..." She started her grip lessoning on the shaft of the wand slowly.

Well, that should be all he'd need to pull it away, right? One good yank to dislodge it from her hand, holding it upwards and back, almost behind his head in case she tried to grab it again.

Should he come out triumphant, he'd smile ever so slightly, switching the wand to his extra arm and keeping it hidden behind his back. And once again, he would start his slowly shortening trek towards the jungle gym without another word.

If she still held firm, well...he'd just wait for her reaction to the whole situation, then.

Her eyes watched as the wand was pulled from her grasp and then she stood there dumbly for a moment before she quickly shook herself out of the stupor and then rushed around so that she could climb the jungle gym before he could. After all she was suppose to be the fairy princess up there waiting to be rescued right? She arrived breathing hard and trying to smooth out her dress so she could at least appear pretty when he arrived.

Standing at the bottom of the jungle gym, Julian arrived shortly after Tia managed to make her way to the top. Looking up at her, he waved the wand around.

"Ok, so I defeated the witch...and now I'm here. Where's all my fame and glory?"

Because really, that's all he wanted. Perhaps he could have been Mercy's son after all. He just wanted to be important...and left alone to enjoy his power.

Tia looked at him strangely he was playing this game very oddly and it was getting hard to play this game when he was being so straightforward about it. But she gave him a curtesy and offered him her hand expecting him to take it.

"You get to marry the princess silly. That is your reward for rescueing me." She informed the boy trying to act all cute and giggly again as if she were embaressed about this part.

That...was definitely something Julian had forgotten about those stories. The prince married the princess, and away they went to live happily ever after. Jules, however, didn't know exactly how he felt about all of this. He was young, the world was still full of promise...and he didn't want to marry anyone. He wanted to be famous and rich and alone!

"I don't want to marry you," he said, being overly blunt. Then, looking down at the wand, he tucked it into the back pocket of his shorts. "I'll just keep this then, if there is no reward."

There was silence, the blank stareing at him when he announced he didn't want to marry her and he was going to keep her wand? Her eyes narrowed sharply as she stuck her hand out in a demanding fashion. "No, that is mine. Daddy got it for me." She wasn't playing anymore and if that boy didn't give her back the wand there was going to be some beating ensued. Her tentacle looked at Julian with its many eyes, balefully even as if accussing him of making Tia angry.

"Then give me a better reward," he responded, just as defiant, ignoring the demanding hand with his own set of narrowed eyes. He'd listened to one too many of Mercedes' phone calls to not understand that if you give something, or do something, you should get something in return.

"Squid pro hoe," Jules stated, butchering a term that he'd only been able to guess meant something similar to 'a fair trade'.

Tia didn't understand what he meant by the second part but he wasn't listening to what she wanted and she wanted her wand back now! "What is wrong with marrying the princess?" She demanded in return. "Princess's are rich and you'd become a prince. Now give me back my wand!" Her voice was rising and her tentacle gave her a look as if to remind her to watch her temper. She ignored it her face looking as if a thunder storm was brewing below the surface.

"I already *am* a prince, remember? That's what you told me at the start of all this." Jules took a step back, third arm tucked around to keep the wand safe behind him, main pair of arms crossed over his chest. "And not before you give me a reward for both defeating and rescuing you!"

Julian was deceptively calm. Aside from his eyes which still remained demandingly narrowed, there was no change from the almost empty look on his face. He really didn't care who gave her the wand, or how mad she got. Soon, he was just going to walk away with it.

Well that was the breaking point, all reason fled from her small child brain as the wand was hidden further from view and he continued to refuse her demand. She didn't deal well with not getting her way and it only took two seconds for her to lunge at the boy her hands out in a fashion similar to a cat trying to claw someone. She was her daddy's girl...and she reacted much like a wrath child may. She hit him, many times tried to reach behind him to snatch the wand out of his grasp. Regardless if he had more arms than her she was being a hellion at this point.

