In the silent calm of night, in that moment just before sleep and wakefulness, you might just catch a glimpse of a realm that is equal parts foreign and familiar. You’ve always regarded it as just a dream, a trick of your mind, a figment of your imagination that comes forth right as you’re about to drift off to sleep. However, dreams can be more tied to reality than one might think, and that vision is more than something merely borne from your own wandering thoughts: when you gaze into that part of you, you are looking into a reflection of a realm that is every bit as real as the ground you stand on during the day.
A realm by the name of Elysion.
Since the days of the youth of humanity, this has been the sanctuary of the hopes and dreams of all those who dwell on Earth. It is normally a place of peace, but history has shown that it can also become a stage for violence and cruelty. Elysion has a special connection to the rest of the world -- what takes place there has a direct effect on what's going on everywhere else -- and because of that, it has witnessed attempts to be taken over, all for the sake of conquering the Earth at large.
The priest of Elysion, Helios, along with the guardian Eyes, were tasked to watch over this sacred plane and ensure that its harmony with the Earth remained undisturbed. Unfortunately, its recent rediscovery by two opposing forces means that harmony is about to be broken...
