The day it seemed was meant to be full of ill fated coincidences. From the moment he'd woken up and started his hunt, clouds hanging low in the sky heavy with rain, or worse a dry thunderstorm. A chill wind whipping about the area, making everything howl and whistle. Normally the weather alone would have Triton upset, or at the very least, booking it to the nearest Inn. But despite the weather, and his lack of good company, Triton found himself rather cheery. He'd gotten himself a lucky break, and Kaiba had gathered some more then useful information on 'his' treasure. Of course it wasn't rightfully Tritons, but he was going to have his hands on it anyways. It wasn't as if anyone else was rushing to find the damned thing, which of course should have been the first red flag..
"You conniving, thieving, brilliant little poe. Honestly Kaiba if I weren't completely repulsed by you I might be tempted to give you a hug." Triton, was grinning from ear to ear, a great bit of his face hidden by his hooded cloak, the rest covered by his usual warm attire. If there was one thing Triton hated it was the cold, he'd gladly brave it just this once if it meant getting his hands on such a rare treat.."Do try to resist that urge then.." Kaibas form shimmered with the wind, the most visible thing of the creature was his wavering flame and lantern, the item seeming to duck in and out from beneath Triton's cloak like an ugly glowing shadow. "You know where this thing is then boy?"
"Hey..I can't read minds, but I can read a map, and I do know these parts fairly well." If Triton could have seen kaiba he would have glared at him, though there was little point, as the poe was unfazed by most human expressions and threats made against him. "And yet..its taken you this long to find this-thing your looking for. I'm skeptical." Kaibas voice was a taunting hiss too close to Tritons ear for comfort, the man doing his best to ignore the poe and focus on the actual task at hand. "And your ugly too, but you don't see me going on and on about it-Hello!" Triton froze, this had to be the place, hidden in a small alcove, a rundown ramshackle looking home; a home that really only looked like half of a house, the rest seemingly swallowed up by earth and vines. Unknown to most, the rest of the place lay safely nestled underground. A bit like an ultimate safe house, Triton was sure whoever'd built the place was overly paranoid. After all, who built half their home underground? People with things worth hiding, that was who...
"Soo..undead first right?" Triton gestured grandly at kaiba, giving the insubstantial poe a cheeky grin, before creeping around to the side of the house to find a less then visible way in. It wasn't as if he needed to worry about someone else being there, but he was always the cautious type. After all he wasn't gonna loose his skin over some piece of treasure..even if it was oh so valuable..

Her breath came out in little puffs of air, showing how chilly the air was. Audra knew that this job had been a bad idea from the moment the client first approached her. Seriously. Even the job description sounded impossible. But that was why she had taken it up. She thrived on the challenge, but now she was regretting her decision. This was just too much. Scathach and Arwendeil followed her as she ran through the abandoned rooms, dodging mouldy furniture as she headed for the stairs.
She knew she was surrounded. She knew there were too many of them for her to take out. So that had left her with little option but to run into the old wreck of a building someone had once owned. Right now, she could use Scathach and hide herself in shadows until they passed. The room was dark, so that helped a lot. Pressing herself against a wall, she summoned the shadows to hide her even as several men thundered past her, oblivious to her presence. She kept as silent as she could, until she heard the men calling out and finally, finally leaving.
"Bloody idiots." She muttered as she released the magic that hid her. She was tired, she needed to recuperate and heal and she needed somewhere quiet and relatively safe to do it. However shabby this place had once been, it would suffice for her needs at the moment. Sighing, she slumped against the wall and sank into a sitting position, too tired to bother about proper decorum. Arwendeil followed suit, curling next to Audra, her bright glow somewhat dimmed. Scathach just faded in and out of sight, his golden eyes glowing eerily in the darkness.
It looked like they would be here for a while. Audra sighed as she absentmindedly stroked Arwendeil and closed her eyes for a moment. She was still alert, but she really really needed a break.