Julian's third arm clutched the wand protectively behind his back as he tried to both push and punch Tia away, letting out a strange cry somewhere between a deer's scream and a hiss. He didn't have claws to strike with, but he knew he had fangs, so between getting hit he'd snap and bite at her violently. He was trying, so valiantly trying, to fight her off. His nice uniform tore under her assault and he was suffering more than his fair share of cuts and bruises.

Tia was blinded by rage she didn't think she didn't go through the movements of reason she was just being brutal. If he bit she bit it he punched she doubled her efforts to hurt him. Quickly though before it esculated to purple tentacles reached forward and wrapped themselves around the kids waistes. Adriel to the rescue.

"Tia stop that!" Adriel commanded in his own motherly stern voice, his tentacles were strong, and it was a trait given to him by his DNA mother J'her. THey lifted both the children seperating them successfully even if Tia was trying her damndest to claw and strike her way back at Julian.

Well, this was certainly a new twist of events. One minute he was brawling with Tia, the next he was flying through the air and lifted away. Safe, perhaps...certainly not sound. His lip was bleeding, one whole side of his face was bruised, and as mentioned before his uniform was torn and now bloody as well. But he still had the wand! And that's all that mattered to him. He'd kept his prize, as ill gotten as it may have been.

Ms. CrumplePuff, however, would not come to Julian's rescue as Adriel had come to Tia's. She was still...away, on whatever bench she'd fallen asleep on; peacefully snoring away and unaware of the fight that had just taken place. Probably for the better. She may be able to overlook Julian's abnormalities, but there was no way she'd miss Tia and Adri's tentacles.

Adriel sighed as Tia continued to try and fight her way to Julian clawing at him poor Fuu was getting the brunt of the abuse. He ignored her struggles for the moment before he turned his focus onto her...'friend'?

"are you alright?" he inquired softly to the boy, taking out a hankercheif with his free hand to dab the boys bleeding lip. "What happened?" He was asking Julian only because Tia hadn't stopped fighting yet. It could take minutes before she calmed down.

Julian's first reaction was to hiss as the cloth dabbed his lip, jerking his head away. He was panting, tired now as the adrenaline worked its way out of his system. He looked up at Adriel as wide eyed as his face could manage...and so very suddenly started to cry. More of a scream, really...and after a moment of trying, managed to force out a few fat tears. Because crying, of course, was always the answer.

"S-she start-ted it!" he wailed, pointing an accusing finger at the struggling girl. "We were play-aying, and she...SHE SAID I COULD SEE IT!" Another wail, just for good measure. Guiltily, he pulled the wand from his pocket, holding it up to Adriel in his third arm.

Adriel felt a pang of sympathy for the boy, he was a sucker for tears. Tia on the other hand groweld and hissed trying desperately to reach for the wand now that it was revealed. SHe would of protested that Julian was lying except she was so focused on that wand the girl couldn't think straight.

THe man's eyes caught sight of the wand and he glanced back to Tia before back to the boy.

"Ah...that is a very special toy for Tia, her daddy got it for her." He explained slowly trying to get Tia under control. "I am sorry she hit you, how about I buy you an icecream? In exchange for the wand? Then we can see about taking care of your hurts." He really did sound motherly didn't he?

Julian sniffled, blinking his eyes - one pair of which more sort of winced instead of blinked - pushing out a few more tears as he wiped his 'runny nose' on the back of his one intact sleeve.

"K-kay," he nearly whimpered, ears laying back into his tussled hair. Give the boy an Oscar, seriously. Mercedes would have been so proud of him. "Just...p-please don't let her beat m-me up?" It probably helped that his DNA was shared with that of a faun. He definitely had that 'doe-eyed' thing down pat, despite the creepy nature of his eyes.

