 Mai looked around her new 'home' with a critical eye, well home for the time being she wasn't sure how long she would be staying. Looking at her new 'master' she arched an eyebrow "we live here master?" she asked giving an added emphasis to the word master showing him she didn't think of him as her master. At least not till he got her respect

Junketsu smirked more to hisself at the way she said 'master'. "You know, I'd really rather you not strain yourself to call me master. Junketsu is just fine." He opened the door to his house and motioned Mai to follow.

Mai followed him keeping a distance in between them should he turn on her or something. "Can I call you Jun?" she asked already planning on doing so with or without his acceptance. "So where's my room?" she asked eyes scanning the house

"Jun? That's new. Sure I don't mind at all. And your room is....Junketsu was walking down the hallway looking for a good room "Right here." He opened the door to show a room with only a dresser and a queen size bed. "Eh, sorry about the little furnishing. I'm not the decorating type. Also, if it's ok with you, I need your clothes size so I can get you some clothes." Junketsu smiled and walked off. "Feel free to roam. I'll be down the hall in the third room to your right"

Mai nodded walking into her new room and setting her pack with the few things she had left on the bed. Turning around she caught a glimpse of Jun as he disappeared out the door. Shrugging she turned her attention to her room running her fingers over the bedspread "pretty" she commented softly to herself the past week caught up with her. The ambush, the slave market, the new home all caught up with her and she was hit with a wave of fatigue laying down on top of the bedspread she didn't really expect to fall asleep, but soon enough drifted off

After a while, Junketsu walked by her room and saw Mai laying down sleep. He kind of chuckled to hisself and closed her door softly. He didn't want to disturb her sleep. 'She's probably been through hell. I'll let her sleep.' He left to the kitchen and started cooking.

The smell of food cooking and the growl of her stomach pulled Mai from a peaceful sleep. Rubbing bleary eyes she followed her nose and found Jun in the kitchen cooking "what are you making?" she asked moving to stand beside him

He looked down and smiled. "Oh, you're awake. Well, I'm making some chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. Is that ok?" He held out his arm so Mai wouldn't get popped by the grease and resumed making gravy.

Mai stepped back to make him more comfortable, walking over to the table she plopped herself down on a chair rather unladylike but she didn't care, "as long as it's food I don't mind I'm starving" she said honestly laying her head down on her arms still groggy from her nap

"Very well then. It's almost finished. Would you mind getting your own plate? I'm not very hungry." He started putting the finishing touches on the mashed potatoes.

Mai looked through a few cabinets until she found the plates and grabbed one holding it uncertainly "are you sure you aren't hungry?" she asked closing the cabinet and bringing the plate to him

Junketsu started putting food on her plate. "I'll have to go to work soon, so I can't exactly eat right now. It'll just leave even hungrier. So I eat when I get back." He turned around with a reassuring smile.

Taking her plate to the table she sat down and took a small bite chewing slowly "what is your job?" she asked after she had swallowed putting her fork down

Combing his hair back, Junketsu started putting it in a high ponytail. "I get rid of the ones who try to get rid of me."
