It had been a while since Claire had visited Isadora. Even though she wasn't a big fan of medical personnel, the psychologist had been nice and helpful, and talking to her made the grunt feel quite relieved, knowing she wasn't the only one that had to deal with these problems. ...problems that weren't even hers to begin with - problems she'd stepped in and made her business, though for what reason she still wasn't entirely sure.
Regardless, today found the young woman standing outside the psychologist's office, knocking on the door as soon as the clock ticked over. She did enjoy being punctual, plus she had a great deal of important information to relay to Isadora, and she wanted to jump into it as soon as possible.

To be completely honest, Isadora wasn't expecting any patients or visitors for quite some time. Perhaps she had just forgotten, or maybe she was procrastinating and pretending that she had nothing to do. It was hard to tell. In any case, she busied herself by playing video games. In one of her larger cabinet drawers in her office was a television. It got no channels or stations, being a old clunker, but connected to it were a fine array of video game consoles, one of which was in use at that very moment. Colors flashed by on the old screen as a lengthy song played in the background and Isadora mashed her fingers on a controller shaped as a guitar, playing along to the music. Having been practicing this particular song for quite some time, Isadora had nearly gotten it perfect. Her attention was completely undivided. Then came the knock. Unlike her new trainer, Iditarod was listening intently for the door, and from her sitting position on the floor, a large rumble came from her throat in an attempt to alert her human of the imminent approach. Isadora blinked, acknowledging the growl as something that must be attended to and pausing her game. She set down the guitar-shaped controller against the cabinet and walked over to the door, smoothing out her skirt as she did so. When she opened the door, she was surprised to see Claire in front of her. Silently, she remembered that Claire was indeed supposed to come today. Right on the dot, too. She was punctual, to be sure. "Ah... Claihre. Tha's right, you wehre comin' today. Pleahse..." Isadora stood aside and smiled, gesturing with her arm for Claire to enter her office. She would have to write a note to remind herself to save her game.

The sounds of some sort of music floated out from the inside of the room, and then a rumble that sounded like... a pokemon? Oh dear. When Isadora opened the door, the young woman smiled, offered a "thank you" before stepping inside. Casting her eyes around quickly she spotted the source of the rumble - a gorgeous but large Arcanine. "Ohh, is he new?" She couldn't help but ask, referring to the large gray canine. "Is it a he, or..?"
No, she couldn't get distracted - afterwards, but not yet. "Anyway, thank you for seeing me again, Isadora. Sorry if I interrupted anything," the music had stopped after she'd knocked and heard the rumbling, "but I wanted to come talk to you as soon as possible. About Lucas again." It was odd to talk to a psychologist about someone else, but it would be a lot easier than talking about herself, to be sure.

Isadora blinked, unsure as to what Claire meant by her question. From where she judged the other woman was looking, she concluded that she meant Iditarod, who had sat up straight, keeping one eye on the new human who had walked through the door. Isadora chuckled. "Yeah... She's m' nehwest fahmily membah. Got ahssign'd t' me a short while ahgo. Guess they thought tha' I wahsn't much good wit' just Bahsil." She shot a kind smile in her Meganium's direction [who was currently sleeping soundly in the corner of the office] and then addressed Iditarod, who was patiently awaiting orders. "S'okahy, Iditahrod. She's no trouhble." With that, the large Arcanine sat back on her haunches and rested her head on her large paws. Isadora turned back to Claire. "Oh, dohn't 'pologihze. Ih'm here f'r you anytihme." Walking over to her desk, Isadora quickly wrote herself the previously stated reminder, then taped it to her computer screen. With that, she retrieved her clipboard filled with notes from hers and Claire's first discussion and sat on her couch. "Now... down to th' nitteh-gritteh stuhff. Y' wahnt t' talk t' me 'bout Luhcas? 'Ave y' learned anythin' new?"

"Ah," she said, a slight flush creeping into her cheeks as she was corrected. Well, it was a fifty-fifty chance, anyway, and from her position it just looked like a big fluffy mass of fur with an indeterminate gender. "She's beautiful."
After a cursory glance around, she decided to sit on the couch as well. It was definitely large enough for two people. "Yes, a great deal - well, not a lot, but has happened is incredibly important. Something's.. changed," she said, shifting uncomfortably as she tried to figure out how to word it. It wasn't a pleasant situation, anyway, considering Luke's sacrifice. Still, she drew a breath before speaking. "Luke's gone. After the last raid, he decided that he would be out instead of Lucas too much, I suppose," or at least that was the best way she could explain it without divulging all the details, "and that was undesirable. He was also worried that he would come to.." What had he said? "What you told me last time that he could potentially do - that he could end up trying to take over Lucas entirely."

While Iditarod did not really feel comfortable with this new human in the premises of her trainer, she could not help but swell a little from the "beautiful" comment, wagging her tail in her contentment. Isadora stared in surprise. Well... That was... interesting. "Luhke's... gone? Completeleh? Noht a trahce?" She had never heard of anyone with DID just being rid of their alter egos in one fell swoop. As far as medicine was concerned, it seemed quite far-fetched. Even so, it made Isadora wonder what exactly that would entail for Lucas in the future. She spoke hesitantly. "Wehll... I suhppose Luhke knew th' innah workings of 'is mind best... Pehrhaps he could tehll when Luhcas was readeh to start healin'? Tha's th' first pohssibiliteh tha' comes t' mind."