There were NOT supposed to have been people there, in groups or single, running by or otherwise..no one, not a soul. And so it was, the sudden unexpected sound of them passing, was just enough to send Triton jumping out of his skin like a scalded cat! Triton absolutely hated surprises, specially the kind that got him caught and chased for his thieving..not that that ever happened, but on those few rare occasions.. Kaiba of course found this incident all kinds of amusing, silently laughing at his fool partner, watching Triton scurry quicker then a rat, and completely blind through a shattered window and into the dark home. Triton found himself cursing under his breath while he sat there in a crouch beneath the broken frame. Pressed, back to the wall, and listening for a few brief silent seconds, before moving off again at a crawl across the rough floor.
"Your soo sure this treasure is worth it boy?" Kaibas voice echoed like nails on a chalkboard inside his skull, letting Triton know just how mirthful he was about this whole situation. "You sure you wanna be chatting around in my head Poe? Yes though..I'm sure." Triton snapped back mentally, he knew the entrance would be on the floor, some sort of trap door somewhere or maybe if he was lucky, something more obvious. He was so distracted that he barely noticed the lone figure slumped up against the wall. The sudden appearance of the body made Triton hiss, biting off what would have been an all too loud gasp. Another thing there wasn't supposed to be here..bodies..
The figure was entirely still, maybe even dead by Tritons view. Dead and strange looking in the imperceptive semi-darkness. Triton hated dead things even more then he hated surprises. More then willing to risk being seen by something alive, then jumped by the odd body that was not supposed to be in the house. Triton pushed himself to his feet, hands at the ready as he slowly crept closer..

The loud crunch of a boot. Shattering of glass. Wait. Glass shattered. Who else was in here with her? Audra's eyes snapped open, quickly adjusting to the darkness. She cold pick up the scuffling of someone crawling across the floor towards... her. Her mind screamed alarms at her, and she heeded them.
Up on her feet in a flash, Audra headed to where the intruder was to find a poe and oh goddess. The last thing she needed. Triton. "So Triton darling," She began, voice dripping with sweetness and sarcasm. "Were you so enamoured by me that you had to follow me here?" She asked, her eyes sparking dangerously. Audra pulled out a dagger from her belt. The blade glinted dangerously, promising someone's end if they were to incur the disfavour of the one wielding the blade.
"Can't you just-" She took a step closer to him. "-leave-" Another step. "-me-" Yet one more step. "-alone?" She finished, bending down to face Triton, her blade dangerously close to the veins of his neck. Scathach floated slightly behind her and Arwendeil pressed closer to Audra's leg. She knew Audra was seriously pissed. And really, the last thing you wanted to do when Audra was pissed was to piss her off more.
"I swear, if you don't have a good reason to be here, I will break your bones and eave you here to rot." Her eyes narrowed as she hissed the words at him. The poe that had accompanied Triton looked rather malevolent, and Audra regarded him with more than a little apprehension but no fear.
Goddess. Was just a little peace and time too much to ask for from the fates? Apparently so. Audra sighed wearily as she regarded the Triton before her.

Any remaining traces of a smile on his face were promptly wiped away at the sight that sight that greeted him. The grinning mask dropping away to reveal tired aggravation beneath it, he was suddenly wishing it'd been a dead body. Or hell, anything else besides her! "Tsk, don't flatter yourself Audra darling, I'd sooner chase my own tail then waste my time stalking your frigid, albeit cute arse.." Triton sneered, adding a dislike of merc's to the ever growing list of things he hated. Who could the woman possibly be hunting all the way out here, here, in the middle of ever-loving nowhere! Goddess did he have the most terrible luck or what?
"Easy now, I kinda need that!" Triton froze up, feeling the blade ghost across the skin of his neck, far too close for comfort, the threat behind it very real he was sure. Triton didn't fear death any more then he feared her little bit of sharp metal, if Audra had been anyone less skilled he would have had the nerve to laugh at her. But she was far too close to dodge, and even he wasn't that stupid.
"I could tell you, should, and the truth is I'm not here for you. Though what I am here for is none of your business. Just like its none of mine as to why your here.." Triton spoke quick and soft, eyes darting between Audras partners and the blade in her hand, there was no budging room, but maybe.. "You see, I'm not so sure you wont leave me here to rot either way, and so it gives me no reason to go trusting you."
Kaiba chuckled raspy, eying the whole show with dark glee. This was entertaining, Bastion he was sure wasn't standing well for it, but Kaiba was eating it up. "You should start with his tongue miss, it wags too much.." a grin in Kaibas voice as he spoke. "You should learn the meaning of silence Poe.." Triton hissed shooting the ghost a nasty glare. The damned poe was not helping things!

