Since he was a cub, the brave red lion with Angelic in his veins had loved and lost and was never able to truely love again. Now as an adult he did indeed have some flings in the past but he could never really get into the L word again. He had even considered that he may not be attracted to women, but men were just not his thing; no matter how feminine they were!

So now here he is, laying under a large vibrant tree as he flicking his tail in and out of the water. His eye lids were getting heavy and with no real direction in his life taking a looong nap was no problem (nor anything out of the ordinary).

Smirnoff's ear twitched as he heard a female's voice off in the distance. There was nothing he wanted to do with said female. So with no interest he laid his head back down and went bac to sleep. Nothing was moving this red giant.

'Grrr... What is this female rambling on about? Tryin' to sleep over here..' Smirnoff thought to himself as he begrudgingly opened his eyes. Before he saw the female he began to answer her.

"Oh, you th---" Then he did see her. She was a gorgeous golden color and her markings were just as he had remembered them only more beautiful bigger. Was it really her? Or was he dreaming? Still laying down he stared at her from the distance, mesmerized.

Smirnoff smirked, a wide momentary grin while she wasn't looking. "I don't know you.. But I will." He quickly got to his feet and let out a barely audible snarl. "So you going to run, or what? It'd really be more fun for me if you did." She really had no idea who he was.. How crazy.

Which way was she going to run? Smirnoff ran everywhere he went, running was his main mode of transportation, and just by looking at his body and his movements it wasn't difficult to tell.

Inoff's grin spread. If ever he was handed a gift from serendipity, this was it. This land was very familiar to him. As she bolted, the red lion went up the side of the hillside, clawing into the familiar incline he knew she wouldn't escape from him this time, or hopefully again. This lion was no loser. Around the side he went, he'd lost sight of her but not faith in fate.

Greedy violet eyes searched the adjacent terrain for the familiar gold pelt. He almost missed her, but luck was on his side. Quickly he changed directions to run directly into her with no battle cry or warning signal, all's fair in love and war.

The lion leapt into the air with all of his momentum and crashed into his victim with grace. Once they made contact, Smirnoff made it clear he was now in control of the situation. His tenderness would surely peak through as soon as she calmed down. Until then however he struggled for a moment to pin her to the ground.

"I'm not letting you go again, Gabriel." She hadn't given her name yet, but she didn't need to. His tone was calm through his labored voice.

When it finally hit her, Smirnoff grinned and licked her forehead lovingly.

"Oh yes way! I've missed you, my little fouled mouthed fire cracker!" Looking at her now, he couldn't believe she had grown into such a sexy female. It felt like they would never get to this point in their lives where they actually had a chance of joining in union. Not that this was the joining of union ceremony he had imagined, but it was as good as.

Smirnoff backed up, finally letting the lioness to her feet. That was a fantastic question, where had he been all this time? For a moment he thought about a satisfactory answer with a smile ever present. His life had been long and taxing so far and it showed in silvery strands of stress induced aging in his mane and some scars from scraps he had gotten into. Was now the time to tell her he'd taken another as a mate and lost her to another male and that's where the scars were from? Not quite yet.

"Well, days are long, years are short.. Well, it's a rather long story. My family disowned me after a little life drama and I've spent a lot of time on the coast I guess." He shrugged and turned the attention back on here.

"And where have you been?"