Adriel chuckeled and nodded his head, "She just wants the wand back, she'll be fine once she has it." He explained as he reached for the wand to take it out of the boys hand. He went to lower Julian to the gound before turning to give Tia a stern look. "Tia you can only have this back if you calm down. " He stated simply the girls eyes narrowed on him and then flickered back to the wand. She then made grabby hands for it whimpering slightly her anger slowly being defused. With a sigh he gave it to her and she clutched it to her chest tightly, Opti only stared at Julian as if it could see through his acting. "Tia you should apologize you can't go beating others up." He stated firmly, the girl looked lessed than willing to apologized she just threw Julian a glare and hugged her wand more.

The moment Adri's back was turned, Julian's eyes narrowed happily and something like a grin curled the side of his face that wasn't swollen and bleeding. He looked at Tia expectantly, but was ready to return to his previous nature the moment the man turned back to him.

And while there was a part of him that said he should "apologize" for taking Tia's wand in the first place, Jules squashed it firmly. He was trying to play the part, sure...but that would have been going too far into character. Instead he sniffled again, and took a 'fearful' step behind the adult's leg.

Tia downright refused to apologize just holding her wand tears now threatening to spill on her still angry face. Her mommy always took other peoples side...never hers. Angry and hurt she just was quiet and sullen. Her own battlewounds showing quite clearly and knowing that at least daddy would care.

"Come on now, we will go for icecream and make up alright? " He looked up and noticed the icecream man had actually been heading in their direction, Fuu still had a tight hold on Tia a show of how he didn't trust for her to remain calm. "Come on now we will go and get some, what kind do you want...?" Adriel asked Julien before realizing he didn't know the boys name.

He couldn't believe how gullible this guy was. Seriously? There was a nasty thought to see just how far he could take this thing...but again, the boy didn't want to push his luck.

"I'm Julian," he answered the unasked question. "And may I have a chocolate cone, please?" Despite the tentacle that obviously had a handle on Tia, Julian made sure to stay out of striking distance.

Adriel nodded his head rubbing the top of his head lightly. "Yes chocolate is fine," The grown man replied as he tugged on Tia with his tentacle. Tia normally wouldn't of cared being ignored but suddenly having the boy receive all the attention and ice cream even though he was the one who started it made her angry and want attention as well.

"I want one too!" she stated stubbornly only earning a glare from her mother.

"You apologize to Julian and maybe you'll get one. Only good girls get icecream." He stated sternly. Tia couldn't beleive this, she shot the boy the ugliest glare she could muster before she stomped her feet and crossed her arms over her chest.

"NO!"

Julian sensed that perhaps now was the time to start thinking about his exit. To be quite honest, his face hurt a bit more than he was letting on. He was also reminded that he had to think up a good excuse to tell Ms. CrumplePuff about his torn and bloody uniform. And Mercedes. Oh, it was not going to be a fun night.

"Maybe...I should just go," he offered, some of that meekness leaking away from his voice. The wheels were already spinning two thoughts ahead. Maybe he could tell them he got jumped by a gaggle of other boys. They were teasing him about being...unique. Yes, that would work. Not that Mercedes would care, but at least it would keep him out of trouble.

Adriel looked concerned about the boy wanting to go, "I should take you home and have Tia apologize to your parents and you." He stated giving the young girl a stern look, her reply was to avoid looking at him at all. She was standing her ground she refused to let her mother make her apologize to anyone. Especially that boy!

"You must of come here with someone...who?" Adriel asked looking around for a likely suspect.

Mph, dammit. Gullible, yes...and too overly helpful. Julian was still for a moment, thinking. A lie, quick. Quick! "I...live close by. I'm allowed to come here by myself," he pointed in the totally opposite direction of where Ms. CrumplePuff still sat, napping. "I can make it myself."

He really didn't want to give Adriel any time to respond. He'd start off in the direction he pointed, planning his route to double back while trying to not be seen.

Adriel reached out and then was stopped by a yank which was Tia on his tentacle. "You young miss...have a lot to explain to your father when we get home." He stated sternly, though he noticed the old woman sleeping on the bench and wondered if he should wake her...after all she had been here as long as he had...he hoped she was okay. But another yank dissuaded him and thus he was forced to take Tia home.