"Funny. I'd believe you would do track me from Gerudo Valley to Castle Town just to annoy the heck out of me." Audra answered, her expression hard. Honestly, she didn't know why she wasn't slitting his throat already. It wasn't like she couldn't. After all, her blade was at his neck, ready to slice into Triton's skin.
Of course he wouldn't answer her directly. Nope. Not even when his life was at stake. "You're not going to need it where you're going if you don't tell me what the hell you're doing here." She shot back bluntly. Audra's temper was rising. Hell. Just a little more pushing from him she'd slit his throat. She really would. She pushed the dagger just a little closer to his neck, until it pressed into the skin of Triton's neck and little beads of blood began to form.
"Cut the crap, Triton." Audra glared at him. "If you do not tell me now why the hell you are here, I'll slit your throat here and now." She deadpanned. She was in no mood for banter of teasing, never mind dealing with someone she really disliked. "If you want to rot here, by all means, I'll let that happen." She shrugged. "I'm sure the world will be happier without you." Her lips were pressed into a tight line. Her patience was wearing very thin.
"You." She directed her glance at the poe briefly. "Should learn to shut the hell up. You may be insubstantial, but it doesn't mean you can't be harmed." She glared at the poe before turning back to Triton. "If you want to live for another minute at least, you better answer me." Audra hissed. Her nerves were already frayed from the fight earlier, never mind Triton. She would gladly slit his throat for no reason save to maintain her sanity.

Triton had enough grace about him to look slightly mollified, his lips pressed in a tight thin frown as Audra spoke, the woman really was peeved, and if he looked closely, he could see she wasn't looking to hot..Well she was always hot! But she seemed a bit worn, tired, mostly pissed of course..then again, wasn't she usually pissed at him? "Trust me Audra, if ever I did do such a thing it wouldn't be for the sake of annoying you. Even I've got a life and some standards! Triton tried to smile, but it just wouldn't come, this whole thing was a bust, and he wasn't getting anywhere with trying to talk circles around her.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! For all you know I might need it, who says you cant take it all with you when you go right?" Triton winced and hissed, holding himself from flinching when the blade bit gently against his skin, drawing blood and sending up a thousand little warning flags in his mind. "Alright, I'll tell you! He's not very likely to shut up though, not any more then I am...but yeah..telling you, about the thing..Erm the reason I'm here." Triton wanted to groan and moan about this whole thing, but breathing too deeply to do either would surely get his throat slit..
Kaiba burst into a small fit of snickers, Bastion and Thurn safely tucked away within Triton for their unique uses, were seething, intrigued yet also seething, not as keen on seeing their master's existence cut short. "Triton, where do you find these women of yours hmnn..I like this one, much better then the others." Kaiba's golden lit eyes sparkled with Audras promise, oh he did indeed Like This One! "Your misssunderstanding our relationship I fear..If he dies I'm free..and if I am snuffed out, well he would be quite miserable. Either way it is a win-win for me, so feel free to play!"
"Shush! Really between the two of you, its a wonder I'm still breathing. M'n here for treasure though.." as if that wasn't already obvious, really why else would he have been stalking around this creepy a** place! "A very specific, very rare treasure, and though I'm not sure what it looks like, I am sure; at least mostly sure, of what it does." Triton glanced away from Audra, giving a fractional lift of his shoulders in a shrug. His hands clenched in fists where they were, he was quite wishing he could give Audra a good piece of his mind, or even better a nice stinging scorch mark for her to remember him by. No one pressured information outta him, no one! The witch..

