Kuma walked towards the base of the hallowed out tree he knew his mother and fathered used as a home. With each step he felt his heart fill more and more with dread. It was finally time. He could wait no longer. For the longer he did, the more trouble and harm it would cause. A sigh made him jump. So lost in thought he had forgotten he was not alone.

Hoshi sighed again then grumbled, "How much farther, Dad?"

"Not much father sweetie" he said with a glance back at the two behind them. He smiled at them for a moment until a gruff huff rang in his ears. Stopping dead in his tracks Kuma turned to see a all too familiar face.

Standing, turned broadside to them, a orange female speckled with black spots stared at them, her nose twitching in a half snarl. "What?" her deep rough voice growled, "Do you think you are doing?" Black braids fell around her shoulder, the red beads that held them clacking. Stalking forward, "I asked you a question. Kuma."

He gulped and felt Hoshi duck behind him for protection. "Uh. Well....y-y-you see mom.........I....well....I want you to meet someone....."

Fuega blinked bright green eyes at the girl with a half quirked brow at the strange female. She was silent for a long moment. Like steam gathering in a tea pot thing hit a breaking point, "What!?!?!" she half growled. Straightening she stalked forward, "Why." she roared, "Have I not heard of this sooner!? Does a mother not need to know when her child chooses a mate!?"

Kuma wilted, his ears folding back, "It's not like that mom. I....just didn't know how to tell you. Beyond Moirrana, Dad, and I.....you had no will to know or care for anyone else.....I...I just didn't now if you would ..approve...."

Feeling things had gotten out of hand, that his family was in danger of his own mother, Kuma put himself between them. "Look mom." he finally said sternly, his crimson eyes staring into her's, "Let's start over ok." Taking a deep breath and slowly releasing it. "I fell in love. A feeling so deep I could not ignore it. I have not forsaken or forgotten you. I never could...... I come today so you can meet your grand daughters." When he was sure there would be no blood shed he stepped a side slowly, "This is my mate. Tama. And she brings me great joy. Through our love we had two lovely daughters." He motioned to them, "Hoshi and Nyoko." Looking back he motioned to the spotted female, "Everyone. This is my mom. Angel de Fuega.....angel of fire........."


Nose still wrinkled she took in all he had said and stared at them for a long moment. "So you have made me a grandmother. " She looked to Kuma, "Why didn't you come to me sooner. In the past I would have killed for the comments directed at me. But at the same time, in the past I would have never let anyone close to me, let alone do the act that brought you and your sister into being. Things changed." Even though her voice seemed evil and rough she held a gentle air to her. "I am hurt to know you have kept this from me."

Fue reguarded the girl for a moment, "Don't fret it.....and..yes....yes I am...." she never knew how to take some one telling her she was pretty.

Hoshi leaned closer to her father, "So.....you took after grandma?"

Kuman nodded, "Yes...well....body type wise any ways....."

In a prowling manner Fuega stalked around her. Inspecting her. Seeing if this female was worthy of her son. "Fuega is fine." her unenthusiastic voice rolled.

"Mom. Don't creep her out please." Kuma sighed as he watched his mom stalk around his mate like a predator.

He waited for the worst to happen. And when it never did he was thankful.
"Seeing how worthy you are to be my son's mate." Fuega purred deeply.

Hoshi watched then leaned to her dad, "She doesn't get out much does she?"
Kuma shook his head softly with a smile, "Her territory is as big as her forehead....."
