Killing two birds with one stone was not a phrase Belladonna was fond of simply because it resulted in the death of innocent creatures, but the idea of knocking out two tasks with one swoop was something she could fully get behind. So when Kasumi and Belladonna needed some very important ghoul-time bonding, it happened at the same time that she needed to drop off a certain note to a certain wisp inviting him to a certain pet walk and potential picnic. Oh wait, no. Definite picnic. She had written that on the note. Hopefully he wouldn't think too much of the love-struck demon-rabbit at the top of the note, because that was just on the stationary. But wasn't it odd how Belladonna had picked that particular one? She had a million sets! But that didn't matter. She wasn't blushing! Not one bit! With a bit of relish in herself, Belladonna bent down and slipped the note under the wisp's door, glad he had hung a sign outside to let her know which room was his. Clapping her hands together once in glee, the witch turned and skipped happily to Kasumi's room.
A little black and white striped back adorned with a glitter skull was draped over one arm, full to bursting with snacks and movies and random little notes the witch had written to the ghoul in class but hadn't had time to give her. This day was about them and they would watch sappy movies and catch up on everything they had missed! This whole school thing was rather taxing on one's close relationship with one's best ghoulfriend. But no matter! The time was here and Belladonna reached up and knocked on Kasumi's door, letting one long "Kasssuuummiiiiii!" be her vocal announcement of her arrival.

Had Belladonna known Kasumi was not at home at the time, she probably wouldn't have stopped by. However, it just so happened that Horobi, Kasumi’s best and greatest minipet-slash-dormkeeper was present. Hearing the knocking (somehow, for he lacked the ears to do so) and recognizing the voice of one Miss Perky Goth in Pink, the little wisp decided to greet her. Phasing through the door, he gave her a little twitter that sounded much like very low-toned bells. Horobi was always happy to see someone, especially someone that Kasumi ranted and raved about in affection constantly. If he could speak, he would have told Belladonna that Kasumi would be right back and was currently on an errand. But since he couldn’t, he simply barrel-rolled a few times in the air and lit on her shoulder, swirling his mist around her in a happy, wispy hug. After giving her a healthy dose of affection, Horobi zoomed to the doorknob and careened around it fast enough to open it, even with his semi-solid body. The door creaked open and Horobi floated in front of the witch, guiding her to wait inside for Kasumi to return.
There was a small note posted on the push pin board above Kasumi’s desk. In black text, it read, “Remember to give the budget list to Miss Rain! Also remember to ask about the playlist! And CHAPERONES!”
No doubt Kasumi was out making some quick deliveries.
Horobi twirled a few times in front of the witch. If he could speak, he would be engaging her in some serious minipet conversation. “I have to know where you got that dress. It’s divine!” or “How are your classes? Are you getting enough sleep?” or “Oh my Jack, Bella, look at her butt. It is like, so big.”

The fact that Kasumi was not in her room did not deter the witch one bit as Korobi phased through the door and greeted Belladonna with the most pleasant sound she had ever heard a pet make. For that reason, Korobi would always hold a special place in the witch's heart reserved especially for the pets of others. "Hello Korobi dear!" The witch's hand reached up to enact what she deemed to be petting him since well, he was kind of a ghost and well, one really could pet him very well, but she would at least try! And oh look, the dear opened the door for her. Though she would never understand how, she curtsied to him and trotted in, letting the bag drop as her eyes idly danced around the room. It was always so interesting to see people's rooms when they were absent... Like a little hand-print left behind of themselves they thought no one else might see.
"Playlist? Chaperones? Korobi, do you know anything about this?" The witch asked, pointing to the pin board. That would definitely be something she would ask about when the ghoul returned. Until then it was set up the food and movies in a nice little area so when Kasumi returned she would be surprised! Or at least delighted! And Korobi was excellent company for the venture...

Oh, Belladonna had found the board! Horobi had been hovering around his mistress while she was writing it. Whatever it was, it was A Very Big Deal and requires Lots of Effort and Planning. Horobi, however, did not possess the ability to tell Belladonna. So instead, since she was so curious and he liked her so much, he attempted to re-enact what the board was all about. “It was a dance, you see!” he tried to say, swaying back and forth in the air as if doing a waltz, his chime-like voice lilting with the beat of his imaginary music. He twirled a few times and went back to his faux waltz. Would she understand? Or would she just think it was cute?
Kasumi had just phased through the door at that time, a pile of parchment in her hands. Notes upon notes were all she could see until she practically ran into Belladonna. The ghost looked up in surprise and delight. “Ah! Hello Miss Belladonna! How are you? I assume Horobi let you in? Good boy.”
Horobi chimed in happiness, still waltzing in the air.
“What can I do for you, Miss Belladonna? And please don’t mind the mess.”

Unfortunately for the witch (and the pet involved) Belladonna didn't understand anything Horobi was trying to tell her. Which was unfortunate because it looked like he was dancing and singing a song and wasn't that just delightful? In fact, Belladonna couldn't help but sway a little and giggle at the pet. He was every so delightful and Belladonna did wonder how Kasumi had ever taught him such a trick!! And then the person she was just thinking about arrived.
"Oh hello Kasumi!" It was customary for the witch to hug her best ghoulfriend, but this time it was a far away hug so she wouldn't disrupt the numerous amounts of paper in her arms. "Um! What's all that?"
Oh! The witch pointed to the once dancing pet. "And how did you teach him to dance and sing? He's very good!" A giggle was inserted for emphasis on how lovely she thought his performance. "Mess? I don't see a mess. Your room is always so tidy. And we're going to hang out for a while! If you have time... I brought snacks... And movies?" And a note that you aren't supposed to know about? Yes, keep that one quiet.