Triton truly did not value his life did he? He could still tell her complete bullshit even when his life was at stake. That just went to show how much for an idiot he was. Audra would be lying if she said she wouldn't kill him. That much she knew. Her patience stretching very thin, Audra glared at Triton as she waited for an answer.
The poe however, was another matter. "I said harm. Not kill. It means you sustain injury. You don't die. But you will suffer." Audra shot at the poe, her eyes fixed upon Triton. There was a way to hurt poes, and Audra knew it. And if this poe proved to be like his master, well, Audra would hurt the poe. Badly. Badly enough that he would suffer, but not enough to kill him.
"You better not be lying." Audra hissed as she removed the blade from Triton's neck. She gave him a kick for good measure before turning on her heel and walking away, heading towards the back, Scathach and Arwendeil trailing in her wake. That was one problem solved. Now to solve the other. She did have a couple of potions, but she was loath to use them as she couldn't afford to waste them. She would be fine after a while, but if she got attacked again, she would have to use them.
Damn Triton and his espers. Why the hell did they have to come here to hunt treasure? Triton could go stick his head in the sea and scream for the Zoras to find treasure for him by the sea but why did he have to come to this goddess forsaken place? Especially why when she was here hunting down a man? The fates were undoubtedly cruel in this matter. Sighing, she leaned against and wall and crumpled, too tired to bother with sitting properly.

Triton flinched at the kick, growling angrily at Audra for it, the woman had no grace, none at all! "Oi, your a brute you know that!" The man huffed before pulling himself up off the floor. Smiling slightly at Kaiba's nerve, the poe and him rarely agreed on much. Still didn't agree actually, but it was nice to hear the Poe hiss menacingly at the thought of being tortured through Triton. Maybe Kaiba was right about her though, he liked her, her moods no, but something about her somewhere in there was likable in a way.
Of all the things he could have lied to her about, and that list was surely long, lying about treasure was not something he could imagine doing! The specific nature of said treasure was his and his alone to know, but simply admitting he was looking for some, well there was no harm in that. "No reason to lie, not about that at least.." Triton rubbing absently at his neck and frowning deeply at Audras retreating back. She wasn't going to get away so easily..
Really it was no wonder she didn't have a man, she probably scared them all to pieces before getting to know them properly. "Treasure is my life, as much as kililng is yours I'd imagine." Triton's smile a bit smug, approaching Audra cautiously, trying his best to stay out of grabbing range. "Speaking of reasons for being places, what exactly is yours for being here? You don't seem the type to go skulking in abandoned dens of filth such as this.."
He knew he hadn't been imagining it, Audra really wasn't looking her best, not that she ever looked bad, but exhausted and crumpled up on the floor like a wet noodle..A very-very-violent and deadly noodle, well that just didn't suit her. Of course she still had the energy in her to skin his hide, but maybe not for much else."Kaiba, shoo for a bit eh', you know what I'm looking for." Watching the poe roll his big golden eyes before flitting out of sight, his little lantern occasionally popping into view now and again while he hovered about the place.
He should have left her where she sat, should have turned back around and helped Kaiba search. But Audra was a lady, a dragon of one, but a lady all the same, and it really didn't sit well to leave her there like that. "You are okay, right? Because I can help..." He could barely ask the question without cringing, gods but he hoped she didn't need his help.

