Basket Giveaway: A Personality and RP contest.So Echo's Song and Dradneos have been blessed with another three baskets. He instructed her in the his ways (that were ingrained into him from his father) and Midnight has taken these instructions well. She's a manipulative mare - always wanting to string stallions along ... while searching for the one that will allow her to pass on her knowledge and markings to the next generation. Personality: His/her name was given well, for he is an artist at heart. He loves to travel and see the beauty of the world. Not feeling close to his father, and feeling over attended to by his mother because of it. He sends word to his mother often, with words of his love, but dosnt like to feel settled.

Melody loves her family, but never feels like she belongs. Father is always giving others lots of attention, and he will often forget about her. She dosnt want to become like him, she also dosnt want to become like her brother. Melody feels sad for Dusk, she hates how he idolizes their father even though he ignores him. The only thing she can think to do is leave. She tells her mother she loves her and her siblings as well, and goes off on her own.

Personality: This Soq is calm, looking at things in earnest and weighing out the options and the consequences in order to make the best of every situation. Very little shakes him/her. (S)He is contemplative and as deep as the sky itself.

Rune Dancer/Sky Singer has noticed the way his/her father treats the other siblings. (S)He feels hurt for the loss that their siblings experience by not knowing their father or his loss by not knowing them. It is because of this that Sky Singer/Rune Dancer has decided never to hold the attitude that Dradneos exhibits toward his children. (S)He still loves Dradneos and the rest of the family very greatly, but looks at this as a chance to make the lives of those that come after better than the lives that came before.

Personality: One moment, he'll be there, the next he won't. He possesses his father's habit of focusing on the things that interest him to the point of ignoring other things. He is intelligent and deep-thoughted but at the same time prone to flaking off when his interest wanes. He will have a trademark way of speaking that edges toward poetic, though at this young age it appears somewhat rarely and it's far from polished when it does.
Short Prompt Response:
But I like me, he decided, after hours of turning it over in his mind. Concerns of who his parents did and didn't like had been tumbling through his mind all morning, but he felt he'd come to a satisfactory conclusion. It didn't matter if they would like him. HE liked him, and that worked well enough. He was tired of allowing himself to be manipulated for the sake of his mother's affections...and sick of trying to gain his father's favor. He shook the unhappy feelings from himself with a symbolic shake of his mane. The others had suffered for it. He was through. He'd be himself, and if they didn't like it, well, they could just... If I am me, then me I must be, I suppose. Such I must be happy with. With that question answered satisfactorily, he went back to sampling the many sharply flavorful plants that grew up around his feet, nearly oblivious to the rest of the world. Oblivious. at least, until he stepped in a hole.

Personality: Introspective and hopeful but among her family confusion and uncertain often reign.
Short Prompt Response:
Quiet and somewhat withdrawn, Rune considered her family. They were different, she recognized, from other mothers, fathers, and children, somehow distant. She loved her father with a daughter’s devotion but his affection was not always there and it hurt her. Her mother taught her the art of silence, though sometimes she longed to speak out. Her oldest sister was…confusing, Rune was not sure what to make of her and her way of saying one thing and meaning another. More than anything, Rune looks up to her oldest brother, Res for some unknown reason. Her heart is sad for him because she thinks he is lonely. In a family of allegiances, Rune is not sure where she fits in.

Why does daddy favor others more than me..? Why does he not even give my brother a look but smile sweetly at my sister..? Does Daddy hate my brother..? Is that why he is going to leave again..? Should i ask mommy why daddy favors others more..? Will i get yelled at for being curious? My sister seems to favor my daddy more than mommy..Is this something to do? Do i have to love mommy or daddy more? What does daddy think of me? Does he dislike me or no favor me..? I am going to ask Echo and Mommy why daddy favors some more than others..

