Everything ******** hurt. Euterpe wasn't one for unnecessary language but everything seriously hurt. It was a wonder that the senshi somehow managed to bring himself to his feet to exit out of the warehouse.

That miracle didn't last for long, stumbling and falling outside of the warehouse flat on his face, He probably ate mud.. Mud didn't taste good. It tasted better when he was a kid-- Why was he debating this? He didn't know. All he knew was that everything hurt. Especially his spine. He knew he had taken a direct hit from Alkaid that had him almost knocked out for good.

If Elysion hadn't injected them then.. Well, Euterpe was sure he wouldn't have been here. Speaking of Elysion.. A glimpse of Pegasus ran through his mind, the last he saw of her was the image of her and lots of angry orbs. A lot.

"Goddamnit, this isn't cool. T.. This is why I voted on .. pacifism." He mumbled, flailing around for a bit. He finally managed to roll over (very painfully,) his eyes looking up toward the stars. There.. wasnt much stars tonight. How did this night end up so shitty? One moment he had been flying through space and the next, his groin, spine and shin were introduced to a corrupted senshi that had been far too ruthless for Euterpe's own good.

Maybe he could sleep here.

Luckily, Flora managed to escape from Elysion with only a few scrapes and bruises, though it was possibly because her intention was not to engage in any fights. Especially since the reason she had been late for the meeting was that she had ran into a youma along the way. She had only slipped into the warehouse in the nick of time as Kurma whisked them away into space. It had been utterly confusing, but she had simply followed her Princess through the portal, seen Helios get mad, witnessed the invasion of Elysion and Negaversers trying to bowl her Princess over...

It had been a long night. And now, watching the sun rise and the first rays of sunlight hit her, Sailor Flora felt utterly exhausted, although she supposed there were others in a far worse state. Princess Chronos had been nearby Neso, last she saw, and she was sure the Senshi of Summer would take good care of the slightly disoriented girl.

Right now however, she spotted someone that looked worse for wear, as though he had gone through a fight with a tough adversary. And she supposed she had. "Oi, music boy." She muttered, squatting down next to his body. "You can't stay here forever, you know."

"Oi, flower power." He mumbled in response, thankful for the fact she put herself in his line of vision instead of forcing himself to look at her. He groaned, lying there like a turtle on it's back.

"Actually-- Technically I could. But by choice? No." He tried to crack a joke but it hurt to think. It hurt to talk. "I'm prettty sure dreadlocks hit my spine. She didn't break it but goddamnit, you women and your heels of steel." Euterpe laid there, his outfit and scarf were stained with mud and blood while his headphones sat brokenly on his head. He contemplated the future day ahead of them.

"What are my choices? Walk back to my apartment? Get dragged back to my apartment? Die here or at my apartment?" All three choices involved Euterpe in an immobile heap. He had some serious injuries and he hoped it didn't affect his breakdancing in the future.

"You know what sucks?" It wasn't a question for Flora to answer, as Euterpe continued on. "I wasn't even cool on the battlefield. I ran to find Pegasus and wham! Her heel. How lame is that?" Euterpe's mumbles was uncharacteristically serious, even with a cheerful note of levity.

"Dreadlocks?" Flora tilted her head to the side, trying to think. She didn't seem to remember any Negaversers with dreadlocks, besides, of course, the Princess' account of Charonite, but Euterpe clearly defined his attacker as a female. And unless Charonite had somehow decided to go through a sex change, which she highly doubted was possible...

It was an incredibly stupid thought, and somewhat hilarious to think about, but she banished it from her mind. It wouldn't do to suddenly break into a chuckle while staring down at an injured friend.

She gave him a light whack on his head at his third option. "Hey, don't say things like that! I thought you weren't the kind to be a pessimist!" Although, really, when she herself had almost died on the battlefield before, it had taken a while for her to struggle back into her cheery self.

"Who's this dreadlocks?" Flora asked, while grasping one of his arms and putting it around her shoulders, trying to haul him up to his feet. "Sounds like a pretty decent fighter." Perhaps another person she would have to put down on her list of who to look out for. Also added, of course, to her list of grudges against Negaversers; the recent inclusions being Uranophane and that blue-haired shortie who had attempted to bowl over her Princess.

"I'm not being a pessimist!" Euterpe argued, struggling to lift his head. Bad move. As fast as he got up was as fast as his head dropped back down. "C'mon-- even power rangers die heroic deaths. That's not pessimistic." He argued, making little sense, Flora's attempts shooting streams of pain through his body. Why didn't she elave him on the ground? Why was she trying to get him to stand up?

