The Citadel is the center of Council Space, and home to the Council, a group of represenatives of races who have proven to be a great asset to the galactic community. The primary mode of security is Citadel Securrity, otherwise known as "C-sec", who act as police. The current council has a member from each of the following: Turians, Asari, Salarians, and Humans.
The Citadel is also home to the ambassadors for each of the following races: Volus, Hanar, Elcor, Asari, Humans, Turians, Salarians, and Turians. An unusual race called the keepers inhabit the Citadel, they don't interact with anyone, they simply maintain the Citadel. The station is divided into six sections, the Prseidium, where the Council, the wealthy, and ambassadors reside. As well as five massive arms, called "wards", the arms can be pulled together to form a massive shield, each ward is covered in a sprawling city, inhabited by millions of poeple from every race and background.