YES a million times! I love to RP and i put my heart into it! I would love to RP someone new and one that has a family already. I think it would be really fun and i wont ever go away and would always keep in contact with you guys! No lie there i have people to back me up lol

Personality: Twilight's Requiem is a quiet, thoughtful foal. This isn't to say that s/he is shy, s/he just prefers to keep his/her thoughts private. Somewhat of a loner, this foal is a bit apathetic about attention from either parent or his/her siblings, and prefers to spend time alone, investigating little things that catch his/her attention. What s/he really enjoys, however, is the night sky. Twilight's Requiem often spends time simply staring up at the stars, mentally roaming through them and discovering what lies in the world of darkness and glimmering points. Did I mention s/he's a little strange?
Short Prompt Response: (For this response only, I am presuming Requiem's gender to be male.)
It was happening again. Dad was ignoring Requiem and focusing all of his attention on a different foal, one that looked more like he did. Fortunately, Requiem wasn't as bothered by this as his other foal mate was - he could still hear the sniffling even from here, the spot he'd chosen to get away from the entire mess. Judging from how little he saw his older brother, this wasn't the only time this had happened. His ears twitched as her heard the soft murmur of his mother soothing his distressed foal mate, the the happy laughter of the favored one.
None of the sounds affected him, however, as he turned his gaze skyward. His family was up there, amongst that vast field of darkness and stars. He couldn't see them right now, of course, because it was daylight; but still they sang to him, calling to him and surrounding him with their affection. Someday he would join them, run through the black fields and the glimmering jewels. For now, however, he would just have to watch them from a distance.

These elements will be the same for either gender though.
Name: Female, Dawn’s Elegy (Dawn); Male, St. Elmo’s Fire (Saint)

Temper: Empowered
Personality:
She will grow up torn between a desire to please her father and one to be an independent soul. As she ages this will shift into a sort of anger, directed inward toward herself as she seeks the approval of her mother and her siblings. This will eventually be worked out through RP, but whether this is through her own personal growth or through some sort of acknowledgment by her father is entirely up to you guys. Once everything has settled down she will become quite level-headed, but still keep her feelings very tightly reigned in to prevent herself assigning her worth to another’s opinion again.
Short Prompt Response:
His silence stung, often more than his words. It pained her to see the others shrugged off as she herself often was. Midnight was the lucky one, she thought. Lucky but not what she aspired to be. Dawn had always considered herself on the line between, though much of that was her own living construction. Still that construction had served her well for a time, the idea firm in her mind that she had no defined line to cross before he might show her approval. But that would not happen, it was becoming clearer as the days passed. With each sunrise her mind became sharper, his face less hidden in the shadows of idolatry. Mother was different, her love was a subtle one but always present. She would find no sanity in pursuing her father's affections, only pain as Dusk had. No, sanity lay in the open arms of mother, she need only open herself to the idea.

Personality: The foal will have taken the hint from her father and become very selective with those she chooses to accompany her. Only the strongest, fastest, smartest, and wisest of soquili will do.
Short Prompt Response: Well then, there must have been something wrong with them. After all, father was infallible; a god almost, in the eyes of his child. Therefore, there must have been a logical reason for him to favor some children over others. They must have been stronger, smarter, and just better than the others. Regardless of whether or not Deimos / Hedia was a favorite, s/he still would have learned to be very meticulous when choosing companions.

Personality: She is an attentive little foal and eager to please. However, she doesn't like making others hurt. This eagerness to please often conflicts with her unwillingness to harm others when her father tries to instruct her. It drives the little foal to distraction and anguish.
Twilight's Call often tries to find alternative ways to do what her father asks with often questionable results. The resulting outbursts may someday drive her to permanent silence. She loves spending time with her mother. Twilight's Call will become a mare who wants a strong stallion to protect her.
Short Prompt Response:
It had never seemed fair to her that daddy only picked some of his children to pay attention to. Twilight's Call couldn't figure out how they were different. She had spent hours trying to look at them as daddy might. He spent so much time with Midnight and her two siblings. She felt much like Resonance in the way he ignored her most times.
It was always worse after a lesson. Daddy would set her a task and she would fail miserably. Twilight's Call couldn't understand why her way didn't work as good as daddy's or Midnight's. Unable to take the feelings anymore she retreated to the comfort of her mother. The gentle voice and flowing white mane and tail always seemed to be a balm upon her soul.
When she felt as calm as a mirror perfect lake, Twilight's Call would trot back down to find the rest of her family. Hoping that this time she could spend some quality time with her daddy and maybe, just maybe, do something right.