"Goddamnit-- Flora, thanks for the thought but I don't really--" He cut himself off as the movement of standing to his feet brought up a searing pain in his spine, sucking in a breath. "-- really.. think you can get me to my apartment. Her name's Alkaid by the way." While Euterpe hadn't personally gotten her name, murmurs along the warehouse inhabitants had revealed to him about the corrupted senshi.

The negaverse could actually get the senshi on their side? Daaaaaamn. If you were playing chess, what was the point of a war if you could just take the other guy's pieces? A move Euterpe definitely would have done in a chess game.

In war? Well, it sucked to be on the side that had stolen chess pieces.

"Power rangers is a kid show." Flora said in return, looking puzzled. "I'm sure they wouldn't kill off a hero in a show. For kids." She vaguely remembered watching a few episodes of the older power rangers show, and she didn't think there were any deaths? Unless you counted the minions, and the blowing up of giant robots, which was really, if you think about it, like how they considered youma disposable because they were monsters...

"Never underestimate senshi strength, music boy." The Senshi of Spring scoffed, shaking her head. "And if you think I'm going to leave you here to die on the street, well... I'd never do that! What kind of a friend do you think I am?" She persisted, keeping a firm grip on him. "Does it hurt to walk?"

"Alkaid." She murmured, searing the mind into her own mind. "Dreadlocks girl. I see. What does she look like? Besides the hair, of course." It didn't occur to her that it could have been a corrupted senshi... besides, Flora had never met Alkaid pre-corruption before.

"A much better friend than me-- I'd leave myself out here." Euterpe muttered, trying to deal with the pain in a stoic manner. (Ha! Fat chance! The only thing Euterpe knew of 'stoic' was how to spell it.) He didn't need to answer Flora's question, his teeth gritted and face gone pale to keep himself from groaning. Judging the deathly pallor under his tan, he was probably rated amongst those most injured in the outcome of Elysion.

"She's blonde, dreadlocks. Black dress-- like your fuku. It even has the lines-- black and orange. Tiger stripey. Drop dead gorgeous.. she has this.. glowing ball that makes you follow it. Whether you want to or not." Euterpe's grim tone revealed he had not wanted to follow that ball, as shiny as it was. That was the most Flora would be getting out of Euterpe before he redirected the girl (painfully so) to his motorcycle. He wasn't leaving his precious baby behind. Not his baby. Nor would he let Flora drive his baby.

.... ... Somehow, they ended up at the front of his apartment door. Somehow.

"You are nuts." Flora declared, accentuating a shake of her blond curls with a sigh. Really! She wasn't about to let patrolling policemen stumble upon a weakened senshi, bring him back for interrogation and then slam him behind bars. It would cause such a hullabaloo if it got on the news, and it would in turn, result in more chaos. That, they didn't need.

"Senshi." She whispered upon hearing the description, stopping dead in her tracks. So the Negaverse had taken another. How many had they brought over to their side? Had they given themselves over willingly? Did that matter? They were now fighting on the dark side, and Flora promised herself that she would kick this Senshi's butt for laying such ruin to her friend.

Somehow, Euterpe had managed to take control of his motorcycle... which was partly due to that Flora did not know how to drive one. "You know," she started when they reached his apartment, "we really should power down. I'm not keen on having a youma gallop right up to us when you're in no condition to fight." As she talked, Sailor Flora became Eve Summers, and waited for the other patiently to switch back into his civilian form.

It wasn't an impossible thought if one went by Tanzanite's words-- she did claim she would take their numbers. Perhaps it was un-senshilike, but Luke didn't really care. Like the Batman movie had once emphasized, there was a very thin line between hero and a villain.

You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

It seemed that Alkaid had lived long enough to become the villain. But his thoughts weren't so much focused on the corrupted senshi as much as finding the key to his apartment. He dug around in his pockets, his hands coming out empty. Only when he looked in the hood of his jacket did he find his key, painstakingly stuffing it into the door rather clumsily. After several tries, the door finally opened, the senshi somehow going through the phases of powering down as he stumbled in.

Medical documents and essays were scattered everywhere, a first aid kit stuffed in an open shelf. It was clean, by a minimally standard definition. Minimally. If you were ok with clothes and school papers scattered everywhere. If it was a normal situation, Euterpe might have teased Eve about going into a man's apartment-- but it wasn't normal.