"I could do worse, you b*****d." Was all Audra said as she walked away. The idiot. b*****d. If he came near her again, she swore she would murder him, good reason or not. Especially so if there was any sort of smart remark about her person or well, anything. She had no patience to deal with him, especially at this point in time.
Every muscle in her body screamed at her to lie down and sleep forever so that they could take a break, but no matter how worn she was she would have to continue. She could afford a long break, but not a proper sleep. That would cost her too much time. Time she didn't have. So instead, she slumped against the wall, offering her muscles a small relief as she closed her eyes. Hell, even her butt hurt. That just went to show how much she had been pushing herself in the earlier fight.
Thankfully, there were no severe injuries. Just a few cuts, scrapes and definitely quite a few bruises. In fact, she could see the dark purplish blue mark beginning to form on her pale skin. "Triton, why the hell would I be here willingly?" She asked, irritated. "I mean, life doesn't get any better from being outnumbered in a fight, chasing after a man who seems to disappear, being on a job with a very short deadline, seeing you, having to force you to tell me why the hell you're in this goddess forsaken place with rotting walls, mouldy floors and a roof just a few raindrops away from caving in." She continued sarcastically.
"So, of course I'm perfectly fine and dandy, just waiting for someone to kick the s**t out of me so I can finally kick the bucket." She finished, staring at Triton, her irritation obvious. "Doubtless you'd like to try, but you;re too much of a wimp to, and you know I'll stick a dagger through your gut before you even get near me. So, if that's your idea of help by all means, come." She gave him a challenging stare, somehow managing to look fierce and intimidating despite her obviously worn-out state.
Arwendeil giggled, somewhat amused. Triton was one of those people whoe managed to get on Audra's nerves. She wasn't easily irritated, yet somehow.. Well, Triton was better off watching his neck around Audra. Scathach was fooling with shadows again. He cast them everywhere, pulling darkness around him and his merry band of Audra and Arwendeil. A thought crossed his mind and he decided to try it, softly cackling as he zoomed around, drawing all the shadows to him until he stumbled upon a small box.
It looked pretty unassuming, but the tarnished lock upon it piqued his interest. That gave the unassuming box a whole different aspect to it, one that Scathach decided made it worth investigating. A box full of secrets perhaps? The thought greatly pleased Scathach as he went to Audra to share what he found.

"Tsk, yes me, I'm the b*****d in this situation!" There were a few things Triton could have said about that, but he wisely shut up, growling in frustration and tossing his hands up, there was just no dealing with the woman, she was a veritable train wreck! No, no wait, she was a pissy goron! A terrible, fire breathing dragon with knives for hands and a hot iron poker for a tongue! Yes that fit much, much better.
"Heh, well Miss Audra, I didn't ask if you were here willingly, but it's good to know that your out on a job. I'd be a bit worried about your mental status if you were here willingly.." Maybe even worried that she was after his treasure, though what she could want with it he couldn't begin to fathom, it wasn't really anything that could be of any use to a woman of her particular talents. "Ah-you, you know that's not what I meant by help! And though it might be true that I'd never pick a 'fair' fight with you. It doesn't mean I wont set this place up in a blaze around us just to be rid of you." Audra, this she devil, she was infuriating, absolutely, just GAH! If he didn't enjoy his looks so much, he'd rip his hair up out of the sheer frustration he had speaking with her.
"I swear your tougher to deal with then a cranky Goron, er a wounded one maybe. Listen, if you do happen to need 'help', and I can see you obviously don't. Just know that I do carry around things for just such occasions. I tend to get myself in a lot of trouble so..you know..I keep potions on hand." Triton floundered, pinching the bridge of his nose and sighing again. He knew he shouldn't get too angry with the woman, she was injured, she'd obviously had a worse then hell day, she was exhausted..It didn't mean she had to be so ornery about everything. "Wait, those men were after you? Thank god's, but still, your little prey vanished out of thin air did he..that's interesting..." Running a gloved hand through his long hair, a slight smile reappearing to chase away the forming frown lines. "How about, and I'm not talking a partnership here, but how about I help you, and you help me. We can both get what we want and get outta here that much quicker. And by help I mean not kill each other until we're outta this dump at least! This would be a nasty place to die by anyone's standards.."
Kaiba was a bundle of upset, checking the places he'd expected the 'treasure' which he did not know the appearance of thanks to Triton, to be. So far it wasn't showing up, nothing obvious at least..there was still below though..but Kaiba'd rather drag Tritons arse down there then bother with it by himself.