Horobi chimed and jingled and continued to sway in the air, completely forgetting that his mistress was in the room now. In fact, he was so focused on keeping Belladonna happy that he twirled and swung about as Kasumi was explaining what all the fuss was about. Kasumi went to her desk and deposited the papers after embracing her dear friend. “I’m so glad you are well, Miss Belladonna. All of this is some… preparations. Oh Jack, who am I kidding? I can tell you. It’s not like it’s some big secret operation. Miss Rain and I are hosting a dance!”
The ghost elaborated with great gestures as Horobi careened through the air and through her, both of them being ghosts. “I’ve got a lot of planning to do, but it’ll be a lot of fun. It’ll be bloody scareintine themed, I believe. We’re working on playlists if you have any suggestions?” Filing through some of the paperwork, the ghost smiled and turned to see Belladonna standing there with a bag full of goodies. “Oh! How rude of me. Please, sit down! Would you like something to eat? I got so caught up in my planning that I became a terrible hostess!”
Horobi chimed again and barrel-rolled through the air. Kasumi giggled at him. “I didn’t really teach him to do that, but it’s like he wants to communicate. He doesn’t have a mouth, so I suppose this is the next best thing! He certainly likes you a great deal, Miss.”

"A dance?!" At that the witch couldn't help but try to snatch up the dancing pet and twirl with him. "And a Scaretine dance? A bloody one at that? Oh Kasumi that sounds delightful! And with Rain? I was in Krumm Car with her!" The idea of a dance was incredibly inciting, but who would Belladonna take? Hhmmmm. "Playlists? Ooh! I can bring my eyepod soon and give you a few songs. I have a lot of music, but are you looking for all kinds?" She had a number of dance tunes, but if it was a Scarentine dance they would need slow songs. Oh yes, slow songs... A small blush stealthily was creeping up on the girl!
"Oh, no its fine! I kind of just popped by without texting you. I thought I had, but I suppose I didn't... Oops!" Though she fumbled with her skellyphone, it still didn't provide her with the necessary distraction to make that dratted blush go away. "And no worries about the food, I brought some!" Here she held up the bag, but realized Kasumi couldn't SEE through it so she reached in and pulled out a little plastic bag full of cookies. "My Aunt Giselle sent me these! She cooks amazingly well!" At the mention of Horobi, Belladonna looked up to watch him happily roll through the air. "Awww, thanks Horobi! I like you too!"

Kasumi tilted her head in happiness when the idea of a dance seemed to make Belladonna so delighted. Horobi danced with her too, chiming with joy at every twirl. As Kasumi quickly cleaned up the cluttered (or so she thought) paper on her desk, she turned back to the witch and became quite curious. “Oh, you have your eyepod with you? That would be wonderfully helpful, you have no idea. I’m afraid I don’t know much about the music around here, though I did rule out the Spice Ghouls…”
Taking up the food Belladonna presented, Kasumi turned it over and over in her hands, examining it. “Any input you would have would be very helpful! You’re very… ah, knowledgeable? That is, you know so much about trends and fashion and things, Bella! I’d be delighted if you could assist me with the planning. I can get my list if you have any ideas?” She rushed to the desk and returned to the witch with it.
“Oh Miss Bella, would you have a date to the dance?” she asked innocently.

Belladonna watched as Kasumi cleaned up what wasn't a mess at all and silently promised herself to clean her room better when she returned later that evening. Good thing they weren't meeting there! Skirts and petticoats and ribbons were strewn about! It was really a mess and Binx had been attempting to clean it when Belladonna left, but she knew he would be asleep on some skirt or another when she got back. "Yeah! Usually I bring it with me whenever I go! Just in case. And yeah, the Spice Ghouls are kind of old school... But not BAD!" At least, Belladonna still had a few Spice Ghouls on her eyepod. Best to keep that bit of information to herself.
"Hhmmmm. Let me think on it..." The witch invited herself to Kasumi's bed, crossing one leg thoughtfully and tapping a finger to her chin. "Can I see your list? That would help a lot! So long as Rain doesn't mind me helping! I don't think she would, we seemed to get along on the Christmas Raid!" It would be lovely if she could help with the dance! It was best to help without actually being a part of any sort of organized school function. Made everything seem more... Organic? Whatever.
"A DATE?!" Had she yelled it that loudly? Oops. "Um, I'm sure I'll find someone to take... How about you?" A self-conscious hand was placed to her cheek. Oh dear, she was really blushing. Best to play it as cool as possible...

Kasumi, admittedly, was still very new to the Halloween world. Belladonna herself was born here, so she knew more about the culture than the ghost did. Any and all input was appreciated and was sure to make the dance bigger and better than it would be without it. Kasumi was quite thankful that she had a friend like the good witch to help her out with everything she needed. She’d be lost without Belladonna. Without a word, Kasumi gave her a hug and smiled. “Thank you, Bella. You’re truly my best friend.”
As per her request, Kasumi retrieved the list in question and handed it to the witch. “Here’s what I’ve gathered from other students. I’m sure Miss Rain won’t mind if you help. Besides, the more student input we have, the better. The whole dance is for the students anyway.” She pointed out a few requests from students she wasn’t sure about. “Do you think these are suitable?”
The witch’s yelp made Kasumi’s hair stand at a sharp 90 degree angle. “Oh my. Do you have someone picked out already?”