Back to the ground he went, on carpeted floor this time. Face flat. Awesome. The ripped backside of his shirt would reveal a severe bruise on his spine, where Alkaid's heel had made contact, along with multiple other bruises.

Even as Flora had her struggles about how grey areas were in their super-powered lives, she was adamant that she would never become a villain. It was mostly about questioning if the Negaverse was truly as vilified as it was in their eyes, and Flora would rather kill herself than let herself, or any other of her senshi friends get corrupted. That was one semblance of logic she could still cling to, to retain who she was and to keep her sane.

"If I didn't know better, I'd say that you're in love with the floor today. I mean, if I hadn't dragged you back here, you probably would have just stayed there." Would any other senshi have seen him and brought him back? Probably, but she didn't want to count on maybes. Who knew what would have happened if he had been left there? "And now that you're back," She continued, crossing the room to reach the first aid kit, "you decide to kiss the floor." Pulling the kit open, she returned to where Luke was and squatted down beside him. "Want me to tell Rea about this floor fetish of yours?" She tried to keep her voice as light-hearted as possible, to make him feel better. It was better than grimly dabbing at his bruises with a frown upon her face.

Smiles made everything better. This was how she managed to keep herself smiling; for Serenade, for Rea, for Luke, and for everyone else.

"If the floor was female, you might want to tell Rea. But considering how the floor is decidedly ungendered .. mphghh." The rest of his sentence was lost within the cool touch of the ground, rolling over to press his injured back against the cold tiles.

Oh, that felt good. So good.

"Just leave me, Eve. I can .. take care of myself." He pronounced her name like the pokemon Eevee, Ee-vee, as to come out with some sort of pun. But the pun must not have been finished in his mind because he said nothing else to continue it. He could take care of himself, right?

Or call some ladies in his phonebook to take care of him. But he hated sharing his apartment. He hated inconveniencing others-- he was supposed to be the fun inconvenience. Not the useless one with a spine injury. ARGGH.

"Well then, congratulations! You have just discovered a new sexuality for yourself!" She joked, suppressing a sigh as he flipped over, preventing her from dabbing at the wounds on his back. It felt like second nature to her; unscrewing the cap to the bottle of ointment and putting them on the cotton pads. After all, they had all been tending to their own bruises after they had slowly gotten used to their new identities.

"No, you can't." Eve declared firmly, beginning to dab at his bruises. "You'd just lie there. And maybe make out with the floor. I'll just text Rea that I'll be back late." She wasn't about to haul a battered and broken friend back to his house, and then just leave him there. Especially when she was confident that he would probably just fall asleep and neglect to take care of himself.

Boys were such hopeless creatures sometimes, really.

"Have I ever declared my undyingly love for you Eve?" Euterpe struggled to sit up, after a few attempts, successfully doing so for the female to tend to his injuries. "The totally non-romantic friendly kind of love? Because if I haven't, I'm declaring it now." Euterpe lifted up a hand as if to make a gand gesture but it was ruined quickly when the pain shot through his arm, having yet to even lift halfway.

OWOWOWOW-- He hissed as he put his arm back down.Okay, he wasn't pulling that move again for awhile.

But he really did appreciate her help. Once in a while, it was nice to have a soothing presence. No ulterior motives, just a sense of kinship between the two. What better way to show his appreciation than a ____?

Euterpe leaned forward, without warning, to brush his lips softly against Eve's cheek. There was nothing remotely related to the kind of intimacy he would have liked to share with Rea but nonetheless, it was a kiss. But in a completely brotherly and friendly way, to display the great lengths of his friendly affection for the flower-fairy who always seemed to help him out. Sort of the kind of kiss a brother would give his little sister.

"Thanks Flower Fairy for always giving me a hand. You may not approve of me and Rea yet but you will. If it ever happens." Luke chuckled, giving Eve a thumbs-up.

"Heh." A smile curled on her lips, a genuine one that made her feel better despite the current circumstances of kneeling over a friend and tending to his wounds. "I'll keep that in mind, music boy~ It isn't everyday I get a love declaration, you know. I'm touched." And she truly was; it made her think about how many friends she had gotten to know and grown close to because of the dangerous side-job she sometimes despised. It was times like this that made one feel that sometimes, fighting was worth it.

Eve could only grin in return, tears welling as he pecked her on the cheek. She had always been an only child, so having so many close friends made her feel like she actually had siblings. "You're a dork." She laughed, giving him a gentle hug. "We'll see about Rea though. We'll see." The blond girl teased, sticking out her tongue playfully at him.

It was alright. He was alive, and that was all that mattered.
