Are ******** laughably ridiculous and my campus is full of them. There are two different kinds of feminists in my eyes: those who want equality for everyone and those who advocate women's rights all over the place. Perhaps they would've been better received a century ago, but holy s**t, please stop cramming your beliefs down my throat.
People here are too serious. Having the ability to fight for your beliefs is important, but you need to be able to laugh off the bastards, too -- you can't always be on the defensive and can't allow yourself to get offended about every little thing -- like a Goddamn joke, for instance.
Outline your beliefs firmly, but don't forget that a lot of people are ******** joking. Holy balls.

I like to think of myself as more egalitarian than feminist really. A lot of people get really worked up on both sides when it comes to feminism. It has really become a "bad word" these days in that if you call yourself a feminist people assume you are a man-hating b***h. There are extremists to every ideology, but at its core, feminism is just equality for women.
Personally, I hate sexist jokes. Along with dead baby jokes, racist jokes, or any joke that offensive just for the sake of being offensive. I just don't think they are funny at all and I get absolutely sick of hearing them. I hear them just about everyday so I am immediately turned off by people who make those types of jokes constantly.

Kudos to you. :B I tell bad jokes, not for the sake of being offensive, but because I like poking fun.
I guess it's bad to say it's only feminists that I'm really at ends with, but I think it's important to be able to laugh at your beliefs about as much as you advocate them. It's important to see both sides of it -- what you believe and what others may believe and, therefore, find such-and-such joke hilarious.
One of my favorite jokes right now: How to you get a trustifarian to bathe?
Hide his dad's credit card under a bar of soap.

Eh, it's a little different when seeing "both sides of the issue" involves letting bigotry (albeit casual bigotry) go. Jokes are really just expressions of our prejudices and frustrations, and as funny as some are, sometimes it's not worth it to get a belly laugh out of people and then feel bad about it later. For me, anyway. And you know how much I like to giggle. : P

I've bitched about Tiffany's friend a lot over this. It's like they're polar opposites. Tiffany is the feminist who wants equality, Crystal is the one who badgers on that men are stupid jerks blah blah blah. She can't even take a god damn joke about a group of people that she isn't. She would give me the evil eye when I say "retard" for ******** sake.
And, oh this one is good. This b***h is a girl who owns a book that has quote "If a clothing store doesn't have your size, come in with a ******** flamethrower! BE PROUD OF YOURSELF". And when she comments to me "It's okay, I'm fat" I'd compliment her and she would say "Don't pity me neutral I like being this way I'm not ashamed".
Then my lady is losing pounds like crazy, and not in a good way either. It's making us worried. Tiffany talks to Crystal about it, and she acts like Tiffany just slapped her in the face.
What. The. ********.

A girl in my women's studies class sophomore year said it was wrong for men to have men's only spaces, as it was sexist, but thought women should be able to have women's only spaces. She also said that unisex bathrooms would result in all men taking the opportunity to rape women. neutral

I'm pretty cool and I'm one of them. Militant=/=misandrist/unfunny. That just means you see inequality in more than just pay gaps and legislation and think it's important to speak up.

Yeah, that's a sensible reaction if a store doesn't have your size. It's be completely illogical to start your own store carrying clothing in "better" sizes, instead destroy what's already available to people who are those sizes.

Feminism still has a place in this world considering the fact that women still get paid around 3/5 what men make on average, but the whole "MEN ARE INFERIOR" s**t gets old and is such an obvious reaction to their own insecurity.
Men are probably on the way out considering the X chromosome's constant attacks on Y.
PS if they have a problem about a store not carrying their size they should stop shopping at waif stores and shop at normal places instead. Or if that isn't good enough they can go to Dress Barn or Lane Giants.