Isadora's surprise was completely expected, and the young woman attempted to quickly figure out how to phrase the explanation. "Well," she started hesitantly, brows knitted as she thought, "I don't think he's completely, 100% gone, but.. He said he had to 'disappear', though I don't think it had anything to do with when Lucas is or isn't ready to start healing," or what type of healing, considering everything he's been through, "but I think what happened is he sort of.. I guess buried himself in Lucas's subconscious somehow.. So he's still there, sort of, but more.. as a passive entity, I suppose. He said he's going to let Lucas have most of the memories back, so he'll start remembering things -- indeed he already has -- but not all at once and not everything. So I suppose.. Eventually he'll completely disappear, but for now he's still partially there to control what Lucas remembers and when." Wow, that was a mouthful, but it was what he'd told her and what she'd tried to figure out for herself, so hopefully it was a decent explanation.

Isadora chewed on her bottom lip in thought. That sounded rather far-fetched to her ears, but perhaps it was not out of the realm of possibility. But could a separate personality in one person just dissolve into the backdrop with no therapy or medication beforehand? Then again, it seemed like Luke meant no harm to Lucas, but... A thought suddenly came to Isadora, and she looked to Claire. "...Whaht reahction d' you thihnk Luhcas'll 'ave t' th' suhdden rush of mehmories? Based on whaht you know of Luhcas, I mean." Isadora folded her arms and sighed, her eyes gazing up at the ceiling above them. "I juhst hope th' reahction isn't a violehnt one."

"Um.." She bit her own bottom lip in thought, reaching up to run her fingers through her hair as she thought. What he had remembered seemed to excite him, and it seemed to reassure him as well in the case of learning about Galactic. She had a distinct feeling that if he hadn't remembered much, it definitely would've freaked him out. She still wasn't sure exactly what Luke let him remember, but what he had was helpful. "It depends," she said slowly after a long, thoughtful pause, studying the floor with brows knitted in thought. "Violent? He'd never hurt anyone -- unless, you mean.." Oh Arceus, did she mean hurt himself? Intentionally? She wanted to banish the thought completely and utterly, pretend it wasn't a possibility at all - but she'd seen his face before, she saw how badly some things affected him, and most of all Luke had told her that he had regretted one memory, and that it would break Lucas if he remembered it. "I hope not," she said quietly, passing a hand over her face. Arceus, she really hoped not...

Isadora winced as she nodded slowly. Indeed, it was a very real possibility that they could not ignore under any circumstance, lest it become a reality. "...It is noht impohssible t' imahgine that being th' cahse f'r anyone in Luhcas's pohsition. We ahlso might wahnt t' keep an eye out f'r any... wehll..."Isadora stopped herself, unsure how exactly to approach that particular little bump in the road that they might face. She opted for the subtly direct approach. "Wehll... Luhcas is ahround guhns a lot, isn't he?" Isadora gave Claire a questioning look to go along with that statement. Hopefully, she got her point across.

Her fingers curled around a thick lock of hair at the back of her head as she frowned. Isadora had a point, and even if she didn't want to think about it, she had to acknowledge it. There was a very real, definite possibility that Lucas could attempt something that stupid after remembering something rather unsettling. "He is," she said at length, sighing slightly. "He has a bunch of them, actually. I saw them the last time I saw Luke, he was cleaning them all. Not sure where he keeps them, though," she finished with a frown. Maybe she'd find out eventually?

"...Ah. I see. D'you knohw if he hahs any stohred away in his dohrm? Away frohm puhlic eye?"Isadora frowned and adjusted her reading glasses. "I'm mereleh curiouhs, of couhrse, but it might 'elp t' know if he does hahve an... ahdverse reahction to any regaihned mehmories. Whihle tha' shouhld not be our firhst prioriteh... It shouhld be amohng th' higher ones." Here, Isa smoothed out her skirt and scratched Iditarod's head. A distant look was in the doctor's eyes. "...Our firhst prioriteh is maihtainin' Luhcas's sahfety."

While she wasn't sure of the exact location of his weapons, she couldn't imagine him keeping them anywhere except his room. She just didn't know where in his room. "Oh, yes, I'm sure they're in his room. Not sure where, though," she said with a vexed frown. Not that they could just take them from him, that would be out of the question. He'd want to know why, and they couldn't tell him that. At the mention of adverse reactions she sighed, running her fingers through her hair again. "If?" If, ha. Funny. "He will. I can't see how he wouldn't." Not with what she knew, anyway. She really, truly hoped he would never remember what really happened to Morrison, because she feared that would be the breaking point. She really hoped she was wrong about that, though.

After a moment of spacing out and scratching the head of her large Arcanine, Isadora turned her full attention back to Claire. "Yehs, thaht's true...Wehll, if it is guarehnteed, then ahll we cahn do is wait and see how he cohpes with each mehmory to come, an' hope tha' we can stahll any bohmbs that might seht him off howevah long we cahn." The doctor propped her elbow on the arm of the couch, resting her chin in the palm of her hand. "I realleh dohn't see many othah options."Isadora sighed wearily and closed her eyes. When she reopened them, they were looking to the side, over in Claire's general direction. "I suhppose I dohn't need to ahsk to know thaht you'll suhpport Luhcas when thaht bohmb of a mehmory reahrs its ugly head, mm?"

Just wait and see. She hated that option, even though she knew very well that was their only option for the moment. That didn't mean she couldn't hate it, of course. "That's true," she murmured in agreement, though couldn't help the frown that formed at their lack of options. "I don't see any others.."
Bomb. Ha. That was a good metaphor actually, though Isadora had no idea how well it fit. Not every memory, of course, though finding out one or two things would be small bombs - Morrison would be the big one. "Mm? Oh, of course," she said absently, too caught up in her thoughts to hear all of what the psychologist had said. She'd caught 'support' and 'Lucas' and that's really all that mattered anyway, so that was good enough. "I just wish we could know when.." Oh, yes, it would be wonderful to know when exactly these powerful bombs would go off. Maybe there would be warning signs..? No, probably not. She had no idea what sort of warnings they could give, anyway.