"Yes you. Hell of course it's you. You're a pest. I could think of other words that would be more appropriate that merely b*****d, but then again." Audra's lips were in a line, as if she was trying to stop herself from saying more. Infuriating b*****d. less than one minute with him and she could feel herself flaring up, despite the fact she didn't really have the energy to argue with him. She just couldn't help it. There was something about him that irked her. Cursing, she tried to bring herself under control.
"You mean worried about your gains if I were here for no apparent reason." Audra retorted hotly, her temper beginning to show on her pale cheeks. Doubtless they were flushing with anger as she regarded this.. this.. this man! "You idiot. If you even try that be grateful that I don't find you and kill you because unless I'm heavily drugged I am not burning in a fire." She hissed, standing again, her hand at her waist, fingers around the handle of a few daggers. She would pull them out and throw then at Triton if she didn't mind cleaning the blood off her blades. It may just be worth it. A grim smile crossed Audra's face as she contemplated this.
"I've dealt with Gorons before." She shrugged, eyes narrowing. "And, to be frank, I do not trust you enough to accept a potion from you. Who knows? What if you poisoned it?" She sneered, her mistrust of him clear. Audra had never hidden the fact that she disliked him, threatened his life more than once, promised him that she would break his bones. Goddess, it was tempting to. Her eyes narrowed even further until they were nothing but slits as she regarded Triton. "And the catch?" She asked. Doubtless he wanted something in return. "Well, this nasty place would suit you. After all, it needs to be burned down, so you can have a cremation here." She snapped at him.
Scathach had suddenly appeared. He seemed agitated as he drew closer to Audra. "I found a boxxxx." He hissed softly as not to let Triton hear him. "It'sss locked. A big lock." He added, piquing Audra's curiosity. "Hide it. Don't let Triton or any of his espers see it." She murmured. That box could very well be what Triton was looking for. Besides, a bargaining chip was never a disadvantage for her. Scathach drifted away, hurriedy engulfing the box in shadows to hide it.

Triton rolled his eyes, it really was pointless for him to try and reason with the girl, even more pointless it seemed to offer her help, that was in this one rare instance free of charge, tricks, poisons, or a chance for him to push her that little bit closer to death.. "Yes, of course I'm woried about my gains. I'm barely concerned for you as well, but mostly my gains." There wasn't much a point in lying to her about that, and Audra was always the kind of woman who could see the forest from the trees.
Triton barely managed to hide a snicker, watching Audra get back to her feet threateningly, glaring at him like she wished she could stab him in a million different unpleasant places..The grim smile threw him for a moment, chasing away the joy with a queasy feeling. Ohh he did not like that smile on her. "I wouldn't go and poison one of my potions darling, specially not since I'm the type who'd probably drink it and accidentally poison myself in the process. Besides, I have poisons for that purpose..and I do not mix the two. I'm glad you know better then to trust me though!" Triton smiled, really if this were any other situation he'd be happy she didn't trust him, right now though he rather wished he'd been a tad nicer to her.
"No catch this time, just help, in return for a bit of help. I need to find something, and so do you it seems. I'm not having much luck, and neither are you. See were a perfect mesh of bad luck and loss right now, it's only right that we help each other! Its a free offer Audra, I wont give it to you a second time." Triton huffed, narrowing his eyes at her. She was being purposly dificult he was sure. It was annoying, but he could deal with it.
Kaiba's creeping presence a slight deterrent, noting the poes agitation at continuing to have zero luck.. He could hear his cheeky espers voice echo through his head, gripping about how the information they'd gotten was to old..that maybe someone else had beaten them to it. It was enough to make Triton want to burn the place down, to call upon Thurn and have him rip out the floor boards just for the sake of finding the thing. It was annoying enough having to do this with Audra around, not trusting the woman enough to take his eyes off her, lest she turn around and stab him in the back.
"What are you looking for anyways Audra, I mean you know I'm after treasure. So what specifically, are you hunting.."

Audra raised an eyebrow. "Concerned for me. Oh my. I have to be losing my touch!" She gasped, the sarcasm clear in her eyes despite the expression. "Triton, who can barely look after himself is worried about me? Audra, one of the best mercenaries you can hope to hire?" She shook her head. "Don't be too concerned for me, be more concerned for yourself, fool." Her lips curled in distaste.
"Of course not, sweetie." Honey and sarcasm dripped in nauseating amounts from the last word. "If you did poison your potions and got hurt then drank one of them, I suppose the world would be too unhappy without you." Every word she uttered seemed to emanate sarcasm, and truth be told, there was no reason for her to trust Triton at all. None whatsoever. His loss, she supposed, even as she regarded him.
Why was she putting up with Triton again? Oh right. He was offering her some crackpot deal which was amazingly helpful in her job to preferably capture a rather elusive Sheikah thief. Well, half sheikah, half hylian if one was specific, but the point remained. She had to find him. "Unless you have any idea where Shadow is - yes the thief - you are not getting my help. For anything." She uttered the words with an unerring finality, making her stand on the issue inherently clear. Audra turned on her heel and stalked away, melting into the shadows and out of sight with a little bit of magic.
Somehow, she made her way to Scathach and picked up the box he had found. It was indeed an intriguing box. So ordinary yet so unusual. Probably what Triton was looking for. She smiled grimly for a moment, considering going back just to taunt him with this. Fate had other plans apparently. Boots crunched from far behind her, alerting her to the presence of a stranger. Reacting instinctively, she pulled the shadows over her again even as she was turning to see who it was.
How lucky she was. It was Shadow. "Great." She muttered under her breath. Stashing the box into the pouch she kept for potions, she simultaneously retrieved a potion and hurriedly gulped it. Triton would have to wait.

"I'm afraid I'm the one who's losing things love, my mind for starters, oh what was I thinking. Curse me and my attraction to nasty feminine beasts such as yourself!" Triton would have had to been ten times cursed with stupidity to have missed Audras sarcasm, the woman oozed it like a mange bitten dog drooled saliva, or rabid squirrels foamed at the mouth! Yes, something nasty like that. "Apparently I can look after myself a bit better then you. I'm not the injured one my dear, but of course if you'd rather I not be concerned then I wont be. I'm sure, you, Audra the best witch in the land can take care of yourself just fine." Triton was...pissed, he was missing out on an oportunity, she was going to be in his way whether he liked it or not, and even worse then being in his way, she'd not be helping him any with his search, which did sting a bit on his pride. Of course he truly was the fool she claimed, thinking he could have ever 'charmed' the stonehearted woman into anything, what with her hatred of him leading things..
Triton threw his hands in the air and seethed, he h-a-t-e-d, being called sweetie, especially with her tone. "The world wouldn't miss me, but I'm sure you would, who else would you have to hate, sweetie, if not for me." Triton felt like he was arguing with an old ex wife, the thought making him shudder and immediately wish he were anywhere else. This woman drove him mad.
Still he couldn't miss the juicy bit of gossip, the little slip of info she allowed to him about the thief. Of course the law of any and all good thieves dictated he had no reason to care whether this 'shadow' were caught and tortured by the woman or not, in fact it encouraged him to aid and abed miss audra, as long as there was something in it for him, and that chance was looking quite fleeting right now..Nonetheless, he hoped the poor sap was caught, it'd be a fun thing to see her take her wrath out on someone else for once!
"Fine, be that way..." Triton hissed, watching her vanish into the darkness and mentally cursing her for all he was worth. It wasn't like the woman would have been of much help anyways, she was no treasure hunter! Nope, a hunter of flesh and blood that one, mean and with absolutely no eye for valuables.
"Kaiba, I need you.." "Oh-ho-ho, you needed me quite some time ago, your chat with the missus didn't go so well did it?" "Shut it, she can go get her pretty self flayed for all I care. I want that damn treasure, and I want gone! Got it?" "Of course boy, of course, but if it's here, I haven't seen it..or sensed it.." "Well ******** me then.....Thurn.." The little white and gold Esper appearing perched atop it's masters shoulders, catching Tritons flickering gaze and sharing an uneasy glance with Kaiba before it hopped to the floor and went to dig through the ruins. Places where Kaibas ghostly form and ability to float through things seemed to fail him..Bastion as always the ever clinging presence, constantly attached to the boy. Triton was starting to wonder, quite quickly if the information he'd gained had been rotten, if those memories had been too old, maybe this place had been picked clean and he was just running himself on a wild goose chase!
